    Yo peeps :hello:
Another day in sunny wales and two dogs walked, one to go, and two loads of washing out on the line. Heavens I feel so much better when the sun shines, far more positive.

Breakie as usual, can’t be bothered thinking so early in the morning Marion. I sometimes wish I was on sawdust ball like the dogs. Just measure out the correct amount to maintain optimum weight and that’s it. Hope you got the laptop, by the way. Can’t wait for mine to arrive on Thursday.
    - Suz

Hi Suz, I also love it when the sun shines, it sets the whole day on a more positive note some how! I didn't get the laptop in the end, my nearest Aldi had sold out and they did phone the other one for me and they were all out as well. Should not have dithered for so long thinking about it and gone when they first went on offer!:o

Oh well, not to worry, they will come on again. Shopping at Aldi is a bit like waiting for a bus, if you miss it first time around another one will come along a little later:D

    Love
    Marion

  • Hello everyone - well done to spartacus, shellbell, procrastinator and spugz:T - and any other losers who I have forgotten!

I had a bad day yesterday again and like floyd I was too full and slept badly and feel rubbish today! I was okay until DD2 came home from being out with her Dad starving and I gave in and ordered Dominos. I had three slices of texas barbecue pizza , half a portion of chicken dippers and two waffle things which were really stodgy, and a glass of full sugar fanta.

This morning I have decided that I am not getting on with SW at all at the moment, so I have decided to just try and count calories for a while. I watched that programme "Supersize vs Superskinny" last week and the big woman was about a stone or so heavier than me and I could really relate to her (except with the toy boy boyfriend:confused: ). They told her to eat 2300 calories a day, which she did, and she lost 3 and half stone in 3 months! With this in mind I have spent some time this morning looking for calorie counting sites and was delighted to find the Bootsdiet.com one. It is only £13 for three months subscription (as opposed to £54 fees if I keep going to SW) and you basically just enter what you eat and it tells you how many calories are in it! You put in your age, height and all that gubbins but the food diary is really brilliant - the best I've seen. You can look up almost every food and if it isn't listed you just put in the barcode numbers and it finds it! It also tells you how many calories you need per day and as you enter the food it works out how many of your 5 a day you have had and how much fat, carb etc too. I am going to try it out for a few days because if you don't get on with it you can get your money back if you cancel within 7 days. So all in all very MSE!

Hope you are all having a good day. Frogga is fine, just really busy with work and family - I'm sure she'll be along sometime this week!

Good luck with the counting calories, that Boots site sounds fab. I think you are being very positive too, at least you are not giving up, just keep trying until you find the one that works for you.:T:T:beer:

No fish, no pasta, minimal pulses, no spinach or fried onions. No stew. No beef. two not keen on pork. Sigh. Ideas welcome. Oh, and I work til six most nights so not a huge time for cooking! Usually I do big salads with lots of options and let people just help themselves but I don't want to buy salad now as it is out of season and so not "moneysaving".

I did turkey and pepper stirfry the other night and served it in wraps like fajitas but you could serve it with rice?

Just cut strips of turkey, stirfry, add sliced peppers, sliced red onion (or leave that one out), and any other veg you want (couldn't be bothered to finely slice carrots so added sweetcorn and peas). Then add sauce (I did blackbean as it was half price in Sainsbug but you can just do some soy sauce and honey).
working on clearing the clutterDo I want the stuff or the space?

RS, if you (or anyone else) wants a similar site for free, try foodfocus. I've used it plenty of times and never found any foods that weren't in the database. It too works out fat, protein, carbs, calories etc, but I don't think it does five a day. anywho, basically it's very good and completely free :)

    Hi all,

Yesterday went a bit sketchy after I was talked into going out at lunchtime for coffee before I had eaten and I got so hungry I bought a panini then felt ill and bought a Lion bar ;)
    Anyway, line firmly drawn

B: Porridge or toast, not sure which as I don't really feel like eating at all

L: Lentil soup, the one I was supposed to eat yesterday!

D: Pasta pesto, nice for a change and it fills me up and feels stodgy :)

Hope you are all holding it together, the cold weather really seems to sabotage any efforts I make and I end up hunting out stodge and fatty foods
