hi everyone, and well done to the losers! it definitely seems to be getting harder as christmas comes nearer, but i have lost another 2lbs which i'm quite pleased with. i got a bit derailed with a heavy session in the pub on friday night and then an enormous roast at a friend's on saturday night (involving rum hot chocolates, made with real chocolate, at midnight, yummy!). however, i managed to not hit the take away on the way home on friday night, or go too mad on the hangover food saturday morning, so i'm getting a bit better!
    today:
b - porridge w. skimmed milk and sultanas
l - marinated tuna steak w. tomato and spinach salad
s - pear, piece of cheese, banana after the gym
t - HM root vegetable soup with a piece of toast and some scrambled eggs or something (got to get my protein portions up today somehow, trying to get back onto the portion diet that i started with my flatmate).

have a geat day everyone, looks like the sun is coming out here

    bs x

  • Another one popping back with an update, hi all:wave:

I hit my target back in October as some of you will know, then hit a very wobbly few weeks .... couldn't stop eating one minute then sheer determination not to ruin all my hard work would kick in, then I was back to the couldn't stop eating (this cold weather has got a lot to answer for, that's my excuse anyhow!:p ) then back to being good.Anyhow, finally braved the scales after weeks of avoiding them and I'm very relieved to be just 2.5lb up on my target weight:j .... was sure it would be more and I can live with that!!:D

Trying very hard to be good this week... I've got a Christmas lunch, work evening do and a meal out with friends to eat my way through next week!!

Well done the losers:T and best of luck to the strugglers, don't give up!!

wow, first person in this morning!

taplady, i'm really sorry to hear about your friend, must be a really hard time for you. big hug to you from my desk this morning :)

and congratulations on the loss retiredlady, i was very jealous when i read your menu for yesterday!

droopydrawers, what motivating news - i think we'll all be struggling with christmas dos over the next couple of weeks. i'm going to try to avoid the alcohol at mine, that's what sends me waaaaay off track

    today for me:
b - porridge w. skimmed milk and banana
l - steamed rainbow trout fillet w. spinach and tomato salad, probably w. some hummous on the salad
    s - orange
t - spicy lentil soup early before the gym
t2! - piece of toast w. peanut butter and some scrambled egg, late, after the gym

or, to be honest, i might just sack the gym off and have something else for tea! i'm bruised from last night and have woken up with a chesty cough, mysterious. will see how i feel later

have a great day everyone bs x

I don't put my menu listings on here, is that OK? I always see others and usually feel hungry after :rotfl: however I'm never sure what I'm having and even if I do plan it quite often gets changed :o
I realise that planning is one of my major problems, but at least I do always cook from scratch so don't have a last minute 'takeaway panic'.

Still not sleeping well as I tend to wake when I roll over and my neck twinges (bummer!!).
Resisted all snacks yesterday - especially the evil crisps

Horrendously busy at work for the next two weeks so that'll keep the munchies at bay.

    catch you all later x

Well, I did have the depression munchies yesterday afternoon. I had to go to Lidl to try and get a chocolate santa for the top of my parents' Christmas hamper, as I had given ds the one I got for a secret santa gift for drama group. THey didn't have the santas any more, but got a large chocolate bell instead, wrapped in gold foil, so looks fine. But of course I spent some time browsing the christmas aisle and found some of those mixed fruit and nut in chocolate. Had those. Boy! Am I feeling sorry for myself at the moment!

Still, another day. Porridge planned for breakfast and then the last helping of the hm tomato soup for lunch. THe mystery item defrosted overnight seems to be bol, but will make into a lasagne, as we haven't had it for a while and it's ds's fave.
