It’s Tuesday and it’s foggy and cold.
Today DS has his second Nativity Play; this is the one that parents with younger siblings aren’t allowed to go to. So poor DS will be on his lonesome for this one.
I have been thinking about how I can make some extra money next year and have decided that I want to give Mystery Shopping a try, so if anyone that does it has any tips on which companies are the better ones, how it all works etc please let me know.
DH also gave me three £2 coins last night, so they've gone in my terramundi.
Today I have a few jobs that I need to do:- Clean bathroom
- Wash up
- Clean hob and microwave
- Go and see my old work mate as he has a present for DS for Christmas
- Decide on what to do for dinner, hunt in the freezer I think

I'm happy I could just burst!
After being out, I returned home to find that the postman had been and that there was a letter from the mortgage company...was a bit worried as we'd had a letter from them last month telling us that they were upping the repayments by £10 per month.
Anyway the letter was to inform us that the mortgage repayments were going down with effect from the 1st January 2009:T This has saved us £47.53 per month
This has seriously made me happier as it has reduced our outgoings a bit more and also means that I can put that little bit extra in the moving fund

Hi Tea,
sorry I havent been in for a while but you sure have been busy
Great news about the mortgage I think you should  to celebrate & I'm really pleased to hear that DDs scan was no cause for concern.
You're doing so well

Morning all,
DD hasn't had any scan yet only a blood test. The consultant wanted DD to have an x-ray but they won't do one on a child under 3 and have referred it back to the consultant.
The isotope scan is if the lump hasn't reduced in size within 3 months when we go to see him next.
Don't feel too great this morning, had a bit of a headache yesterday and just feel sick this morning. I really hope that I haven't got the bug that's going round DS's school....I really do not need it.
This morning DD and I are off to Tesco's Gatwick with the hope of not getting lost to get the rest of the stuff for Christmas and this afternoon we are going to the soft play centre, not the local one, with DS's bestfriend and brother and mum.
So although a busy day hopefully not too stressful.
Have a good day everyone.0 -
Sorry you are not feeling too good.
But your other news from the week - bonus, mortgage reduction etc sounds fab! Good luck with the savings to move - £30k sounds about right, and I am sure you will get there faster than you think!
Hope you feel better soon.Successful women can still have their feet on the ground. They just wear better shoes. (Maud Van de Venne)Life begins at the end of your comfort zone (Neale Donald Walsch)0 -

Good afternoon and Happy Birthday Karmacat

Just thought I'd pop on before I go to pick up DS from school.
We safely made it to Tesco's only taking one wrong turn and managed to get safely back home again and have spent the last of the stamps/vouchers that my lovely mum sent down to us
I had a call from Majestic wine in Croydon to say that they have a gift of wine from my mum that they are going to deliver tomorrow morning
Surprise number 2! By the time 2009 has arrived DH and I will be pickled! :rotfl:
In the back of my mind I do hope that mum isn't making herself skint despite her saying that I don't know what she's got saved ...true I know but I do still worry
I have decided that I like going shopping for food at Christmas and next year I am determined to have enough saved so that I can do it all again.
The bug seems to have subsided although I do still feel queasy; however the soft play is off for today as DS's bestfriends mum rang to say she's not well and is going back to bed...so although DS will be disappointed I think I may have to come up with a plan.0 -
Morning hope everyone is well today?
Still feel queasy but not as bad, I was in bed at 9.30pm but woken by DD having a restless night all night.
As my mum has been really generous, DH & I decided to treat her in return as a thank you; she loves listening to Janet & John sketches that are played on Terry Wogan's show on Radio 2, so we bought her one of the CD's so that she could listen to it and also got her Band-aged which has arrived and she loves. After Christmas I am going to send her some flowers to bring in 2009 for her.
Today not much is happening, list is as follows:- Boots for shampoo and shower gel - using points
- Washing
- Ironing
- Washing up
- Dinner - Marinated pork chops, cheesy potatoes and peas
Also forgot to mention, DH got a bottle of champagne and a bottle of wine off two different sub-contractors.0
