Inspired by Wezl’s amazing 50p-a-day healthy diet challenge achievement, and being constantly on a diet, set me wondering how cheap a healthy weight loss diet can be.
Old Style already has a thriving weightloss thread - already at volume 6 :j . I'll add this to that thread

Hey all,
Been away for a few days so not quite as saintly as I should be but I did do my best to make sensible choices when eating out and stuck with granary toast for breakfast instead of the bacon that was on offer.
B: Toast and muelsi with ss milk
L: Roast chicken and chipswith salad
Nothing, might have a small sandwich later if I fancy.
Tomorrow will be tough because a friend is buying us a takeaway for helping him move house. Hope there is something I can have without feeling too awful
Hope everyone is doing OK0 -

I love the fact that he says you can eat what you want... but i am trying not to totally pig out as per normal coz i want to eat more healthily as well as lose weight. I think he really makes sense, even with all the tapping, although i haven't tapped much yet - have you?
Hi everyone. Plzhelpmesave I have not had to do any tapping yet, but most of my weaknesses tend to happen when I get stressed at work, and the chocolate vending machine starts calling, and I have not been to work yet since I watched the program.
I am still astounded by how much less I'm eating following the plan. I went to my mum and dads for lunch, and I had told my mum what I was doing before I had my lunch so she was aware of it, so she didn't mind when I left half of my lunch. During lunch my dad commented on how slowly I was eating, so I told him I was eating consciously, and to be honest he thought I'd gone mad, so I explained what the plan was all about, he was a bit sceptical, but mum told him to allow me to try.
My food today:
B. Nothing (woke up too late for breakfast)
L. Sunday lunch
D. Pizza (last of what was left from Friday) and grapes
Snack: Piece of birthday cake (at my friends daughter's 3rd birthday party) was very proud of myself as I had none of the buffet :T0 -
Morning all - quick posting of my eating plan as I am about to go to class and get weighed. Not expecting a loss as I have been cheating myself in the evenings:mad: - maybe I should try tapping! I have recorded the programmes but havn't watched them yet.
Breakfast - oatmeal, yogurt, berries (HEB,free, free)
Lunch - Butternut squash soup - (free)
Dinner, Roast ham, mashed potatoe, brocolli and carrots (free)
milk in coffees - (HEA)
syns - definately !:D

B - poached egg on toast(with spaghetti)
L - HM leek and potato soup
D - ?
snacks - lots of fruit plus 2 ryvita goodness bars
will pop back tonight after work to see how you all are xDo what you love :happyhear0 -
Morning all!
Trying best not to feel demoralised and self-hating but it's difficult. I don't seem to be able to eat normally at all and am a greedy piggy. The stone and a half I lost last year got put back on over christmas and new year in an eating rampage, and I'm sure I gained again last week (too scared to look at the scales!). I don't know how to stay in theat weight-loss "headspace".
But hey ho, I shall endeavour to have a better week this week.
Breakfast: banana, muesli (2)
Lunch: quiche, salad (1)
Dinner: hm prawn and veg pad thai (1)
snacks melon and grapes
Lets see if I can stick to the plan for once heh.2015 wins: Jan: Leeds Castle tickets; Feb: Kindle Fire, Years supply Ricola March: £50 Sports Direct voucher April: DSLR camera June: £500 Bingo July: £50 co-op voucher0 -
Morning all.
Weighed today and am pleased to report a 1½ lb loss!
Food plan for today is:
b: oats with syrup and nana
l: HM Butternut squash soup and a wholemeal roll
d: smoked river cobbler and steamed veg
Snacks - go ahead biccies.
OH has started his healthy eating routine (including doing weights and going for a run all before 7 am) so that should cut down on the temptations as he will be telling me off rather than asking me to buy/make cakes and biccies
Plan is to go for a walk at lunch. Hopefully it won't be chucking downworking on clearing the clutterDo I want the stuff or the space?0 -
Morning all,
Back on track this morning with an early brekkie and lots to do to take my mind off snacking.
B: Porridge, skimmed milk and water with a splash of honey
L: Spicy chickpea soup, yoghurtTake away
Can't get out of this one as a friend wants to buy it for us. Will avoid the side dishes, order a veggie option and boiled rice (not sure if its Chinese or Indian yet)
Will stay away from extra snacks today just in case tonight is horrendous0 -
Hello everyone and welcome popsytops
I am trying to lose weight by sensible eating and exercise but finding it difficult. I am in the GC and trying to spend 50 a week for a family of 4 (me oh and 2 teens.) My OH needs to lose weight but the teens are as skinny as anything so I make sure there is extra for them. Very interested to see how you get on.
The walking went awol after Wednesday and I never got back on track, total for week ended at 25K so way under target, feell pretty shamefaced as I was doing so well the first 3 days. Starting over again this week so hoping to be much better. Back to yoga class tonight and I'm looking forward to it, only thing is, it starts at 7 and I cannot eat before, it is a 2 hour class so by the time Iget home it is gone 9 and too late for a proper meal. Will try and get home for 3 and eat before the family meal at 6 and before I'm out again at 4.
Have sts this week - again, but not surprising as I found a box of truffles that needed using up, no matter where I hid them they kept calling so I have silenced them once and for all. Glad I didn't gain, will have to be very good this week.WL 11 st 5lb as at 050109. 160209 11st 2lb
