Evening all,
Been such a busy bunny the past few days that I've only managed to read the posts and not write anything. Marionyour Charlie, ah!! I once had two of mine on the bed, and literally couldn't moved, I was pinned to the spot :rotfl: .
A big congrats to all losers, belated happy birthday to Mr & Mrs Isparticus and glad to hear you had such a good night and fantastic news about the drop in clothes size. Mr Suzid has been very good the past week and is hoping the scales will smile on him tomorrow. It's the first time I can remember him being really serious about losing weight, and even taped Gok Wan about his weight issues. Fingers crossed.
Pleased to report that dispite an awfull start to the month, I was a good girl for the last two weeks andpslope back to hugeness again. So another 8 to go and I'll be back to last years lowest. At least I'm so wrapped up, like an onion, that the extra pounds don't show. Please, please, let us have a summer this year.
I've been busy moving furnature around in our home office today and swaping my small desk for the bigger, only used to dump things on, one. However judging by all the sneezing coming from behind me, DS4 is suffering from the effects of all the flying dust. Poor lad and I was trying so hard with damp dusting and hoovering. Now I feel quite guilty, but it needed doing. DH now has a pile of junk to go through. The rubbish we keep. A draw full of old floppy disks containing old operating systems from when Adam was a lad. :rotfl:
Have a good evening folks. I'm off to munch my way through a Lasagna and salad, yum. Suz"It came to me that every time I lose a dog they take a piece of my heart with them. And every new dog who comes into my life, gifts me with a piece of their heart. evening all!
isparticus - brilliant news about needing smaller clothes:T Taplord is also pleased at going down 1 jean size too so he bought some new jeans this weekend.
I have a confession to make - we bought tea from M & S:eek:veggie moussaka and savoury vegetable rice - god it was gorgeous:drool: we also bought some chocolate puddings which are now sitting in the fridge - they are hugely calorific so I will have a battle with myself as to whether to have one;) we used up a gift card so it didn't cost anything really:j
Do what you love :happyhear0 -
Mr and Mrs ispartacus - glad you enjoyed the night. How are you losing weight? Are you following any particular diet or just cutting down generally?
ethansmum - I love curry made with apples and raisins! I will definitely make the chick pea curry it sounds yummy!
Tonight for tea I had made the shoulder of pork which Jamie Oliver made on his programme on Channel 4 in the week. I put all the veg under the meat like he did and rubbed the meat with olive oil salt and pepper and cooked it for the same time and at the same heat. I made the gravy the same way he did and everything. It smelled divine and we were really looking forward to our meal, but I have to say it was rank! The gravy tasted like greasy hot water and the pork was horrible - all stringy and fatty - It makes me shudder to think about it. I only at a few mouthfuls and couldn't eat the veg or potatoes as I had put gravy on them. DD2 couldn't eat hers either and it all ended up in the bin. I cut up some of the leftover meat and gave it to our dog and then threw out the rest. I have been toying with the idea of being a vegetarian for while now and think that this meat may have just pushed me further in that direction. I think I feel healthier when I don't eat meat too.
Anyway hope you are all having a nice weekend!
Taplady - nice to see you on facebook - I am too embarassed to put my photo on but I might pluck up the courage in the next few weeks if I get a bit of weight off!
I watched that programme feelgood factor tonight and Frogga and I are going to do the 8 week challenge!Jane

Good morning all, the wind is blowing outside but no signs of snow yet! I made a big pot of soup yesterday that started out to be vegetable but ended up as scoth broth - very nice it was too! I have frozen several portions to have as cup of soups to keep me warm in this cold weather that is coming:cool:
Today I am having:
Breakfast - SW style pancakes with blueberries (free)
Lunch - Roast chicken, carrots, cabbage, mashed potato (free)
Dinner - Rice baked with left over chicken, ham and vegetables with fruit and yogurt for dessert.
Weigh in for me tomorrow morning and once again don't feel like I have lost anything - and my admittedly dodgy scales don't show a loss either:(
Keep warm everyone and if you have elderly neighbours living on their own why not check and see if they are ok too?
Love
MarionWhen life hands you lemons, ask for tequilla and salt and give me a call!!!0 -
morning all!
back on track after yesterday!:D
RS - I gave up meat about 16 months ago and apart from the odd occasion havent missed it at all - I still eat fish about twice a week. Its only when you go out that it becomes hard as every veggie option is usually loaded with cheese and cream:rolleyes: so I usually have fish then. Nice to see you too on FB last night!(dont worry I'm still learning too;) )
Retired_lady - good luck with tomorrows weigh in Marion.
food today
B - soaked muesli with extra seeds and raisins.
L - left over lemon and coriander cous cous with salad and tinned mackerel in tomato sauce.
D - HM sheperdless pie(lentil cottage pie) with a few veggies.
snacks - banana clementine and yoghurts.
I need to try and rescue this week due to a couple of iffy days.
Hope you all enjoy your Sunday xDo what you love :happyhear0 -

