HELLLOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO I'M HEREEEEEEEEEEEEEE!
Do you feel better now?? Nothing is usually quiet if I'm around!
So yesterday went well except for 1 slice of bread and a handful of cereal. Not bad.
Today is a bit poopy really because I'm working v.late so I'll have to run to Mr S and get a ready meal (boooo!!!!!). Bit annoyed really because I could have planned in advance and brought some leftovers from home. Oh well. So today is probably:
B - Yog (1.5)
L - Pitta, ham and soft cheese (3)
S - Blueberries (0.5)
D - Canneloni Ready Meal (3.5)
S - Apples, crisps. (2)
And I'm thinking of a nice frapuccino to wake me up! (2.5)House saving Targets:

It is quiet isn't it!
I am twiddling my thumbs waiting for the people at the MRI department to ring back to let me know if they can give me a different time for my scan. The one they gave me is on March 2nd at 6:10pm, great (if a bit too distant in the future!), but it clashes with a talk that my husband is giving.
I know he would change/cancel it if I ask him, but he has been involved with the planning for the International Year of Astronomy stuff for a couple of years now, and now it is here at last, he is doing loads of stuff for it. He has already missed the Astrofest in London last Saturday as the roads were decidedly dicey, so I want him to fulfill as many of his committments as possible.
He has done so much for me in the 25 years we have been married, but most especially in the last couple of months since I have had this crook back. :A
So I can't contact book my follow-up appointment until I have an agreed date for my scan. I also want to talk to my doctor, but again need my scan time..aaargh it is so frustrating .
Help, I have lost my cursor! Oh well I can still write.
So food today:
B/D: (I slept in!) Porridge, OJ
S: maybe something reasonable as I am only having two main meals today.
Toast, low fat marg and HM blackcurrant jam (mmmmm!), fruit
T: (yes I am Scottish too, so it is tea in the evening!). Fish & HM oven chip & veg
S: SF jelly with fruit
Must go and see if I can hang the washing out. I am not sure if I can carry the basket all the way to the line, this is my exercise for the day! I may wait until DS1gets back from his piano lesson.
I'll let you know how the scan stuff goes.
Hope you are all managing to enjoy the lovely day today, I am going to look at my snowdrops and winter aconites! Perhaps my hellebores are starting to flower too!

Good afternoon
Not posted for a couple of days as been very busy and life seems to be going at 90mph. So it is nice that today it is at a slower pace so I can do some of the things I enjoy to do.
Making a soup tomorrow so I am soaking the peas and beans ready for this. it is going to be for tomorrows dinner so it will be packed with vegetables. I will add in lentils also so it should make it very filling and full of fibre.
I had a bit of a bad day yesterday firstly I thought I would try this new ballet move I had learntalright I own up it was a fall really
. I was in the bathroom and stood up from the toilet and fell backwards hitting the toilet cistern right across my back. To say the least that was painful and not a move to be repeated anytime soon.
Then if that was not bad enough I had a freak accident. I was getting into a van and sitting down. In my pocket of my long cardigan was my pill container. Has I sat on the seat of the van I sat on the pill container. Normally it would have sunk into the padding on the van seat and my fat/skin on my base of my back. Though unfortunately I managed to sit on the part of the seat that contains the fasting for the seat belt. This part is flush to the chair and you never have any trouble from it but with sitting on top of that and my pill container at the same time recipe for disaster. It hit my tail bone giving me a shooting pain up my spine and down my right leg. I suspect by my knowledge of your body it was the sciatic nerve that I happened to hit. I have this morning a lovely black bruise and it is still very tender and sore. So both incidents shook me up a bit and recovering today.
Menu for today.
Breakfast Cereal with flaxseed
dinner pork, with potato, brussels, cabbage and carrots
tea chicken sandwich, with tinned peaches and natural yoghurt.
snacks. cuppa soup, fruit, yoghurt or nuts.
Nothing else to report so take care everyone till next time

Hello everyone - well done on the STS Taplady!
Keiss - hope they rang you back with an alternative date.
Purpleorc - ouch! hope it's less painful now.
Food today has been absolute rubbish - I have been alternating between feeling absolutely terrified about my hysteroscopy on Tuesday and then eating all kinds of rubbish in the kitchen to take my mind off it. I was supposed to go to Slimming World tonight but just couldn't face it which was not the right thing to do I know. The thing that is worrying me most is that if I have to have a hysterectomy then it will be so difficult because I am so fat - I am just beyond terrified and I feel guilty because when I have looked up period problems on the internet it says that fat women are more likely to get uterine cancer, so then if they do find that it will be my fault. Anyway sorry to go on and be so self pitying - I should just put it out of my mind but I just can't seem to... The sensible thing to do would be to eat lightly and well until Tuesday and then at least I won't feel so bloated and uncomfortable and try and think positive thoughts - has anyone got any ideas how I can do that?
Sorry to be such a wimp.
Hope you are all having a good evening!Jane

RS....hugs for how you are feeling.
Not sure that I can help you feel any better, but try to think pleasant thoughts....if you have uterine cancer it is too late to worry about whose fault it is...its really nobody's fault as cancer is something that hits without reason...people who do all the right things get cancer, people who do all the wrong things don't, not universally but we all know people who contradict all the things we hear are good or bad for us. What I am really trying to say is that whatever the outcome is, IT IS NOT YOUR FAULT...fault is when you deliberately do what you shouldn't do, the problems that you (and I and many others here) have with food is linked to something deep down in our subconscious that we cannot come to terms with...it may be as simple as being good girls we eat all we are given...I don't know what my 'link' is, you probably don't know yours, we are doing our best and at present our best is just not enough to do anything about the weight.
Not sure that any of the above rambling will be of any help, just remember that you are not guilty of any crime but that you do owe it to yourself to be kind to you...try deep breathing to help you relax, it is the only thing I find of any help.
We are all here for you with kind thoughts and prayers and shoulders to cry on should you feel the need.
Much love,
Marie
