    Mortgage-free Glee!
Have decided to make myself a packed lunch this week, even tho' I'm actually at home! Last week, linchtimes on my own were my downfall as I just opened the fridge and fancied some of this....and that.. oh and that too...You get the picture! So, I'm hoping to fool myself into thinking the packed lunch is all there is....
Isn't it stupid how I really want to cut down, yet sabotage it all by myself? I'm a grown woman for heaven's sake! (grown too much!!)

    Think twice before spending anything!

Beemuzed - I think the packed lunch idea is great!:T

  • Was at a party on Sat night but since I wasn;t really in a partying mood my plan for to head down, show face, stay for a drink and head home.

Nice plan but the reality ended up in me heading home at around 3am after a few extra tequilla shots and a bag of chips in hand. :(

Feeling very dishartened about the whole weightloss thing since I'm never going to achieve my target if I keep up things like this. :(

Hi PurpleSkies, don't beat yourself up over this. How often do we get to party, and as the saying goes 'All work and no play makes Jack a dull boy'. I'm so pleased you enjoyed yourself, you were feeling down and you ended the night on a high. Remember that.

All you have to do is get back on the horse today, and start again, and remember your party for the good night it was and not for how much of that did I eat or drink.

As shezza said, don't beat yourself up about it purple.

The thing you need to remember is that if your diet has changed for the majority of the week (eg say 90% of the time you are good), then you are still eating much better than you were before ;)

Also... I still ate a third of a tub of carte d'or type icecream at the weekend and lost weight. It's the rest of the week where I had improved my food choice that counted ;)
working on clearing the clutterDo I want the stuff or the space?
  • Hi everyone.

Was thinking I had done pretty well all week, and then the weekend went kinda pearshaped. There was biscuits, cheesecake, all sorts of stuff. I was really worried this morning. But I must have done enough through the work to survive the weekend as I dropped another 5.2lbs. Im made up as this takes me over the 3 stone so far.

So Im promising myself that I will be really good this week.

    Bran Flakes w/dried fruit
    Banana
Healthy choice Tuscan Bean soup w/toasty squares & laughing cow w/cucumber sandwich
    Fruit
    Pasta
    Bovril

I hope you all have a good week this week.

Congratulations to newlywed, retired lady and ispartacus on your great loses :j :T :T .
So glad I logged on and found several of you like me are having a battle with yourselves. I've got plenty to do but don't fancy doing any of it so now feel bored and ate an extra yogurt and half tub of glace cherries  . Oh well at least they won't be sitting in the cupboard calling to me any more.
Your plan sounds very interesting popsytops, good luck with it and the budget. Heaven only knows why I spend so much a week on food for three when DS4 is always looking in the fridge saying there's nothing to eat :p . Nothing is thrown away either.
Anyway this week I will make a concerted effort to reduce spends as it's a five week month for us plus I'll need 2 lots of insulin for 'ancient one' and I'd like that to come out of housekeeping. I can claim it back on her insurance later and put it towards DD's wedding. Deposit to be put on her dress this week too, groan, and I want to book tickets for the Australian Pink Floyd concert as my birthday prezzie. We really can't afford to eat this month when I think about it  . So I think I'd better go and sort out menus for the week and a shopping list. At least the cashback is due on the credit card this month :D .
Hope you can keep the munchies at bay folks (better than me). Suz

  • Hi guys

Shezza, i'm still doing ok with Paul, although i'm doing more of the excercise than the eating rules i think! keep forgetting to put down my fork or food, and then remember when ive nearly finished ... but will persevere!
Popsytops - great idea - hope it goes well!

I have been really trying to get up and about more, and it is working! Did over30 mins on wii fit yesterday - and my BMI has gone down a bit in the past week andit confirmed my 2lb weight loss - was a bit unsure about my scales!! I even got on my Orbitrek trainer thingybob and did 7 minutes.

Have been good(ish) with food, i.e. eating normalish food, but eating a lot less of it. Tday i've had
Brekkie - porridge with ss milk
Lunch - leftover pasta and enchilada with LOTS of salad & drank water
Dinner - curry with 1 chappatti - would normally have 2 will add salad and drink water
snax - low fat yogurt as it will be out of date soon!
Excercise - 20 mins wii fit and 8 minutes orbitrek (will try to increase by a minute a day!)

Is it worth adding an Excercise bullet point when we do our meal plan?

    Morning all!

Trying best not to feel demoralised and self-hating but it's difficult. I don't seem to be able to eat normally at all and am a greedy piggy. The stone and a half I lost last year got put back on over christmas and new year in an eating rampage, and I'm sure I gained again last week (too scared to look at the scales!). I don't know how to stay in theat weight-loss "headspace".

But hey ho, I shall endeavour to have a better week this week.

    Breakfast: banana, muesli (2)

    Lunch: quiche, salad (1)

Dinner: hm prawn and veg pad thai (1)

    snacks melon and grapes

Lets see if I can stick to the plan for once heh.

JoJob - don't be so hard on yourself! You did it before and you know you can do it again!:T What are the numbers on your menu? I am guessing WW points? I am doing SW myself - think I'm a convert for life now:D
