    Hi all,

Managed to stick to plan yesterday as OH had cooked a really small pasta dish for tea so I had a tuna sandwich later on that stopped me snacking and kept me on track. Off to Ikea tonight, no idea what the best option is, I do know that their fish and chips is lovely but definately off limits today while I am so sketchy.

B: Thin slice of bara brith

    L: Lentil soup

D: Maybe a prawn sandwich or salad to play it safe

S: Might have a small skinny latte later

    Have a good day all

    Hi Everyone!

I've been feeling so dosheartened :( I've been so good all week on about 1000 calories and doing 40 mins of exercise dvd most days. They yesterday I I fell off the wagon and had about an extra 600 calories. So this morning was weigh in and I've not lost anything. Woe is me :( Then last night we were invited to a wedding in April and that made me depressed thinking that I have no nice clothes and I'll be the fatty everyone notices :(:(

    Anyway I'm having today:

    B- oats so easy
L- a couple of crisp breads with marmite
D- ?Jacket potato with tuna perhaps?

Sorry for complaining, but I know you lot will keep me away from the chocolate to console myself.

  • Hello and Good Morning

I hope you don't mind me joining this thread on weight loss. I began to "diet" some 22 months ago not following any particular weight loss programme but eating healthy with portion control. To date I have lost 9 stone but a couple of weeks ago I purchased new bathroom scales and they make me 4lb heavier than my old scales typical never lighter are you ? :rotfl:

I have approximately another stone to lose to have an healthy BMI for the first time in my adult life. I hoping this thread will help keep me on the straight and narrow plus give me the final push to get to my goal weight. I do try to do a little exercise every day providing my body will permit or I have enough energy. This is because I was diagnosed with MS in 1999.

Very shortly I am going to London with my husband on a delivery ( he helps his brother out occasionally) and I have prepared food to take with us. For two reasons I take our own food the cost of service station food  and the lack of healthy food.

Thanks for listening to me rabbit on but I do tend to waffle :o

Don't beat yourself up Ethansmum! April is a longtime away! A healthy weight lossi s around 2lb a week so by april you can lose over a stone!! That's alot of lumpy bits!

It sounds to me like you aren't eating enough. 1000cals a day is very little. You should really be eating say around 1500 a day depending on your height, especially with all that excercise. That may be why you didn't lose. It really is true that if you eat too little your body goes into starvation mode and just stock piles all the food you put in your body and turns it into fat! A bit like OSers and the store cupboard! Up your cals but with healthy things like yoghurt and fruit and I'm sure you'll see a difference in 2 weeks!:j

Sorry that you are having a bad time at the moment ethansmum!:grouphug: Please don't take this thre wrong way, but have you considered that perhaps you are not eating enough? If the body is not receiving the proper amount of nutrients and calories it needs it will go into "starvation mode" and will hang on to everything it gets. After a while on 1000 cals if you go up to even 1400 you will gain weight because your body has adjusted to such a low intake.
Don't mean to sound like an interfering Aunt but just felt I should say what I feel:o. I am of course speaking from someone who has a large appetite and could not even envision life on 1000 cals a day:rotfl::rotfl:
