Quick finish to the week/month. I went over my budget by 25.5p this week but not surprising given all the comings and goings re visitors coming/visitors not coming!
So £15 for next week, minus milk, coffee and fruit allowance (as well as the portion of salmon I got) leaves me £8.15 for everything else. Definitely a challenge! And there is snow on the ground. BrrrrrPopsy0 -

I find it hard to manage to feed me and 2 DDs and the dog on alot more than you are doing! Mind you, I am a terrible impulse buyer when I am in the supermarket.Jane

I am going to try and go back to 'old school/style' 100% so nothing processed at all and lots and lots of fresh fruit and veg to try and sort out my bloackages......too much info there but you get my meaning heh heh
B: Porridge made with water

S: Fruit and lots of water
Have a good week all, hope you're not too cold0 -
Good morning all. I was up till 3.30 this morning watching the Superbowl with friends. We ate only league sanctioned snack food and drank only league sanctioned beverages (crisps, brownies, cider). After a weekend of what can only be described as culinary abandon Im not going to complain at having gained 3.6lbs. To be honest Im relieved its not more. This week is back to the hard graft though in my new jeans. No meal plan yet as 4 hours sleep has left me with barely enough brain cells to breath. Thinking could only be described as a hobby at this stage of the day. I will report back later with a meal plan when there is a responsible adult nearby to monitor me.0

isparticus - glad you enjoyed the americam footie, hope the head recovers soon;)
floyd - hope you soon feel better , get lots of fibre down you and also lots of water too. Other good things for 'blockages' are dried apricots, prunes, anything wholegrain, also try some peppermint tea or capsules.Do what you love :happyhear0 -
Good morning everyone! We are snowed in - how exciting is that:beer:. I feel all snug and happy, both of my girls are home as the buses have been cancelled and there is no way their cars would get through our little side roads. I am busy planning filling and hearty meals to serve today to keep us all warm in the cold. Won't be able to go to club today so guess I will call this week a STS!
The neighbourhood kids are all out on the front green having snowball fights and making snowmen. I would love to go out and play with them but guess I am getting a little too old and arthritic for that sort of thing:rotfl::o
We took Charlie out for his toilet walk this morning and it took four of us about 15 minutes to chip all the snow off his fur. I don't know if its because he is such a curly little thing but each curl had its own little frozen snowball, he looked like the Michelen Man when he came in. At the end I just grabbed a hair drier and defrosted him!:rotfl::T:cool:
Menu for today:
Breakfast - oats so simple and frozen blueberries (heb, hea, free)
Lunch - salmon fillets with leftover rice from last night (free)
Dinner - Cottage pie with carrots, caulifour and brussels, hot rhubarb rice pudding for dessers (all free except 1 syn for the cooked rhubarb)
Thats my lot for now, wrap up warm everyone and if your are capable of it - get out in the snow and play for a while!!
Love

Hya folks
Sorry not to have posted earlier, I did check in on Friday and read all the posts, but didn't post.
This was silly really as I managed to lose 1 pound!:j
So that is 3 pounds lost during January, which I suppose isn't bad considering I am unable to move much at all with this b****y bad back!
I felt much better on Sunday but suffered from cabin fever, so I asked my DH to take me to the garden centre where I used to work. It isn't very big, but much better plant-wise that any other centre I know (I'm not biased, honest!). I was walking for less than half an hour and I was in absolute agony. We stopped in the cafe for a hot chocolate (no cream!), before I went back to the car while my DH finished the shopping...now I feel really bad, aching all over.
I thought I was getting a bit better..but no...AAAARGH! I wish they would hurry up with the MRI scan, I am getting very fed up of the pain and being unable to do things. Sorry about the moan....just getting cross with myself.
Anyway it is snowing lightly at the moment, we only have a little bit of snow, enough to make things white though....how are things with those of you in the East and North?
Here's to the food for today, don't really feel like much at the moment...havn't planned for this week yet, but will try later on today.
B: Porridge with raisins...yummy!
S: BananaTuna sandwich
S: Fruit
T: Baked pot with baked beans (or tuna if I have something different for lunch)
S: SF jelly with fruit
Got to go and lie down, feeling very fuzzy...that's the drugs kicking in!
Bye for now
