Happy birthday Isparticus and Mrs Isparticus (shesparticus?)
Have a great day, will steer clear of the 'pool tonightWeight loss to date - 8st 13lbs :j0 -
HAPPY BIRTHDAY MR & MRS ISPARTACUS! Hope you both have a wonderful evening and that you win lots of money at the Casino. I didn't know that you were a fellow scouser - there's a few of us on here - me and Floyd are and so is Cranky40.
I have been to the weight management clinic this morning and they weighed me exactly the same as at Slimming World do a STS for me this week. They were really nice at the WMclinic but they said that I would be better doing three meals and three snacks a day of basic foodstuffs (i.e. no junk or cakes etc) rather than doing SW or counting calories because they think it will help me to regain control of my eating better. It makes sense and certainly alot of the people on here both now and in the past (like Mrs M) have lost lots of weight just by OS cooking and sensible portion control. It' hard to let go though because I like to think I am following a particular diet (not that I ever stick to them) so I will try and do that this week but I will still weigh in at SW as DD1 wants me to go with her.
Food yesterday was a disaster so onwards and downwards from today I hope!
Food today:
Breakfast: small amount of scrambled egg (made with low fat spread) and a small slice of bread (dry)
Snack: Quaker oat cereal bar
Lunch: cup of vegetable soup and a dry barm with chicken, cranberry, lettuce and low fat mayo
Snack: sugar free jelly with blueberries in it
Dinner: small Sainsburys BGTY lamb steak with broccoli with hm tomato and cheese sauce (easy just half a jar of pasata and a made up packet of colman's cheese sauce made with skimmed milk) topped with a little grated parmesan mixed with fresh made breadcrumbs, about a third of a packet of gnocchi, followed by a mini merringue nest.
Snack Sugar free jelly with blueberries and packet of Special K mini breaks - the lemon ones are lovely!
Hope you are all having a good day.Jane

Afternoon All!!
Cripes, I haven't been on the internet for 2 days and this thread has run away from me!
First of all.. Happy Birthday Mr and Mrs Isparticus!! Hope you have a fantastic night! I used to live in Liverpool and the Casino is awesome fun if not dangerous!!
Well done to all you big losers and little losers!! It's all one step closer to skinny dom!!
So... I can report a weight loss of 2lbs this week! Hazzah!
I'm off to London for the w/end to see pals so out tonight and tomorrow night which could be bad for weight loss but I'm going on a 10 mile walk on Sunday so that should help! I'm doing the full moon walk this year (did the half last year) so I'm trying to do a long walk once a month plus my usual Wii Fit and twice weekly run. I've stuck well to the exercise this week. Maybe that comment at work was what I needed!
Todays plan is:
B - was asleep! Day off work!!
L - omlette (except it was more scrambled eggs! I can't make omlettes very well! WW crisps.
D - HM 'hobnobs'. HM salmon, butter beans and leek crumble (recipe below!)
The hot hot yummy fit plumber came round yesterday and I was in my dressing gown covered in hobnob goop from baking!! mmmmm saucy!
So recipe:
2 Leeks chopped and in a saucepan with seasoning and fry light. Add 3 tbs of veg stock and cook for 4 mins. Add a tin of butter beans, 1 cooked or smoked salmon fillet and 150 ml ish of stock. Put all this in a dish and cover in (3 slices of) bread crumbs and 1/2 tsp of parmesan. Bake until crisp on top (15mins ish). 3 WW points each. Serves 3.
See you all Sunday night/Monday! Have a good weekend!! xHouse saving Targets:

Happy Birthday (bit late sorry) to ispartacus and Mrs spartacus:beer: I hope you win lots of cash tonight:T
Floyd - hope you feel better x
yesterday didn't go well:rolleyes: they had sold out of jacket spuds at the pub:mad: and the rest of the menu was very limited so I settled for a tuna and sweetcorn baguette, salad, chips and coleslaw:eek: white bread too as they had no brown but I was starving. I ate 2 thirds of the bread and all the rest of it but felt so sluggish all afternoon and evening - I'm putting it down to the white bread as I never eat it. Goodness knows the syn value:rolleyes:
anyway today has been better.
b - weetabix banana raisins
L - lemon and coriander cous cous salad and salmon
S - clementine and yoghurt
D - SW chips and an egg
snacks - sugar free jelly probably.
Hope you all have a great weekend. Well done on the loss spugz :TDo what you love :happyhear0 -
Evening all!
Reporting another 1lb loss :j . It's definately going to get harder from now on - last couple of pounds to go back to goal!
RS - are you eating enough? I'm very similar to Taplady, have to eat every couple of hours otherwise i get v tetchy, but it's all healthy, I swear if you cut me in half I'd be orange from all the carrots I eat! (v nice with hm salsa or homous)
Good luck folks, hope you all keep toasty warm in the next few days - we may even get snow in Dorset - I won't hold my breath!:cool:0 -
lainz - well done on your loss! :T and good luck in getting those last few pounds off!Do what you love :happyhear0
-
:T Well done to Spugz and Ianz on the losses. Taplady - I know what you mean about white bread making you feel sluggish. I had a white baguette the other day and it really played havoc with my guts and I felt really tired!
Floyd - hope you are feeling better.
I had a good day eating wise and amended my earlier post to add in my dinner tonight which was lovely. I made my usual amounts and because I was careful with the portions I have enough left over for two full sized portions for tomorrow night or whenever.
I also sent for a cardigan off of QVC and it came today and it is miles too big for me! I got a 3XL and it really is huge, but I am going to keep it because I like things baggy as it hides a multitude of sins. It's really nice - cream with little pink and red appliques on it - Dd2 said it looked a bit grannyish but I think it is really trendy looking (how sad am I?)
hope you have all had a good day!Jane

Daily eating plan Good morning everyone, rather pleased to announce I had a :grouphug:in bed last night:rotfl:. I got up to use the loo and was half asleep (thats my excuse and I am sticking to it!), and when I went back to bed and laid down I felt warm breath on the back of my neck. Sounds good so far right? Mmm thinks I, turning around for a cuddle and came face to face with Charlie who was in the middle of the bed with his head on my pillow! Didn't have the heart to kick him out so we settled down and when I woke up this morning he was still there but my DH had his arm around him!:D
Anyway here is my eating plan for today -
Breakfast - eggs, bacon and hash browns, baked beans (free, free, 3syns, free)
Lunch - Homemade veg soup with crusty roll - (free, heb)
Dinner - braised pork steaks in a spicy chilli sauce with gnocchi (3 syns)
Snacks - fruit and yougurt with milk in coffee being HEA
Have a good one
Love
Marion
