  • Go for it - let us know how it turns out!:D To be honest I always cook my soup in the pressure cooker - 10 minutes and I'm done! I don't have a slow cooker:o, I'm at home all day anyway so don't see the point, when I was working I didn't feel comfortable leaving something plugged in and cooking while I was out of the house all day - a little old fashioned I know!

  • Thanks for all the suggestions about dealing with the evening munchies!

I like the suggestions about being crafty. Although I'd quite like to find something that I can do for free! Also I'm terrible at knitting!! I get all tense at the shoulders because I'm concentrating too hard. Although I guess that would definitely keep my mind off food!

May have to investigate some cheap arts & crafts projects! :)

  • Well the soups been in the SC for a while now. I went out and bought a cheap £4 blender from Tesco. I may have over blended it as it looks a lot like a crockpot full of vomit. Tastes quite nice though.

The taste test for proper is tonight though. Remember, if you havent heard from my by 10 tomorrow call an ambulance.

I'll wait to hear from you before cooking this then ;) I wouldn't have whizzed it all - I make leek and tatty soup a bit like that (but with stock and no bacon) and only whizz a bit of it up as I like some lumps.

I don't make many lentil/carrot soups anymore coz they all looked like barf :o
