slowly fading thats very little for a days intake, you should always eat more than 1200 cals so that the body doesn't store fat.

Because our bodies are the same as from caveman days if you eat very little the body will decide a famine is coming and will turn everything you eat into fat so it can be stored.

Your better eating similar amounts each day so that the body works normally, 1500-1800 cals is good for dieting.

Don't be sad, you'll be ok for a day and if you fell on the ice its probably has taken your appetiate (sp?) away.

Hope you feel better soon and that you get to grips with the ice!!

not been too bad the last few days.

B - scrambled eggs on toast

L - either jacket spud(again:D I like them!) or soup of some sort

D - quorn cottage pie and veggies

also aim to have fruit and a yoghurt.

I'm working long hours over the weekend so there will be lots of temptation in front of me as there's loads of christmas goodies left there but I'll try my best:D there's also a takeaway on the menu but I''ve got that covered and am taking a quorn sweet and sour and noodles.

Hope you all have a good weekend x

I don't know whether I'll keep up with this thread, but will pop in from time to time.

My weight loss is needed for health reasons. Just before Christmas, I discovered that I have dangerously high blood pressure (220/160) and also high cholesterol. I'm now on medication for BP, but it's still 185/110 so a second medication has been started. I've also started on anti-depressants again to help with severe pre-menstrual problems.

Weight is clearly a factor: my BMI was heading up towards 40. Anyway, the first month of medication was interesting as I lost my appetite for a while. As a result, I've lost over 10lb without trying. I'd like to keep up a steady weight loss, through portion control and eating more healthily. As I said to the doctor about the cholesterol, there is a lot of room for improvement in my diet, so we're working on that before medication.

Christmas was a bit tricky, and also it ended up seeming extended with the children at home nearly all this week as well. But I didn't put any one, I think, and that's good. From here on, we're on a healthy eating thingy and I'm also going to try and make sure I get my 10,000 steps a day (not easy in this weather, some days I'll just wii).

    Yesterday:
BF - 2 slices toast with low fat spread and 2 slices low fat cheese, grapefruit juice
L - salad with hot smoked salmon, lettuce, cucumber, red pepper, boiled potato and a dressing made with equal quantities of yoghurt and mayo, plus mustard
Snack - not good - a Topic! But it was the last one
D - pasta bake with pasta and meatballs in tomato sauce, cheese & breadcrumb topping, green salad

Had wine, but won't say anything about that. Was pleased generally. I think I got in the 5 a day, and didn't have seconds of the dinner.

Weight this morning - 13 st 9 lb (was edging up to 14 1/2 stone before).

    Today's plan:
B - two eggs scrambled in frying pan with a little spray on oil & skimmed milk, slice ham, 1 piece toast and low fat spread; grapefruit juice
L - soup made with caramelised onions and baxters beef consomme, piece toast with some emmenthal on it
D - baked potatoes stuffed with leeks, a little cheese, gammon, green beans & roasted cherry tomatoes
Snack if needed: a small piece of ewes milk cheese with some celery and a chopped apple
    Mortgage started on 22.5.09 : £129,600
    Overpayments to date: £3000
    June grocery challenge: 400/600

Floyd - good luck tomorrow with your weigh in! x

raspberry - at least you've got more time to lose any put on over christmas!:D

kunekune - welcome! I like the sound of your baked spuds:T(minus the meat for me)

Miss_cupcake - I always think my food looks like loads too when its written down:o:D but you can lose weight and eat lots as long as its the right stuff!:T - there's no way I'd lose weight if I had to starve myself!I hate feeling hungry.

I had some soup for lunch - not HM but it was on offer in Sainsburys the other week and is one of their healthy eating range - tomato and 3 bean soup, was spicy and very yummy!:T I had it with 2 ryvita cracker breads with a bit if philadelphia light and cherry toms and grapes.
