Well done on your loss floyd :j:T:j:T
WI yesterday and I am ashamed to say I have gained 4 pounds.:eek:!! Not a good start to 2010!
I am determined not to throw the towel in and give in and binge (though I felt like it yesterday morning!) So yesterday and today I have tried not to graze all day. I have had only two slices of no-added fat or sugar (nor marzipan or icing!) Christmas cake today, much better than I have been having the rest of the week!
I was not feeling great at all for the first half of last week, and now I daren't go out walking with all this snow and ice. I should be eating less as I am exercising less...not a great success at the moment though!
I am going to try and take each day at a time and try to be good, (or at least better!) eating-wise....it's the munching that's my downfall!
So food today:
B: Porridge made with soya milkk, water & mixed fruit
S: Slice of fat/sugar,marzipan/icing-free Xmas cake
L; HM veg soup, HM bread - no cheese!
S: Slice of fat/sugar,marzipan/icing-free Xmas cake
T: Liver & Onions, with mashed potatoes and mushrooms - all from the freezer
S: Xmas cake again
Everything today is comfort food, but really quite healthy, just what I need at the moment!
Planning on making beefburgers tomorrow and grilling them in my George - fairly gets rid of any excess fat! May make some rolls to have them in, or may have baked potato instead...yummy! Lunch will be HM veg soup again...filling, warming and sooo good for me!
Right, off to check whether tea has defrosted yet!

Glad to have found this thread
I was 15st 10lb at my heaviest, am now 13st 3lb, was 12st 10lb until mid December (lightest I have been for years) and intend to get back there asap and then keep going downwards, aiming for 10st 7lb.
I have tried Weightwatchers, Slimming World, Rosemary Conley, Cambridge diet, cabbage soup diet, slim fast etc... etc...
I am slowly losing weight by der....der.....der...... eating less and doing more! I know, lightbulb moment it was for me after years and years of fad diets, yoyoing up and down.
I am quitting the gym this month as hate it and cannot be mithered to make myself go, plus can't really afford it so will be adding more free exercise to my day where possible.
Hope to pick up some recipes and tips from here, good luck to everyone with their quest :T0 -
Welcome in Jem and good luck with your continued losses
Today should be OK for me as I'm doing all the cooking so as long as I dont start baking it will be fine
B: 2 wholemeal toast, no butter, jam
L: HM veg soupHM chicken and leek pie with culi, cabbage, carrots and broccoli
S: Maybe some fresh pineapple or melon
Yesterday was fine, had my usual veg curry and my friend had made fabulous scones so that was my Saturday night treat0 -
Hi all, remember me? I'm back here yet again!!
Recuperating from the op means I've put on some of the stuff I'd lost, but thankfully not quite all of it yet. Brain couldn't cope with feeling weak and pathetic and needed comfort foodSeems to have all gone back on round my butt and hips though this time.
Anyway, tomorrow I shall start again. Finally back to work soon so need to get into a new routine (as the mid morning teacake doesn't work very well in a microwave at work, and I can't really take my lunch any time between 12 and 3pm).
Plus, now that I'm feeling stronger, I really should be moving my behind a little more!! Did an hour on the wii the other day (mostly doing free step) and my calves are killing me like I've done a week of skiing!!
Been watching my big fat diet and also looking at the gmtv dancing queen diet and debating whether I could survive on 1400 calories. Seems a bit stingy on the serving sizes but I'm thinking of incorporating some of them into my day and also thinking of trying the 100 calorie snack suggestions as that might give me my mid morning snacks with less damage to the buttocks!
I did plan to walk lots this week but with the snow and ice, I've been out a few times but didn't walk nearly as far as I would have if the weather had been better. But did the hour on the wii and plan to do some more of that next week.working on clearing the clutterDo I want the stuff or the space?0 -
Hey (notso)Newlywed hows it going? :j
I've been rubbish  Really really rubbish. I've been totally carp. In fact I've eaten loads and dare not weigh as I MUST have put on. SO much for New year, new me...
I wondered if someone would work out for me how many cals are in my brekky? I have "Fibre Filler" from the F Plan but I sort of added bitsSo it goes like this ~
1 tblsp Albran
1 tblsp Branflakes
1 tblsp Rye flakes
1 tblsp Porridge oats
1 tblsp oatmeal
1 tblsp Flaked Almonds
1 tblsp Saltanas
2 chopped apricots and 2 chopped dates (dead yuck so I eat em quick )
and I have it with Vanilla Rice Milk. There is a big bowl full and its ever so filling but after watching the Big Fat Diet show on C4 last week I bet it's LOTS of cals more than I think  Would be really interested to know if one of you could work it out for a thickie frog like me please
As for being good, well, gonna try again tomorrow....

Hiya frogga.
I'm ok now. Been in hospital - appendix kind of dissolved apparently and was such a mess they took part of my bowel too  Lost nearly a stone in a week (you can only eat cup a soup or jelly for a few days), but don't recommend that weight loss method at all! But sitting on my behind for two months since then means I've become addicted to toasted tea cakes, fried eggs for breakky, not to mention the biscuits
Need to break the bad habits before my buttons burst!!
Anyway, I'm not good at working out calories - but here's the list of what makes up 100 calories from the BFD show - may help?

Your breakky still looks healthy to me and it's low fat. I find if I eat too little for breakfast then I eat all morning coz I'm hungry!!! So if you do try and reduce it at all - do it slow or it will have a reverse effectworking on clearing the clutterDo I want the stuff or the space?0
