Hi everyone , thought Id join in and try and loose some weight.
I have tried so many diets and to be honest they all seem to cost alot of money. Then last week I was watching Paul Mckenna "I can make you thin" and realised where I have been going wrong. I usually eat diet foods that taste horrible , then get fed up and eat crap.
So from now on its smaller meals of what I want - so this should keep me sane.
Kindness costs nothing0 -
Good to see you frogga! Sorry you've had a few mishaps but we shall be looking delish by summer eh?
Bit of a mishap myself yesterday - OH rang me at 10am to say he was getting train home from victoria, then his battery ran out. 5 hours later he still wasn't home so I thought he was dead. Thought there was a vague possibility he had stopped off in a pub to watch the footy, but he wouldn't make me worry like that surely, so must be dead. So had an extra bowl of chilli and half a pack of choccie biscuits.
Naturally he wasn't dead and tripped through the door approximately 15 mins after Full Time. I had a nice 10 mins thinking about life insurance though.
Didn't have fish last night, cheese on toast instead so will have it tonight.
Not much in so will cobble something together.

Hi all,
Yesterday was rubbish as OH wanted a takeaway due to being a little hungover  for the same reason I was craving carbs all day!
Saturday night wasn't so bad, I had a few little bits from the buffet like curry with rice (teeny portion), 2 triangle sandwiches and some potato salad but not too much else and I stuck to vodka lime sodas to minimise the damage.
B: 2 wholemeal toast or porridge, haven't decided yet
L: HM chickpea curryWholemeal pasta with HM roasted veg sauce and a big salad
S: Small skinny latte and some fruit
Have a good week all, I'm hoping to lose a bit before Feb as we are going away for a few days and I don't want to be flapping because my clothes are all tight!0 -

Morning everyone! Nice to see a few new (and returning) people in this thread - the more the merrier I say
I never really get the chance to come on here and post at the weekends and as a result my good eating habits go out of the window! It's so frustrating that I can manage to be good during the week but then the weekend comes and I ruin it all... I suspect this is a common problem though? I need to be more aware that being in 'relaxtion mode' does not equal 'stuff your face silly' mode  So this weekend was a complete dieting disaster... there were cookies, chocolates, sweets, desserts... and that was just Saturday! Feeling very bad about it now so trying to focus on having a positive week and making up for some of the damage where possible, one day at a time. Today looks like this...
B: Porridge made with water, handful raisins
L: Light cream cheese sandwhich on HM brown bread, pot of HM yog, pearHM carrot and lentil soup with slice HM bread (no butter)
Snack: Fruit (depending on what's on offer in Mr T when I go there on my lunchbreak)
Exercise: 5K run at the gym OR 1hr low impact cardio workout (depends how my ankle is feeling after work, bit sore at the mo)
Going to try to get to the gym every day this week because OH and I have been invited to a Burns Night Supper next Saturday and goodness knows how many calories are in haggis!!! Can't pass it up though, I'm a true Scot0 -
Good morning all. I'm feeling very chuffed this morning looking out at all the newly cut privit hedging. Managed to get sloath like DH to lend a hand (though he did take to his bed in the afternoon saying the cold had got to his back) to cut the 8 footer so now I won't get glared at by a blackbird sitting on her nest due to cutting it in the spring :T.
Frogga :grouphug: don't be so hard on yourself flower! I used to resort to making myself sick when I was but a young thing like you, but now I'm much more forgiving of myself and just start the next day afresh. So I've put on weight, so do bears for the winter. Now I've had enough and just want to eat healthily again and hopefully I can keep the munchie switch firmly off (says she thinking of putting duck tape over the blooming thing to keep it off).
JoJoB you did well not to murder him! But then you couldn't have benefited from the insurance so just as well you didn't :rotfl:.
Stuck in this morning waiting for deliveries of dog food and new thermostat for fridge, and call backs regarding the price of a new Land Rover tyre. Bad news - Fridge broke down New years day. Good news - DS2 had left his in our garage as he's bought a new house with one fitted. Bad new - garage flooded when washing machine hose burst soaking all the carpet tiles DH had layed in their last year. Good news - the old VAX sucked it all up like a goodun, and I've got a new hose spare. More bad news - DH had a puncture and although the repair is fine as a spare, the old spare is barely legal so still need new one.
Also DD having several weeks off work with no exercise or lifting due to early pregnancy problems. One seriously worried me with her Labrador to walk too. My Pupkin will not accept him (I think he's racist as he was very happy to meet a new German Shepherd last week) so I have to do dog walking in two instalments, my oldie with hers (they get on well) and Pupkin on his own. So I get more exercise than the dogs - woof!
Todays menue is:
Porridge and prunes
Small portion of yesterdays tea - one sausage with potatoes, brocolli, sprouts, carrot and swede. Yogurt
The much threatened STIR FRY
Snack - will see if the chocolate brown banana's (due to cold) which were in the garage are still edable, fingers crossed.to you all.

I didn't end up having the fishcake and chips for tea, had a small portion of rice and 2 S/F quorn burgers.
