Morning everyone! I will be doing my normal easy peasy plan!
Breakfast - cereal, yogurt and fruit (5 syns, free, free)
Lunch - HM leek and potato soup with wholemeal roll filled with sliced tomato(free, heb)
Dinner - pasta bake with cheese topping plus left over ham from last night chopped into it plus added vegetable (free, hea, free)
sugar free jelly with banana and yogurt - freeWhen life hands you lemons, ask for tequilla and salt and give me a call!!!0 -
Plan for the day:
Bfast: egg on toast (12p) fried mushrooms (23p) juice (8.4)
Lunch: HM winter veg soup and bread as yesterday but I'm gonna have to add something to the soup, maybe tomato puree because it tasted like weak stew and had the consistency of porridge yesterday (won't be using that recipe again!) 16p
tea: HM veg shep pie (11.8p), beetroot stew(20p)
Snack: 3 cream crackers (2.5p)
I'm going to have to cut back a bit on carbs today as I am over on milk (2.5 portions) and protein (3 portions instead of two).
94p for the day. total remaining £10.68.
Went to Aldi today: How can they sell 5kg of potatoes for 49p? We can't buy seed potatoes for that!Popsy0 -

Is your £50 budget just for food or for everything?
I think my boys would be happy to live on juice, toast and boursin for the week as long as they got their chicken tikka on Friday!Popsy0 -

Please can I join you all in loosing weight. I have decided to join SW tomorrow, needs must! I have just over 2 stone to loose and I know I can’t do it on my own.
It’s years since I did SW, so will probably have loads of questions to ask.
It sounds daft but I am actually a gold member at WW, having lost over 5 stone a few years ago, but with early retirement and the menopause (and pigging out) the weight is creeping back on. Our original leader has also retired and the new class isn’t as convenient for me. (I think that sounds like another excuse)
So, why SW. Well, a WW friend decided to join last September for the same reason and has been trying to persuade me to go with her. (she has lost 1.1/2 stone) Until now I have made every excuse under the sun not to. But just lately I have been a bit depressed about my weight, and the usual “nothing fit’s anymore”. So I have to be serious about this and this morning I rang her and made arrangements to go with her in the morning. Will let you know how I get on.
I have been reading this thread on and off for the past few weeks and can see how you all support each other, and I think it helps. Even if you have bad days there is always someone there to encourage you to try again without putting you down.
Sorry for the long post but I feel more positive now about getting back on track and loosing the weight.
Thanks. Karen0 -
Really stupid last night.....8 chocolates and 4 slices light fruit cake, had been good all day and then had heartburn to punish me as I deserved.
Didn't weigh last week as I was away for weekend so am waiting until Friday of this week and will be delighted with any loss.
So far to-day I have had a weetabix, milk and banana, followed by a home made cappuccino.
Lunch will probably be a cheese sandwich and some dried fruit.
Dinner will be chicken stir fry with veg and rice, hopefully followed by snacks of fruit.
Have a good day all,

afternoon all
welcome Flourgirl:hello: I am a SW member so feel free to ask me anything you need to know!
Food today
B - poached egg on toast
L - roasted veg cous cous and salad
D - quorn chilli and rice or a jacket spud
snacks
2 x ryvita goodness bars, clementines, banana, shape satisfaction yoghurt.
These snacks keep me topped up through the day and stop me reaching for less healthy snacks.
I cant believe I've lasted almost a full week and stuck to it(first time in ages:D ) I think planning each day properly is a big help and if I go out I always take a snack in my bag to avoid temptation.
hope you're all having a good day xDo what you love :happyhear0 -
Good afternoon!
I've been following SW since last year (hmmm, about June time I think) and have lost a stone. I had food poisoning in November and to be honest have really struggled to get back into the SW way of thinking since then (when I lost half a stone in a week  !)
I'm trying to be as OS as possible and have recently moved in with my bf so I'm cooking a lot more than I was (and really enjoying it) I even had a breadmaker for Christmas.
Here's today's food diary:
B: cup of tea (I know, I'm naughty. TBH this is one of the main reasons I'm struggling with SW - not enought healthy extras for me!!)
L: minestrone soupsausage casserole with mash, peas and carrots
Snacks: muller light
My downfall is snacking during the evening and thinking, one bit won't hurt, but one bit becomes a whole bar (can you guess chocolate is my weakness!)
What I would like to do is eat 3 healthy meals per day, and maintain rather than lose weight - any advice? I do love baking and cooking from scratch but this isn't always losing-weight-friendly!Cymru am Byth!0 -
Pengwern - welcome! I am at target and trying to maintain (apart from trying to lose my Christmas weight gain) I know its hard but you need to eat breakfast, it gets your metabolism going. I try and eat 3 meals a day plus 3 snacks. On SW when at target they say to have some extra hebs each day instead of extra syns. There are lots of B choices not just bread and cereal depending on which day you are doing. Have you tried the new Extra Easy plan - only one a and one b each day!
if you ate more B's maybe you wouldn't need to snack on chocolate in the evenings - dont mean to preach honest!:D plus you can have chocolate on SW - a Cadbury's Flake is 9 syns!:EasterBun(that's me;) )
Do what you love :happyhear0 -
Many thanks for the reasurring comments!
I think I was just having a bad day yesteday and I was just feeling sorry for myself about how badly I did at the weight loss thing last weekend. Although a couple of hours karate training last night soon sorted that out!
In complete contrast from the weekend I've been VERY good today! Porridge for breakfast, baked potato for lunch and I've been snacking on apples so feeling much more positive.
May even take my measurements today (it'll be the first time since before Chrismas so fingers crossed!)0
