Well done JoJoB, thats a fab loss :) and well done and welcome to declutterqueen

Feel rubbish today, all I want to eat is carbs and rubbish but I'm resisting the temptation ;)

B: 2 wholemeal toast with marmalade

    L: Soup and small roll

    D: HM singapore chow mein

S: Maybe a dark choc digestive if I fancy it later (OH makes us a cuppa each then doles out my biscuit allocation so I don't go and grab a handful!)

Welcome to all newbies, well don to al losers and lots of hugs:grouphug: to everyone struggling:grouphug:.

Suzid - have you been sneaking a peak at me through the computer?! I have all the syptoms/feelings you describe when I am in over-eating mode..and lots more.

Eltee12 - I was diagnosed as sufferring from both depression and anxiety last August,. I have refused to take anti-depressants as I was already on lots of medication for my bad back...some of this medication gave me an ulcer as well as severe constipation! I am seeing a Cognitive Behaviour Therapist weekly who has helped me through quite a lot already....it was a bit tricky round Christmas, but not as bad as I have been in the past. I just have to accept that things will take time and not to get too frustrated or upset when things go awry. Some days you will feel like c**p - just treat it as your body taking time out to catch up and recuperate.

So try to have a good day every day, but don't get too down if things don't go quite as planned.

My therapist has me thinking of two words every day - Moderation and Adaptabiliy, and I try to keep them in mind as I have a tendancy to overdo things!

Tea is ready, DS2 has made omelette for him and DH, while DH has cooked sausages, baked pots, carrots and a poached egg for me...nice not to have to cook every meal!!

    Have a good night everyone

  • Please may I rejoin. I have put on a stone since the summer and I've recently become vegetarian.

    Today I have had.

    B. Orange juice and muesli with semi-skimmed milk
    S. Orange juice and apple
    L. 3 egg omelette with on half an onion and a red bell pepper.
    S. Banana and apple and carrot
    T. Vegetable risotto with wine and a small amount of parmesan cheese (I know not strictly vegetarian but we've got some cheese left over from Christmas.) Oh I'm going to miss my parmesan.

Does anybody have any low fat/low calorie vegetarian dishes.

Squelched for 6 miles. Boy was it wet.

I weigh in at 14 stone 6 lbs. Long time goal is to be able to maintain at 10 stone.

    evening!

lovely to see some new/returning faces:j welcome to you all!

I did well today untill teatime at work when it was apple crumble and custard:rolleyes::D so I had some. I try not to deprive myself of everything just as keiss said - moderation- thats the answer I think to long term weight loss maintenance.:T I know for a fact that I could never live without ever eating cake etc again so I have it if I want but dont go overboard. The answer is all in the mind really - its all psychological.
    anyway enough of that.:D
    Do what you love :happyhear

    Lunch: Soup and toast (350)

Dinner: mushroom omelette and salad (450)

  • JoJoB - What a hectic day, you did really well to stay in control. Unexpected days like that will always throw a spanner in the works but it's about knowing how to get back on track the next day, which you have done
taplady - I could not have resisted apple crumble and custard either, it's my most favourite dessert and I'll never be able to say no to it! The most important thing is that you enjoyed it :)

Yesterday was a good day for me food-wise, but not as far as weight is concerned. In the spur of the moment I thought I'd weigh myself on the scales at the gym (haven't weighed myself for months, trying to lose weight to feel better is my goal). What a mistake! Turns out I'm about 10lbs heavier than I thought, and 10lbs heavier than the last time I was on wiifit  The ironic thing is, lately I've been eating healthier and doing more exercise than ever before! Obviously this is not the case. OH kept telling me that the scales are likely to be inaccurate etc, but I still can't get it out of my head  Had a little cry and tantrum about it lastnight (OH deserves a medal for putting up with me sometimes!) before sucking it up and realising that wasn't going to help anything. I ate my dinner and allocated evening snack and managed to resist eating anything else for the rest of the night. Determined not to let my apparent weight gain upset or derail me from this journey that I'm on. It's a way of life, not a diet, set backs will happen and we just have to bounce back from them and keep on keeping on :T Gosh, I don't know what's gotten into me today.

    Today's plan looks like this:

B: Porridge made with water, half a banana, spoonful strawb jam stirred through
L: Light cream cheese sandwhich on HM bread, muller light yog, 2 x plums
    Snack: Apple
D: HM leek and potato soup
Snack: Pot of low sugar jelly with yoghurt

Exercise: 1hr cardio workout at the gym

Hope everyone has a good day - so nearly the weekend already! :)
  • May I join please? I have "only" 10 pounds to lose, but the fact that I am not vastly overweight hides the fact that I have a hidden tendancy to binge eat
    :-( .

I eat nutritious home cooked food - nothing out of a packet - for 6 days out of 7 then something snaps and I scoff 2 whole packets of biscuits in an hour.

I need to tackle this and feel amongst friends here as those with a similar problem have been so honest about their eating habits and emotions :-)

My plan is to eat 3 meals and 2 snacks of planned meals a day and go to gym twice a week with NO binging.

    Best wishes to all.
  • Whiteviolet - You sound like my twin!! I have the exact same eating habits as you (eating really well 99% of the time and then having the odd weekly slip-up for some unknown reason) I also have approx 10-12lbs to lose and am focusing on a plan of 3 meals + 2 snacks a day + gym. Welcome along (and to the other new people aswell), I look forward to reading about your progress :)

Waw what a lot of us there are. Welcome to all who've joined or returned like me. :T It's so nice to read what everyone else is going through and to know I'm not alone
Eyes went 'bing' a little later today - 6.30am. Got on with making steak pasties and cheese and onion flans. I love the pasties and they kept me going last time I lost weight. One of them with lots of veg is my only weakness (I wish) :rotfl:. Unfortunately the onions we grew last year must have caught the frost even sheltered in the garage so I'm having to use them up fast, hence the flans which are great with salad and jacket potatoes. Also the cheese was on it's last legs (or in danger of growing some).
DH has day off work today so we're planning walking the dogs together, getting his new tyre fitted and with any luck looking at the fridge to see if we can fit the new thermostat. After nearly three weeks we still keep opening it my mistake.
    Todays menu will be
Porridge and prunes with fruit juice.
HM carrot and lental soup, plums and custard.
Cheese and onion flan with salad and jacket potato
    Snack an orange
Take care all, thinking of you and wishing you no more munchies :D.
