Works dinner today so I was less than good :(

    B: Bagel with cream cheese

L: Chocolate fairy cake & 2 slices wholemeal toast

D: Serrano ham and warmed figs, roast turkey with glazed carrots, sprouts and 3 potatoes, chocolate and cherry torte

Tomorrow is another day, just getting bored with food at the moment and nothing seems to satisfy me.

Managing the 1 mile a day walking ok. Not doing well with the food though - too many christmas work do`s and it has been my birthday. Back on the straight and narrow from tomorrow though.
Make £2 a day challenge - doing well so far.

    morning everybody

floyd and vodkawitch - i think work dinners at this time of year are a fair excuse to relax a little bit, i'm going to eat all of mine and try not to feel too bad!
floyd, if you're feeling bored with what you're eating maybe you should see if you can find anything reduced/on offer at the shops that you haven't had before? i really easily slip into eating the same old thing again and again, but am lucky in that i share a flat, and we often cook for each other, so i eat am sometimes given stuff that i would never have thought to make myself. it's really difficult when you're trying to make a decent meal in as little time as possible though, isn't it?!!

as for me, i abandoned the gym last night as i'm really sore and had to work late. so i had my piece of bread during the day and instead had an omelette (of sorts) with tuna and cottage cheese. can't say it was an enormous success but it was edible and got my food groups in for the day so i suppose that's ok.

    today:
b - porridge w. skimmed milk and banana
    s - pear
l - tuna and mixed pulse salad w. tomato, celery and pepper
    s - apple, some almonds
t - can't remember what i planned at all! but will be followed by a piece of fruit!
edit to say: think it's going to be something light, with eggs! and meant to add - moneypooh, i'm sure you can write whatever you want in here! i find it useful to write down what i'm eating as it makes me aware of any little extras slipping in, and i like reading other people's ideas :D
  • Morning everyone! bigsmoke I couldn't agree more! I don't know why but by posting my menu plan on this site it helps me both stick to the plan and makes me ensure I am having a well balance eating day!

Dinner - Pasta bake with quorn mince mixed with HE mince in value pasta sauce with extra vegetables on the side (free+free+2syns+free)

    Hi all!

I'll be joining in here later in the week and onwards. I'm doing my own personal 'time of the month diet' then I'm out for a posh dinner tomorrow.

I'm trying to eat as healthily as I can for as little as possible. I've been doing OK so far. I'm going to measure rather than weigh myself. I'm more interested in lost inches.
Getting there... A deal at a time. :T

    Hi all,

I am doing Ok today even though there is far too much temptation around, Quality Street tin, Tree Chocs, HM choc cupcakes, McVites mint bars, free sandwiches for open day lunch....the list goes on.

Even so, I have managed to stick to plan and its probably because I am back on the porridge again :)

B: Porridge with skimmed milk and banana

    L: Lentil soup

D: Cauli dal with brown rice

    S: Banana

I am trying to keep busy so that I don't have time to think about food and it also really helps that OH is cooking so I can look forward to my tea.

I am trying to get in a stretch of good days as we are away off and on over the next few days in London and Germany so there will be lots of temptation at Christmas markets and food stalls but I will be strong :)

Thanks for the tip bigsmoke will give it a go

D - cooked meat, low fat cheese granary bread not butter,
Lots of cups of coffee and Tea, no milk or sugar.

and then I blow it by having 10 roses chocolates!

I really really suffered in work today seeing everyone shovelling in chocs and cakes and I sat there with my yoghurt and tangerines feeling very sorry for myself.
Just had stewed apple with custard and a spoon of double cream (all counted) and it was lovely but I am sure I would have enjoyed a handful of toffee pennys and purple hazelnut in choc alot more :)

Tomorrow we are having bacon sandwiches for on the train but done healthily, grilled back bacon with all the fat cut off, hot pepper sauce and no butter. Not so sure about later in the day though, it could all go wrong so easily as its TOTM and I'm craving bread :(
