Morning Peeps,
Not much news here just posting so you all know I'm still alive and the cat hasn't got me
Doing very badly eating wise. I was fine and had lost stones and stones but RS was doing really badly and she fell off the wagon and I didn't want her to feel alone so I jumped off too. Gosh what a nice Frog I am
Going to watch the Eamon Holmes prog on the telly tonight and hope I'm enspired
Well done all the loosers, keep your chin up all the gainers, and remember how ever carp you feel, you're not as carp as RS and meSay it once, say it loud ~ I'm an Atheist, Anti-Royalist, Socialist, Tea-Total Veggie Frog and PROUD!:D

Hiya and welcome vixtress! I had a better night's sleep last night, which I am sure is not unconnected to the fact that I ate much better yesterday.
This morning I have had hm cinnamon toast which was lovely! I just mixed some low fat spread with splenda and cinnamon and spread it on two slices of hot wholemeal toast and it was really really nice. I read about cinnamon being really good for blood sugar control and also as a mood lifter so I thought I would give it a try. I am not a diabetic yet but my blood sugar control is not great and I know that if I don't get some weight off then I probably will end up with type II diabetes:o
Food for today is still uncertain. I bought a shoulder of pork yesterday after seeing Jamie Oliver cooking it the other night but now I am having second thoughts as the crackling is so fattening and that is the best bit! I have a chicken in the oven which I hope to use for several different meals over the next few days - curry, stracciatella soup, rice salad, chicken and spinach pasta bake.
Marion - Charlie is really cute!
Taplady - I am on facebook too and DD1 thinks it is "shameful" - but I don't care! If you pm me your e-mail then I will add you!
DD2 has a busy day today - drama, tennis and then maths tutor so I have my day planned out running her around!
Hope you all have a good day!Jane

Good Morning
retiredlady : ~ That brought a smile to my face this morning the tale of CharlieNow our dog (Riz) he is just as bad I have to be careful after getting up in the night for a call of nature as he will have laid where I was sleeping. So as I retire back into bed if I am not mindful I have sat on him
Scales do not read so good today though half expected as I have had to eat out on several occasions this week due to circumstances. I tried to pick the healthiest option but not always a great choice. I try to eat a small amount to counteract the food not being as healthy as I would like. So scale is up 2lb this week. My tummy is also feeling the effects of the more junky food it has been given so needs a few days to settle down again.
Todays menu
Breakfast:~ cereal and flaxseed
Dinner:~ homemade burger on wholemeal roll then stewed fruit
tea:~homemade turkey and vegetable soup
snacks:~ yoghurt, fruit, or nuts
Have a lovely weekend one and all. Take care

Hello
Funny old week. No walking done except Tuesday. No swimming. 2 hour yoga class Monday. Not sure what to do with myself today.
Went for meal last night at a chinese buffet style place but being veggie wasn't too many choices, had noodles and various veg, garlicky green beans, pak choi, mushrooms. Then had banana and apple fritter, followed by melon apple and pineapple and lastly a small piece of choco fudge cake. So today must be very very good. Have some salad to use up. No bfast as oly just got up, but have had 3 cups of coffee and a handful of cashews. Found a jacket spud in the freezer so will put that in the micro. DD has been very sick, unable to keep anything down and is now crying about the course work that has to be in on Monday. Keeping out of her way at the minute as I can't do anything to help (it's french A level.)WL 11 st 5lb as at 050109. 160209 11st 2lb
11st 5lb as at 20.04.09 11st 7lbs 040509 11st6 010609 I wish 2016 175 lbs.

Hi to Vixtress. Good luck with the allotment. They are hard work but all that digging will burn off loads of calories and it is so great digging up and eating your own produce.
Good news and bad news. First the good. My BMI dropped considerable yesterday when we had a heated discussion about height yesterday and, to cut a long story short, I discovered I am an inch taller than I thought!:j
Secondly I feel a lot less inadequate about my puny pound-or-two-a-week weight loss now I know that ispartacus is a bloke!:rotfl:
Now the bad news. Yesterday's fajitas blew the budget somewhat as I had to get chicken from the village and it was not as cheap as the market! but at least the bag of salad was on special offer.
Bfast:branflakes + milk
lunch:leek potato soup bread 1
tea: chicken fahitas, yoghurt
snack: fruit from allowance
total cost = £3.31 leaving £2.16 for today and tomorrow. So a frugal day today. Need to get the lentils out.....Popsy0 -
Ah Popsytops- if only i could grow a few inches overnight too- alas I dream about it every night, but it never happens
Heres a frugal dinner for you- Chickpea curry- Fry 1 onion, a bit of garlic and one chopped up apple and a couple teaspoons of curry powder, add 1 tin choped toms cook for 5 minutes, then add 1 can of chick peas and a handful of raisins- cook for 10 minutes and there you have it!
Thats what I had for dinner yesterday and it was quite nice.July Win: Nokia 58000 -
Funnily enough I've got chick peas soaking right now:D
re the extra inch, I always used to be 5'4 but I felt I was shrinking as I got older and assumed I was now 5'3.
Just been shopping for next weeks stuff. Veg still remarkably cheap at Sainsbury's (of all places) and I got a small portion of smoked salmon for 88p which will form one of my fish portions (no one likes it but me!). I confess to a an extravagance of okra at 1.39 for 2 portion size pack - got a weakness for sweet and sour okra.
Thought I'd try and reduce my budget allowance to £15.00 this week. Might be a bit hard as apples cost me more than last week. Never mind. Lots of pulses and less chicken! And I've found some cans of water chestnuts at the back of the cupboard that have been there for ever - great as a stir fry with mange tout which I just got on special offer. Ooohh hungry now.

Firstly thank you to everyone for your kind birthday messages. Shespartacus is also very grateful.
FAO RS, Floyd and Cranky 40, we are plastic scoucers, and we invaded your city to take your casinos money haha. It was a Circus Casino is Queens Sq, used to be called Bar Med I believe, right next to the Rat and Parrot at the bottom end of the bus station.
We got in there for a meal at about 8. 3 course meal for £13 each. Beautiful food. After that we were at the tables for 5 hours!! At one point we were up £75. But by the end of the night we had each lost £25. So £5 per hour we were in there. It was a fantastic night and we really enjoyed it. I would definately give it a try if you like casinos and are local to the area.
Next on this rare weekend update. I was bought a pair of jeans by my mum as a thank you for some carpentry work in her kitchen. I know, here logic doesnt make sense, but hey Im not complaining. Anyway, they are 4 inches smaller than my current stock of jeans. 60" down to 56". Im really happy with this. Then today I went out to get a jumper as all I had was sweatshirts. I ended up buying a 4xl instead of my usual 6xl tops. So I have dropped 2 sizes on my top half aswell as my bottom half. This is the first time I have really been lade aware of what I have lost so far. So, as you can guess Im having a damn good weekend so far.
Now all I need is for neither team to win the Superbowl and I will be the happiest bunny on earth. Unfortunately one till will have to win so Im going with Arizona (incase anyone is interested).
Have a good weekend all.0