Im not following a diet, as I dont really believe that they work. You get to you target, stop the diet and go back up again, or thats been my past experience anyway.
I dont know really, I just seem to have changed the way I eat rather than anything. I never used to snack so ate lots at meal times where as now I simply cant eat as much. Example: we were shopping with the kids yesterday and took them to the foodcourt. I bought a footlong Subway as I always have, but turkey instead of cheese-steak. But for the first time I couldnt finish it. I didnt want to, where as in the past it wouldnt have been a problem. I suppose a bit of the Paul McKenna thing rubbed off, though I draw the line at hitting myself in the head if I want something to eat. I no longer feel compelled to finish whatever is in front of me. I was starting to throw food away as I got used to my new smaller appetite, but now I can better judge smaller portions so thats helping.
I also got a buzz yesterday in the clothes store. I so used to having to shop at the only store with clothes to fit me (I still do at the moment) and having to buy the biggest size he had available. But yesterday with the jumper I asked what size it went to and he said '7xl, but your only going to need a 4xl'. I honestly looked at him as if to say 'stop taking the !!!!' but got a bit of a rush when I put on the 4xl and it fitted. Silly things like that are inspiring me.
And can I ask, is there a bit of a Facebook community here aswell?0 -
Morning Peeps,
It's snowing here! :T The Tadpoles are really excited that they might get a day off school tomorrow :j It's great but not when the pond freezes over ~ then it's no joke
As RS said last night we are doing the Eamonn Holmes challenge. I weighed this morning and have now gone up to 18st 10lb  Haven't been as much as that for ages!! Only two weeks ago I was 17st 12lb so it's quite rapidly. I will not weigh again for 8 weeks. I'm hoping for 16st 7lb so fingers crossed.
Hope the rest of you are keeping well. Good luck to us all xSay it once, say it loud ~ I'm an Atheist, Anti-Royalist, Socialist, Tea-Total Veggie Frog and PROUD!:D

Good morning
My tummy still is playing up and I have painI was diagnosed with a stomach ulcer a little while back. So this means a strict diet of non spicy food and very little pastry or fried food either. Unfortunately I have had some greasier type food twice this week and now I am paying for it.
So it back on the waggon of eating properly as it will take my tummy some days to settle down ( serves me right  but you never learn ) So having plain food now to allow for it to calm right down.
Planned todays food
Breakfast :- flaxseed and cereal
dinner :- beans on toast then stewed fruit
tea :- homemade turkey and vegetable soup
snacks :- yoghurt, fruit, nuts
If I get my act in gear a little later I might make a yoghurt jelly. Using sugar free jelly made up with 1/2 pint of boiling water wait until this is cold but still in liquid form. Then mix in 200mg of yoghurt either the same flavour as the jelly or just plain natural yoghurt. I go for fat free yoghurt so for a nice dessert which is guilty free and low in calories this is right. if you want more of a moose type texture to this then use an electric mixer and mix it on high power for at least 5 minutes. You need to do it for a length of time so that it puts lots of air bubbles in the mixture. Refrigerate after you have made them and allowing to set completely.

Crickey we are fast posters around here 3 people posted since I started my post guess I will have to learn to type faster
frogga You can keep your snow don't send it North bound. I can remember the same excitement as your children at the prospect of a extra day wangled off school.
Good luck with the Eamon Holmes challenge and hope you reach your mini goal you have set yourself.
ispartacus75 :- You have the same philosophy as me when it comes to "dieting". So we changed our portions and added in more fruit and vegetables. We still have treats along the way like you did with your birthday meal where we eat exactly what we want. That way I don't feel deprived of anything as nothing is off bounds as such.
It took me a while to get use to the fact it was OK to leave some food and I wasn't going to get struck down by lightingI had been brought up that you didn't waste anything and ate everything on your plate. So if like you I could not eat all the sandwich I would wrap the remaining and take it home for another time.
It is nice to see the clothing sizes go down it is another confirmation of your weight loss and how well your doing. I still have problems that I still see myself as 9 stone heavier and even though I see myself in the mirror choosing clothing I still feel I have picked something way to small off the rack. I am hoping that my own image of myself catches up sometime soon.
