Hello everyone! Frogga - you have done really well - that is a tremendous amount to lose in just a week - brilliant:T
Pengwern - 2lbs isn't alot - it could just be fluid balance - I know that if I eat sweets (even in measured amounts when sticking to my plan) I get really bad fluid retention and it makes me gain weight. Spartacus is right - just bin them if they are too much to deal with.
I was very good on my EE day yesterday:
Breakfast: just had a latte made with skimmed milk and decaff coffee (hea)
Snack: sliced fresh pineapple (free)
Lunch: hm soup made with passata and dried vegetables (free) and wholemeal bread ham salad sandwich (heb and free) Mullerlight (free)
Dinner: half a packet of savoury rice, baked chicken breast fillet and salad (all free), Muller light and a pear (free)
Syns were 1tsp parmesan cheese, 1tbs of Hellmanns extra light mayo and 1tbs of Heinz extra light salad cream and a HiFi bar (10 in total)
Shelbel - that is a dramatic size reduction - well done! I really want to be able to get "normal" (i.e. size 18 or less) clothes. I hate the clothes in Evans and Simply be but I am stuck with them for now. The problem is that they are just thin peoples clothes sized up and that isn't what we need as big people - stuff needs to be cut differently and T Shirts and blouses need to be longer!
hope you are all having a good day!Jane

I hate the clothes from Evans and Simplybe too! Not only is the quality generally poor, expecially compared to a few years ago, but every other large person is wearing the same clothes as me!:rotfl:
I save up when I can and buy my stuff at 1647. That is the Dawn French/Helen Teague range. I love their stuff, it is nice and long and lasts years!:D Expensive though it could be seen as an investment because I see used 1647 stuff going for very good prices on ebay! When life hands you lemons, ask for tequilla and salt and give me a call!!!0 -

I love the 1647 stuff too! but it is expensive. I bought a green velvet duffle coat from them a few years ago and it was lovely. It cost £200 but everyone used to say how nice it was. I LOVED it and wore it until it fell apart last year! I bought a similar one from them in blueberry but it just didn't seem to have the same fit and I didn't wear it much.Jane

Well done frogga! :j
And hellsbells shelbell, that's a mighty loss so far. Atta girl!
Managed not to graze too much yesterday but made a big curry and ate a bit too much of that in the evening if I'm honest. Still, it was full of healthy good stuff so not going to shoot myself over it.
Today have had:
Breakfast: muesli (1)
Lunch: apple (1) pear (1) 3 spoons of last nights curry (1)
Dinner: I'm stuck! May do potato wedges and poached eggs (sly egg n chips)
2015 wins: Jan: Leeds Castle tickets; Feb: Kindle Fire, Years supply Ricola March: £50 Sports Direct voucher April: DSLR camera June: £500 Bingo July: £50 co-op voucher0 -

:T Well done all the losers:T That includes me :j 2lb loss this week!
Will try and be restrained this weekend as out tomorrow night for a birthday, so its Pizza Express and drinkies. Luckily the temptation of drink won't be too bad as I can't have too many (i.e more than 2 or 3) as my kidney gives me a good kicking the next day  .
I've watched the Paul Mckenna I recorded last week and tried to stick to the 4 main principles. My main one is that I eat too fast (as does all my family - but I am the slowest!) I have really concentrated on my eating and its speed and eat markedly slower, also my portion sizes which were starting to get bigger. For example tonight I had some fresh tuna, which was maybe a little larger than I would normally have and I had a pack of noodles and some veggies, I made it and decided the tuna was too much so took some off and put in the fridge (otherwise the cat would have it:rolleyes: ) and only put half the noodle veg mix on my plate. I ate it slowly and I am still nicely full some 2 hours later and I have my lunch prepared for tomorrow - so win win, money and weight saving :rotfl:
Those that haven't lost don't be disheartened, we all go up and down, also Frogga sending you lots of positive vibes and hoping that you can see the positive in your weight loss - we all think you're doing great (and you RS)
I will not eat all my pizza tomorrow night, I will not eat all my pizza tomorrow night, I will not eat all my pizza tomorrow night, I will not eat all my pizza tomorrow night, (may ask for a doggy bag - cold pizza mmmmmmm)

Not a bad day. I envy those who can eat slowly. I don't do anything slowly. I just can't.
bfst: branflakes, milk (16.1p)
lunch: rice, peas, sweetcorn beans salmon 15gm (19.6p)
Tea: spinach dahl (17.0p) chicken biryani (126.0p) orange juice 8.8p curry sauce in freezer (saved from a takeaway) (0)
Snacks: pumpkin seeds 0.0 (found just out of date in back of cupboard) grapes (13.0p)
Total for day = £2, remainder for week = £4.34
I think what is surprising me on this challenge is that meat is the most expensive part.Popsy0 -
Popsytops oi! can't? can't? get that word out of your usage please
it's a nonsensical word and a very negative one. You can do anything you set your mind to. If you choose not to eat slowly, then that's fine.
Weight loss to date - 8st 13lbs :j0 -
I joined OS weight loss last year and gave up. I now weigh 18lbs more than I did then. I don't want to be the fattest mum at the school gates in September, so I'd like to join again.
My first target is to lose a stone. I have a bit of a problem with migraine that I posted in the grocery challenge. If anyone could think of any low fat, easily portable snacks I would be grateful if you could point me in the right direction (not apples or bananas wither thanks, I don't really like either).0
