afternoon everyone :hello:
I haven't been on for a while, and will spend tomorrow trying to catch up
I went and joined a gym  I always hated them but I guess I didn't approach it right. We already have an annual family membership to our local sports centre and it's got a brand new, 'state of the art' gym. My children spent loads of time there so a family membership works out very cost effective, my gym sessions work out at 50p a go.
I went along to the induction and was quite impressed. I now go for 1/2hr a day and burn off about 250-300 calories in the CV area. I don't go mad and go for the burn, just potter along
It's perfect as I drop the children off at school and then walk across the road to get 1/2hr done early in the day before work
I have been for the past week and can honestly say it's not that bad.
I have lost 3lbs this week and am really pleased. It's been fairly easy to fit in the exercise, so with a better food planner I should be able to keep it up.
I'll pop in tomorrow and see how everyone is doing.
If I can do it, anyone can0 -
I'm still in a state of shock after this morning's weigh in, 3lb on!!  Thought I'd got off a bit too lightly last week when I'd only gained 2lb over the festivities and wow has it (and polishing off everyone's leftover last week:o )caught up with me now!
Needless to say I'm well and truly back on the wagon as of today. Had chicken salad sandwich, yoghurt, banana, 2 satsumas and cuppa soup in work, and chicken, SW chips and peas tonight.
:T Well done everyone who's lost, I'll be joining you next week if it kills me!!:D0 -
please please please kick me up the backside.
I need to get back into the habits of eating just 3 times a day, going back to basics and eating good protein rich meals consisting of simple components.
My body deserves to be treated well, and I deserve to be healthy. I will not punish myself by sabotaging my weight loss.
Today -
Breakfast - special k bar
Lunch - packet of ready salted crisps (!!!!!!!)
Mid afternoon - milky bar bauble (!!!!!!!!)
Dinner - basa fillet (steamed) with romaine lettuce, grated carrot, small peice of soda bread and a tspoon of low fat garlic/onion dip.
See dinner was good. Basics. Healthy. Protein based. Balanced.
The rest of the day was pants.
Kick me.Weight loss to date - 8st 13lbs :j0 -
Start weight 11st 12 today. Good diet day but bad for the budget as I was using up the left-over duck from Sunday (before I had the budget idea).
- Bfst: banana (14p)
- lunch: root veg soup, bread, fruit juice (24.5p)
- snack: 6 cream crackers (5p)
- tea: pasta with duck sauce (477.4) (and that's using 'free' pressie wine!)
budget left for week = £11.62 though I have 'banked' a load of duck stock and some parsley which is cheaper from our local fruit shop and nicer.
I normally don't like dried fruit but I got some sultanas and added them to the duck sauce recipe and they were lovely. Will do that again.
Can anyone tell me what STS means please?Popsy0 -
Hi popsy, sts is 'stayed the same'... something I would dearly like to have done this week instead of piling on 3 bloomin' pounds!!0

The numbers are my 5 a day portions, try to at least get the 5 fruit and veg even if I do top it up with cake.2015 wins: Jan: Leeds Castle tickets; Feb: Kindle Fire, Years supply Ricola March: £50 Sports Direct voucher April: DSLR camera June: £500 Bingo July: £50 co-op voucher0 -
well done to all those who have lost!:T to those who havent just think of it as a long term project the SW consultant says there's two routes to target - the motorway route or the scenic route:D you will get there in the end but you've also got to have a life and make changes that you can keep to long term not drastic diets that only work short term but leave you heavier afterwards than before you started.
been ok today
B - poached egg on toast and spaghetti
S - banana
L - HM leek and pot soup, 1 slice toast and grapes
S - ryvita goodness bar and clementine
D - sea bass fillets, new pots and veg
The sea bass was at the pub so am pleased to say I chose healthily:A:j

Morning all and a big well done to the losers!
Managed a half-decent day yesterday but still finding it extremely hard to curb the over-eating. If I go into town today I will try to remember to weigh myself at Boots and see what the damage is.
For breakfast I have had muesli and a banana, no idea what I am having the rest of the day.2015 wins: Jan: Leeds Castle tickets; Feb: Kindle Fire, Years supply Ricola March: £50 Sports Direct voucher April: DSLR camera June: £500 Bingo July: £50 co-op voucher0 -

Hi Jo - maybe this is part of your problem, not having anything planned? I find that if I haven't planned something then I get easy junk food like a shop sandwich or something
Do you usually plan lunches and dinner?
Sometimes I leave it as an either/or but still have a plan
My food today:
b: oats, nana and much less syrup than usual
l: eitherjacket potato and mystery mini tub from freezer which I think is chilli - or leek and tatty soup with a roll (both in the fridge at work defrosting and whichever I don't eat today will be my lunch tomorrow)
d: Boiled gammon and veg
Snacks - frozen black cherries, go ahead biccies.
Trying to cut down on my processed sugar as I seem to have major sugar cravingsworking on clearing the clutterDo I want the stuff or the space?0 -
