well done to shezza and lainz:T

I'm off to work later till 10pm tonight with 2 meals at work s9 wont be so easy today to keep on track but am determined to try.

I've had poached egg on toast for breakfast and am taking a jacket spud for tea as I dont know whats on the menu( possible with tuna or 42g low fat cheddar)we are going out for lunch but hopefully I can get some soup or something.
I am taking a banana. clmentines and grapes for snacks and a yoghurt too so this should keep me going:D

Retired-lady- are you sure about the wholegrain Aldi yoghurts being free? I tried to look them up on the SW website, couldn't find them so tried the syn calculator which said they were 7 1/2 syns:eek: anyone got a food directory to check? It may be me being thick when I couldn't find them:D
I had a muesli bio yoghurt with wholegrains and have also got a blueberry and elderflower with wholegrains. would be glad if we could sort this out as they are lovely and filling:T

Hope you all have a good day, am working all weekend but will keep posting when possible x

  • Jojo - if you don't want to weigh yourself hun - don't! If you think you've put weight on, then get back on track and weight yourself next week instead. Do what you need to do to keep yourself motivated, and even if you have put weight on, use it as an incentive to get going again. You can do it hun!!

I weighed myself yesterday - having last weighed on friday last week - and seem to have lost 2lb!!

It's actually beenmuch easier than i thought, and i think its the old Paul McKenna thing kicking in, I'm just thinking a lot more about what i am eating, whether i really want it or if i can live without it, and most times i can. If i really want something, e.g. shortcread biccies, i had 2 rather than the whole packet i would have eaten last week. Have also had 2 birthdays this week so lots of pizza and junk - but i was quite good and eat a lot less than before.

Have also tried to up the excercise, had 3 days on wii fit and been trying to walk more, even in the house been going up and down the stairs - just while cleaning and putting things away.

Its amazing how losing just 2lbs makes a difference, before i weighed myself i could already see and feel the change in my waist and the big bunch of skin under my braline had already reduced a bit. I know this time i can do it!!!

hope everyone elses weigh-ins went well. And if they didn't, just try again tomorrow, don't wait until the next weekday or occassion, just carry on the next day!

Don't worry - I promise they are free. We all looked them up in class after been told about them by our consultant and she reassured us that they are free. They are nice aren't they?:j:j:j

  • Welcome to the group Chuckie, there is a nice friendly group of people on here! :beer:Your menu looks good - do you always do green days? I love the new extra easy plan! I wouldn't worry too much about the exercise thing. I know it helps to do some when dieting but will SW you will still lose! I have arthritis in my knees and in this weather they hurt a lot and does restrict my walking somewhat. Just do what you can and wait for the good days and then do a little more;):A

    Marion

I do a mix of red and green days but I do find green days a lot easier because I love pasta and rice but I don't eat much meat. I do like fish but need to work on what I'm having with it to make it interesting.

I don't think the new extra easy plan is much use to me because of losing one heb, I always want cereal for breakfast so will always use my heb for that. Guess it'll work if I have english breakfast but that'll be on days off only :D

Here is my plan for the day. The problem I am having at the moment is that I plan a nice menu and eat it all - then go mad in the evenings and nibble nibble nibble:mad::o
Can't see me losing weight this week:(

Breakfast - eggs, bacon and hashbrowns (free+4.5 syns)
Lunch - Butternut Squash soup, home made (free)
Dinner - Roast beef, carrots, cauliflower and jacket potatoe (free)

syns - have already had a slice of stollen and a slice of dundee. sigh - luckily it is now all gone:o

    Love

I'm the same except I'll leave the healthy snacks on my desk at work and eat biscuits instead :o

My worst one is OH will get the munchies and eat through most of a pack of biccies in one go and when they are in front of you like that....

Still he starts his healthy eating plan on Monday so hopefully will do better :o

Have bought some skinny cow lollies so hopefully that will reduce the icecream cravings
working on clearing the clutterDo I want the stuff or the space?
  • You know you can count dried fruit towards your 5-a-day as well. So you can add a tablespoon of sultanas or raisins e.g. to cereals/curries, whatever to cheaply boost your intake (around 40 calories I think).

Hi all. Have just picked myself up off the floor having read Frogga's routine  . 5 to 6 hours sleep and I turn 'nasty', think dragon with a head ache:D . Tadpoles and Mr Frog would be diving for cover under a lily pad believe me. Also I've noticed that when I'm really tired I turn to food in a big way, not caring what I wolf down. It's as if my brain says give me more and more fuel to keep going, even when I've just eaten. Could this be part of our problem  , should just go to bed instead of thinking it's not bedtime or too much to do and so hit the kitchen. Just a thought  .
Did anyone see the Claire Sweeny program when she ate what she fancied and stopped her healthy eating and exercise routine? Quite an eye opener, 2 stone on in 6 weeks.
Well done to the fantastic losers amongst us :T :T , plzhelpmesave, shezza and anyone else I've missed.
Plodding along here. Usual Oatabix with fruit and yogurt for Breakie, poached egg on toast, with real butter, and rhubarb yogurt for lunch, date and fig for snack and tonight will be GFY Lasagna and HUGE salad. Lots of walkies for me and the pack.
Just finished the ironing and the scent wafting off the pillowcases was of DSs 1 and 3 who were here over Christmas. It was lovely, they were back with me instead of 4hrs drive away. Me thinks I'm spending too much time with dogs :rotfl: .
    Popsytops welcome.
