Morning! Lay in bed last night squishing my tummy feeling all pleased it wasn't all bloated and huge. Just squishy. Am a bit worried about what it will look like after losing fat though - am I going to have one of those skin flaps? Pregnancy just totally messed up that area, I don't like it at all!

B: Had a clementine so far, will have a banana later (100)

L: 2 quorn sausages, mash and veg with gravy and a yorkshire pud (600)

D: Fish in batter with salad (400)

    Snacks: grapes, cup-a-soup

    Morning Peeps,

Well, even though I knew I was weighing in this morning I stuffed my face yesterday!! What is wrong with me? Talk about self sabotage :o

Anyway, on Jan 1st I was 17st 1lb and this morning I was 16st 2lb. So even with a bad start, and a face full last night I'm pretty happy bout that :D

Just had a chat with Mr Frog and have decided to eat wwhat I want today but NOT binge, and then all back to it on Feb 1st in the morning. Then I'll be great for a whole 4 weeks and see what the scales say on the last day of Feb. I'm aiming for 15st 4lb. Should be doable ;)

Hope you are all having a good weekend ~ speak soon xxx

wend - that salad sounds delish! I am going to put one together tomorrow. Is the chilli sauce a particular brand/type? I haven't used chilli sauce before so unsure what to buy.

The brand he likes is Encona Thai Sweet Chilli Sauce. The salad is great as it is so cheap and easy to make - I use value kidney beans (19p a can) and the cheapest peppers on sale so its only around £1 for the ingredients (apart from the sauce but that will last you ages) whereas he used to spend between £1.50 and £2 a day buying from the shops.

wend I need your dog!! Mine died at Easter (aged 15) and I really want another one.

I have 3 dogs but Maggie May is something special! As well as being my running partner (at age 10 she still doesn't even pant after 4 miles whereas I'm a wreck!) she is also a PAT (Pets as Therapy) dog and we have been visiting a local nursing home every week for years. The last dog I lost was seventeen and half when he died and I'd had him literally half my life. They leave a huge hole when they die but there are so many unwanted dogs out there ready to fill it. All my dogs are rescued and I think they always give you a little bit more as thanks.:)

  • :)Good Morning,
Frogga that's amazing! hoping to emulate that :-)
I only started a few days ago using a SW online-style diet - was finding it ok but had a scone and jam yesterday (HM), worked out the syns and it was 10.5! really fed up about that so consoled myself with a packet of fig rolls! (beginning to see where my problem may lie :)).

    :rotfl:Welcome to the club!

Wendy I know exactly what you mean about your dogs. I have 4 whippets and they are rescued boys. Have had whipets all my life as Mum and Dad had them before me ~ don't know what life would be like without a four legged friend following me to the toilet ;)

    morning!

Frogga - you did really well - you should have text me last night you naughty frog:naughty: when you had your feast!:D

WCS - I've been doing SW or my version of it for 3 years nearly and been at target for 2 years. I'm here for help to maintain my weight really rather than lose any more. Apparently its all scientifically calculated but I'm not too keen that they seem to push certain brands such as mullerlight and batchellors even though they are full of carp. They do however advocate cooking from scratch unlike WW who want you to buy all their convenience rubbish and aren't actually teaching you how to cook healthy meals.
I just follow my version of it which is the Green days and I limit my bread and cheese intake. I do have the odd cake(pref HM as you know whats in them) but always have the smaller bread - 400g loaf and never more than once a day. I make a lot of HM soups and eat lots of jacket spuds. I eat lots of quorn and a have fish once a week at least(use it as a B)
I do have a problem with chocolate so try and avoid it but sometimes I just cant so just try and buy small bars instead of the family sized one I used to like.
Let me know if I can help you with anything.

today I've treated myself to a 'nice' cereal for breakfast - and not weighed it:eek::D a oaty clustery type from tesco with fruit, coconut, nuts and I added seeds and a banana with skimmed milk. I decided to make this a treat on a Saturday or Sunday once a week.

    B - cereal as above

L - got some sainsbugs soup to use up - spicy tomato and lentil, small brown roll(seeded - out of date but still edible I hope)

D - salmon fillet with leeks and broccoli in cheese sauce and baby carrots.

got grapes and yoghurt and an apple if peckish.

hope you all have a good Sundayx
    Do what you love :happyhear

    Hi all,

Grateful - I lost my old dog 2 yrs ago at 14 and he broke my heart, so I have recently (Aug ) rescued an older dog, he is 5 and the love that he has is over-whelming, I'd recommend another dog if you have the time or to try and help out at a rescue center if you have one locally.

BenW - 25 miles is a marathon, well done. I would think that you haven't lost weight as you are gaining muscle, do you feel better and do your clothes fit better? If so I wouldn't worry about your weight every week.

JoJoB - I have lost my weight slowly and have not found a problem with skin flaps, but try a yoga or piliaties class as these help you tone and flex rather than burning off lots off calories. And if you can sit ups are the best thing for tummy areas.

Good luck to all for the week the ahead, I shall probably have a bad one as my fella is back so we will probably have a few [STRIKE]glasses[/STRIKE] bottles of wine!

    Hi all,

Still sticking to plan and feeling smug because I have managed to convine OH that we don't need a takeaway tonight and can have some nice HM grub instead ;)

B/L: Another one of my favourite mozarella, pesto and tomato ciabattas

D: HM roasted vegetable pasta sauce with wholemeal penne and parmesan cheese

S: HM rhubarb crumble with a small scoop of ice cream :)

All still within plan and thoroughly delicious :)

Off to Berlin tomorrow, can't wait but its -9 C there so I will probably crave hot chocolate and apple pie ;)

Thanks, I appreciate the support. I mostly have porridge for breakfast in winter, yoghurt and cereal in the summer. Soup for lunch and something healthy for dinner. Have realised I eat way to much cheese for my health, ditto bread. I rarely drink alcohol when my partner is away (he's away 3 months at a time) and can mostly not bother with sweets - although when i start i can't stop . Likewise with baking if I dont start eating it i'm fine.!
So today I had porridge for breakfast, soup for lunch but instead of bread I chucked in some of that tiny pasta and it was lovely.
Chicken for dinner so that should be fine.
I chose SW as I dont want to go down the road of processed food, so it seems ideal.
Congrats on maintaining your weight loss, you must be delighted!
