Morning. We've got snow on the south coast :D

OH decided roads were too treacherous to drive, buses aren't running so we WALKED 5 miles to work in the SNOW! Mad

Still its good exercise - I'm just hoping the buses run later coz the 5 miles back home is going to kill me!

We passed lots of cars stuck trying to drive up icy hills, they were sliding into the kerbs and all over the place.

Anyway, forgot to weigh today so will do it tomorrow.

Well done to all the losers.

Hello frogga - hope your new challenge inspires you - keep us all informed how you are doing :D

  • Hello everyone - only a very light covering of snow here this morning but they say we are due to get more later today which will please DD2 who felt very cheated when she watched GMTV this morning and saw all the snow down south!

Well done Keiss on the loss (hope you get some news on the MRI scan soon) and glad you enjoyed the football spartacus - and 3.6lbs is not alot in a week if you have eaten all kinds! Marion - Im sure you will lose next week when you go to class - you menus always sound lovely! Floyd - I find that sugar free sweets work a treat for clearing you out! I ate a whole tube of sugar free mint thingies once and

Yesterday I stuck to my eating plan. I tried Quorn sausages for the first time and don't think I will have them again as they had a weird consistency and taste IMO. I sliced them up thinly and dry fried them until they went crispy and that improved things - I then put them in a big omelette with peppers, onions and mushrooms with a bit of grated half fat cheese on top. Sort of my version of fritata. It was yummy and I had it with McCain rustic oven chips which are much nicer than the SW chips and only 1 syn per 100g so not worth all that faffing around with the SW ones IMO.

This morning I have had two toasted dry crumpets with a cup of coffee - I just put a sprinkle of cinnamon mixed with Splenda on them and they are really nice!

Lunch and dinner will be decided later as I am in the middle of a big flylady like clean ATM.

Hope you are all okay and keeping warm.
    Jane

To those who don't really like quorn sausages - Cauldron veggie sausages are really nice - even meat-hungry hubby likes those ;)

I have to say I didn't like them - found them too peppery for my taste but I dont like quorn ones either much! I miss proper bangers now I dont eat meat. I have the glamorgan ones - not that low fat but delicious(cheese and leek) and you can get them in Asda or Sainsburys.
Well done on the 5 mile walk:T newlywed! hope you can get the bus home!

Keis - well done on your loss:T hope you get your MRI soon, my DH had one on his back and he had some prolapsed discs. He had been in agony for a long time but is much better(not pain free though) since changing his job to one with less lifting.

RS - I think its the sorbitol(sweetner) in the mints that acts as a laxative:D

Thanks for the tip about the rustic chips too:T
    Do what you love :happyhear

    morning everyone!

keis, hope the back clears up soon, that sounds terrible :(

WI for me today and, after a terrible week last week (living on crisps and chocolate, literally some days!) i'm very pleased to have stayed exactly the same. went out mountain biking saturday and sunday so hopefully that has burnt a lot of the rubbish off.

now i'm just sat at work hoping that they'll send us all home so i can go out and play in the snow!

    have a good day everyone

    BS x
  • hello to all on this very snowy day!

Happy to report a loss on the waist and thigh measurements this week! :D
I have a big night out on the 20th so I'm hoping that I'll have slimmed down a little more so that I can wear something nice without showing off too many lumps and bumps!

  • Time has kind of run away with me today. Met a friend for lunch today we are both MSer's. It is really nice to be able to talk to someone in the same boat as yourself. Though the gentleman in question is much worse off than me and he has a terminally ill wife to care for as well (cancer) so a double whammy for him. He is so bright and cheerful when really he hasn't got a whole heap to be cheerful for.

Plenty of snow here but not as bad as the London region appears to have got it. I am from Robin Hood country :D Still continues to snow on off all day and the skies still appear full of it.

PurpleSkies great idea to do bodily measurements as well as not all our victories are within the scale department. I found often if the scales weren't budging an ounce then my body was changing shape. It couldn't seem to do both at once

newlywed great exercise you have clocked in today with 5 miles under your belt though I do hope for your sake that the buses are running later today. Doing 10 miles in a day is a bit much especially if you are not use to it which most of us aren't.

I will post tomorrow fayre as I won't be able to come on till much later due to oxygen treatment.

BREAKFAST porridge ( made with milk and sweetener can't stomach water made one)
LUNCH oat muffin and weight watcher fromage frais
DINNER lamb with a selection of steamed seasonal vegetables.

SNACKS fruit, nuts and yoghurt or cuppa soup

    :hello: purpleorc :hello:
  • Lots of snow here in the south pennines. :j :j :j

Thought about getting the car out this morning but work is only 1 mile away and it was still snowing so I decided on some exercise. Came home for lunch too so 4 miles for me and I think I deserved the sliver of chocolate cake that someone brought in and put in the staff room!

Impressed at Newlywed and newlywed spouse walking all that way. I hope the boss appreciated it.

Not sure what I was last week WI but definite loss of either 1 or 2 lb.:T

    Today:
    Breakfast: branflakes and milk, juice
lunch: HM carrot coriander soup bread 2
tea: HM veg stew, sausage (NOT quorn!), bread 1
Snacks: sliver of choc cake, banana, apple

Cost £1.32, leaving £6.83 for the week.

  • Hello again
I'm early this morning as I couldn't sleep very well. Feeling all out of sorts. Yesterday was very bad there were cakes at work (I had 3) had a quorn "chicken" sandwich for lunch at 3 when I got home, the teens had beans and sausages during the day and later on I couldn't be xxx to move and make diner. I snacked on cashews and left em to it. DD made quorn and noodles at about 10 o'clock:eek: for herself and DS.

Today I shall put some carrot and lentil soup in the slow cooker so there will be something warm and healthy ready when I get home. No further snow falls in the night but what was left from yesterday has frozen hard. I can hear the cars going slowly past the house and it sounds like they're on gravel. DS school is shut again, not sure about DD college, she will have to check the web later this morn. I shall leave for work at 9.30 and hopefully the roads will be easier then.

I did weigh myself yesterday and can report sts. I'm feeling much fatter now so must get back on track as any gains are being ruined with my slothful ways, clothes are getting tighter and stomach feels twice the size it has been.
