Just came back in from walking the dog and is freezing outside. Think I will make a big pot of butternut squash from the slimming world menu and whenever I fancy something hot and sweet will have a cup of that!
When life hands you lemons, ask for tequilla and salt and give me a call!!!
  • Bran Flakes
    Mandarins
    Savoury rice and tuna
    Mandarins
Not sure what we have till I look in the freezer. Fishcake and chips (all that was left)

THE FOLLOWING IS A WARNING FOR THOSE UNFAMILIAR

Let me preface this by saying I am not normally an alcohol drinker. Never liked lager/bitter/spirits etc.

OK. The cause of this warning is Kopperburg. There are a couple of flavours floating about, pear, non alcoholic pear and mixed fruit.
    THESE DRINKS ARE DANGEROUS
The pear cider is a nice drink, one that you could very easily drink too much of. If your driving there is the non alcoholic version but this tastes like liquid pear drops!!!! Before you know it you will have bought every bottle in the bar and have nothing left for food!
But the worst of all is the mixed fruit. Simply, its alcoholic Vimto. You arent drinking alcohol when your drinking it. You are a 12 year old kid with a big glass of vimto thinking of going out to play football with your mates. You cant get out of the mental state that you are drinking fizzy pop. All thats missing is the sherbert dibdabs!

So there is your warning. Kopperburg, its too nice to be legal!

OK, so back to the serious stuff. Ive decided to do a meal plan for the next week because Im hoping its easier than just seeing what is in the freezer. Ive deen and done a big shop at the supermarket and hopefully have everything I will need.

    Today

    Bran Flakes
    Madarin & Banana
    Tuscan Bean Soup w/toastie bits
    Cripsy bacon strips
    Pork loin, veg, boiled pots

    See you all tomorrow.

This stuff gives me the WORST hangovers but its so easy to drink _pale__pale__pale_ I stick to vodka lime and soda now as I feel great the next day :D

Todays food is a bit odd as we are driving somewhere later so we have sandwiches for the car. Today is very carb heavy ecause I didn't plan very well so everything involves bread :o

B: 2 wholemeal toast with cheese spread

L: Scouse and a glass of mango juice

D: Roast chicken sandwich on wholemeal bread and some hot cross bun bread

Hopefully I won't need anything else but I always seem to get hungry when we travel, maybe its just boredom

Have a great weekend all, I weighed this morning and have STS, not really surprised as I started back properly on Tuesday and its TOTM so I am OK with a maintain.
  • Feeling pretty good today. I think my body is enjoying the break from all the rich rood and alcohol that I've been indulging in over Chirstmas, at least for this week anyway!
Went back to training last night and it didn't leave me feeling to unfit and out of shape! Been quite good food-wise as well. Been having porridge most mornings, healthy filled sandwiches for lunch, apples for snacks and usually stuff from the freezer (with plenty of fresh veg) for dinner.

May even have a treat tonight (since it's a Friday and I feel I've been doing quite well) in the shape of a small piece of Christmas cake I still have left!

Hope everyone is doing well and not finding January too much of a struggle.

I'd like to join you lovely slimmers if that's ok? I went back to SW last night after an 18 month break. I have put on 1 1/2 stones in that time since being diagnosed with ME, so even though exercise is limited and not sure how I'm going to manage on bad days I'm determined to shift it :D

I've got 2 weddings, a special birthday and 'fingers crossed' my uni graduation so I have good motivation.

    Today I have had -
Brekky - 2 Weetabix, banana, ss milk
Lunch - 4 sesame ryvitas, 3 laughing cow lights, tomatoes
Tea - SW chips, poached egg and beans - it's cooking now and I can't wait

Welcome to the group Chuckie, there is a nice friendly group of people on here! :beer:Your menu looks good - do you always do green days? I love the new extra easy plan! I wouldn't worry too much about the exercise thing. I know it helps to do some when dieting but will SW you will still lose! I have arthritis in my knees and in this weather they hurt a lot and does restrict my walking somewhat. Just do what you can and wait for the good days and then do a little more;):A

    Morning all :)

Am in sunny (ha!) Dunstable for the weekend, drove down this morning and currently lieing on my hotel bed watching telly and surfing the net. Just like being at home lol.

Weighed this morning, and have lost 2lbs since Tuesday :D Only another 2lbs and I'll be under 200lbs!

Am going to let you in on a little secret. Have brough my trackie and trainers and am planning on going for a little jog in the morning. How insane is that? Actually, I bought hubbys fila hoody because A it fit's (woohoo I'm smaller than hubby) and B it fit's. OK so A and B are technically the same but oh my god it fits!
