  • Evening all,

After several attempts over the years, OH and I are committed and on the wagon as of Monday. Should make it easier than trying to do it on my own.

I shall attempt to post regularly :)

    Hi all,

Feeling really hungry this week, hope it doesn't affect my loss but knowing the way my body works it will and I will have a gain!

B: Toasted bagel with thin scrape of cream cheese

L: Beans (small tin) on 1 slice wholemeal toast

D: Going to Ikea with my Mum tonight so whatever thats left that is remotely healthy, I usually end up with a tuna sandwich or the tomato pasta as there is nothing else I can eat :( Warrington Ikea please take note and add some better options to your menu, Cardiff is great by comparison

S: Probably just fresh pineapple and a plum

Have a great weekend all, going to be hard for me as we are going to a drinks & canapes function thing for friends who are visiting from NYC and when I have had a few my will slips a bit!

Muffins that are actually aiding weightloss? Now these I have to try :p Do you have a recipe to share?

I still haven't weighed myself, partly because I dont want to become obsessed by the numbers and partly because I'm worried how heavy I really am, but either way I'm keeping on with healthy eating/exercising and will eventually weigh myself one of these days! Yesterday went to plan apart from a cheeky biscuit with my evening cup of tea, but I'm not going to let that worry me. Bit concerned about this weekend as going to stay with a friend on Saturday night and I know she has a big fancy 3 course homecooked dinner planned  I think my strategy shall be to just eat v.small portions of everything, that way it wont look like I'm being rude or picky by not enjoying the feast I know she has planned. Anyway onto today's plan...

B: Porridge with half banana and handful raisins
L: Light cream cheese sandwhich on wholemeal, muller light yog, pear
    Snack: Another pear
D: Mushroom risotto with steamed broccoli
Snack: Cup of teat + 1 small biscuit

Exercise: 30min walk on lunchbreak (weather dependant) and 1hr light workout in gym after work.

Finally Friday, woohoo! Hope everyone has a good day. Will report back on my weekend of gluttony on Sunday/Monday.

I have completely fallen off the waggon today - money saving over took me when I opened the fridge! My fella has opened a load of sandwich meat and snacks and then not taken any sandwiches since monday - so today I have:

B: 2 slices toast with jam
L: 2 mini scotch eggs, 1 mini pork pie and the last of mulled wine chutney
    S: banana bread
    D: probably a take away

I did say I'd fallen off the waggon !!

I promise to go shopping at the weekend and only buy good things.
My fella is away from Wed until end of month so I have NO need to buy anything remotely unhealthy.

Good luck to all for a weekend without tempation, hope to be back next week with my head held higher than today - this could well be me! :EasterBun

Hi everyone, noticed a few of you are mentioning having Bran Muffins, ive searched for a low calorie recipe for bran muffins that still tastes reasonably good - any chance someone could pass on their recipe?
    Many Thanks

Hello to all the newbies and welcome, it's a lovely bunch here...some are a bit madder than others (think green and frog-like :D).

WI today, and I have LOST 5 pounds!! :j:j

So that's all that I put on last week now off and another pound...so heading in the right direction! Have been managing some exercise this week as well as more walking. That, combined with sensible eating has done the trick - lets hope it continues!! I walked the dog in the snowy field yesterday using my walking poles...they don't have give you a cardio workout!! Despite not walking faster or further, I was quite k******ed!!

Right off to see a friend this afternoon, we may go shopping (only grocery essentials and exchanging a blouse). Could always go tomorrow and take DS2, but that will muck up my NSDs, though I am more than halfway with them so far this month! I'll see how we both feel later.

At least the main roads are clear of snow, though it was "exciting" going to see my physio this morning!

Have DH home today with a streaming cold...DS2 had it last week and we all thought the rest of us had escaped...spoke too soon!

So driving DH's mini as my old peugeot's battery was flat yesterday and has been recharging overnight...DH isn't up to putting the battery in and my back isn't up to stretching about under the bonnet...still, a great excuse to drive the mini!

    Food for today:

B: Porridge made with water, soya milk and raisins + OJ
    S: HM twink hob-nob
D: HM veg soup, HM bread & low fat cream cheese; satsumas - must keep this cold at bay!
    S: Banana
    T: HM Pizza, veg
    S: HM Muesli slice

    Have a great weekend everyone.
