Not a bad day. I envy those who can eat slowly. I don't do anything slowly. I just can't.
I feel exactly like this popsytops, I have tried to eat my meals slower, and to chew chew chew every mouthful for ages...but I cant, my next forkful is ready before I've even had chance to taste whats in my mouth!! I really think that is part of my problem, as they say eating slower means your body can tell you when your full, and I need to really start trying to eat slow!
Thing is, I love eating things when they're really hot, I even drink really hot tea, so I try and eat it quicker so it doesn't go cold! Maybe I should eat more cold things?
My day today (Friday) has been very good!
    Breakfast: Ready Brek
Dinner: Pitta with tuna, mayo, spring onions
Snack: Sugar snap peas and red pepper
    Tea: Curry with rice (HM)
    Supper: 2 crumpets
I allowed myself two crumpets, as I did 30minutes on exercise bike, and 40 minutes of yoga :j

Good luck with the weekend all!
I'm being cooked a 3-course-meal tonight (sat), but OH knows I'm watching what I eat, so I'm sure he's taking this into consideration! Lovely treat for me, he won't tell me what he's got planned.

  • Good morning:D

Sun's out here so I'm wrapping up and off for a walk later.

Had a much better week, Monday's weigh in shocked me into action both on the food front and moving about more..... I haven't managed to drag myself to the pool again just yet:o but have been going for a walk at lunch time instead of settling down with a magazine at my desk:T . Definitely feel less bloated than I did at the start of the week, which can only be good!!

    Today I'm having..
    B - porridge
L- veg soup from the freezer, small roll
D- not sure yet, probably baked spud with something

    Have a lovely weekend everyone!:D

    Morning all,

Another STS for me this week which is better than a gain but I just hope I can start shifting in the right direction again :)

B: Nothing yet, just about to go meet a friend in Manchester, we are going to a lovely whole foods store near her called Unicorn so I will see what they have there.

L: Usually a nice salad with feta or a small amount of cheddar and pine nuts

D: Vegetable curry and rice 2 poppadoms (its UFC night tonight and a gang of us are getting a takeaway to eat while its on)

Going to make vast quantities of soup tomorrow to help me get back on track 100%

Well done everyone, keep at it ;)
  • Hello everyone! Well done Ianz and :hello: Cranky! I am REALLY struggling with this extra easy slimming world plan! I have reduced my syns but find that I am still eating loads of food and feel really stuffed and bloated all the time. You might think that I should just eat smaller portions but I have real problems with food and feel like if I don't have a big plateful then I might binge... (I'm nuts I know). I just don't see that having a big stew with meat and potatoes can be helping me to lose weight - same with pasta with bolognaise sauce:confused: Today I have had some wholemeal toast and a cup of (skimmed) milky coffee for breakfast and I am panicking about what to have for lunch. I have some soup made (tomato and dried veg and a bit of pasta) and I have lots of salad stuff, potatoes, home cooked Tesco healthy eating gammon joint, eggs, loads of batchelors pasta n sauce and savoury rice, beans, syn free sausages (which I don't really like if I'm honest), mushrooms, onions, celery, barley, lentils, green split peas, rice, pasta, quinoa, bulghur wheat, pasatta, tinned veg of all kinds, lots of fresh fruit, tinned tuna, salmon and sardines, loads of meat in the freezer (extra lean mince, pork steaks, leg of lamb, chicken fillets, stewing beef, steak), - I think what I want is for someone to come in and cook my meals and keep me out of the kitchen:rotfl:

I watched that extreme slimmers the other night and the one chap who had lost the weight through dieting alone (Charlie) said that he had to keep empty fridge and cupboards and just shop each day and I think that is what I probably need to do but it's hard with kids.

I am seriously thinking about going back to calorie counting or Weight Watchers points (neither of which have worked up to no either but hey ho)....

    RS -
dont give up! quite a few of my SW group cant get on with EE and have reverted to the green or red days. I watched the programme too and he proved it is possible to do it without fad diets or gastric bands.
You have lots of good healthy foods in your cupboards to help you. I'm afraid I cant really help you when it comes to binge eating as I've never done it but others here know what you are going through. Just remember why you need to do it. We are all willing both you and the green one on;) x

  • Had friends over last night and had lasagne and salad with french bread and garlic bread. Very nice, had strawbs and cream after. Today had a couple of strawbs and yog bfast and salad sarnie for lunch. Have made a big pot of soup but realised we are out at a party tonight and out tomorrow. No room in freezer so hopefully the teens will eat it and any left can be kept a couple of days in the fridge. Walking not good, will go out soon and try and increase the overall count. Hopefully will be dancing tonight.
RS sorry you're finding it tough at the moment, does it help to remember you long term goal? How is your DD doing? Please don't give up it's early days.

Had porridge with dried apricots and glass of orange juice for breakfast, then went shopping, had a plum when I came home, going to cook dinner of lamb chop, turnip, potatoes in a few minutes, also going to make some mixed veg soup and might have some of that later on if I feel the need.

    Good luck to all
