  • Not too bad today bar shortbread at work (who can resist shortbread!)

Breakfast-berries, muesli, low fat vanilla yog
    Snack-2 clemintines
Lunch-rice tuna veg salad with leaves and 2 slices HM spelt toast with a THIN scraping of garlic and herb light philadelphia (tried 1 slice, still hungry so figured another called for)
Dinner-grilled lightly smoked salmon fillets, mash, carrots with leeks and peas in a dill and sour cream sauce (sounds VERY naughty but didnt eat much of the mash, and was only a small amount sour cream.

So apart from a bit of shortbread, not too bad all in all. Am trying very hard. Weekend tomorrow so that means wine (yay-although empty calories, OH and I have been very good and not had a drink since monday (when we were on holiday so thats OK :D)

    Posting.....head hung in shame....

Oh dear...not only have I lost the plot GC-wise, I have also PUT ON 6 pounds this week!! Perhaps they are linked??

Admittedly lately I have been in one of those places where I don't like to be....eating anything and everything, despite feeling sick and really bad about myself. It is quite a while since I felt like that, and I don't want to go there again.

I had thought about trying to pretend that it hasn't happened, lying to myself as well as to everyone else, but that gets me nowhere.

So, today is a new day and I am going to try and be much better at controlling my eating/spending habits.

Saying that, I am taking a friend out for lunch (will try low calorie!) as she is recovering from an eye op. It is our joint beleated-birthday meal as we haven't been out together for a meal this year at all, mainly due to me being ill. Admittedly my birthday was last Saturday, but hers was in March! (I was in hospital then).

So now that is off my chest, I can get going this morning. Off to the physio first, and boy do I need her today!

    Here is today's planned food:
    B: Porridge with raisins; OJ
    S: as little as possible!
    L: Lunch out!
    S: as little as possible!
D: HM soup and bread (making something more substantial for DH and DS2)
    S: SF jelly with fruit
Wonder how it will actually go? I will pop on tomorrow and let you know!

keiss - I hope you have a nice meal out with your friend and that you manage to get back on track with your GC and eating.

had a reasonably good day yesterday, today has been difficult as I was up at 5am to go to work with DH. It is cold and I have been feeling hungry for stodge - fruit doesn't seem to hold much appeal:rolleyes:

    B - 2 x WW toast(5am)

    S - jam sandwich(WW bread)

L - veggie soup with crackerbread

D - HM butternut squash and spinach lasage with peas.

    S - yoghurt, fruit

I'm trying not to give in to the biscuit tin but its hard!

Tomorrow we're off out christmas shopping for the day. We'll take a flask and sandwiches and have a good breakfast before we go. DH wants fish and chips for tea:eek: I know I wont be able to resist them:rolleyes:

hope you all have a great weekend x

  • Hello
Been away from site for a while, weight loss terrible and I'm feeling down (again.) Have had too much to eat this week and trousers are very tight. Did anyone see the 10 yrs younger prog the other night. It has inspired me as I was feeling very old and over the hill. When I look in the mirror I see my grandma, bless her soul, and that makes me feel 80 odd (I'm early fifties.) The ladies in the prog looked really great especailly the one who didn't have surgery. They were so happy. I want to be happy with myself and regain some self confidence. I need to shift some weight and get healthy. I'm not ready for the knackers yard yet. Went out for meal yesterday, had risotto and salad - good, chocolate ice cream sundade - v. bad. Today had toast, cereal 2 apples, 2 pears and chocolate cake. Bad again. Tomorrow must be healthier.

Thanks taplady, yes we did have a nice meal...not excessive either spending- or calorie-wise. She still can't see very well, so I had to read out the menu and help her avoid tripping over the kerb. We went to Mr M afterwards, which we rather enjoyed...found lots of good deals...the 30p F&V look good this week. I was able to find quite a few bargains for her, and managed to keep my own spends to below £10 (very good for me!), my throat is a bit croaky tonight though, with all that extra talking I had to do!!. Next week I am going over to her house and will help her wrap some Xmas presents...and perhaps write some labels as she can't see well enough to do this yet. I will take some sandwiches and we can have a picnic lunch in her conservatory. We probably should have done something like that today, but we both felt like going out and being civilized for a change!!

Have a good weekend...I am certainly going to try!!

    Hi all,

Last night was weekend curry night (we were having it early as OH is working over the weekend) but I did managed to stay fairly sensible :)

I had a vegetable samber (lentils) with half a portion of boiled rice a piece of naan the size of a playing card and 2 poppadoms so not too bad at all

I suspect I may have put on 1 lb this week due to all the lates in work, I usually end up with a gain even if I don't eat rubbish because my digestion and sleeping patterns get screwed up :(

B: Nothing yet, OH used all the bread and cereal and I haven't been shopping yet

    L: Feta cheese salad

D: HM veggie lasagne and salad

Off to the farmers market to see what nice veggies I can pick up to give me some inspiration for the weeks dinners

Have a fab weekend all :)

    Debt-free and Proud!
(empy enters, hanging head in shame and a good few pounds heavier) Hi all, well her I am back again, third time lucky and all! I am not going to make excuses other than I have just not bothered!! however I am hoping to be promoted soon at work and will have to wear suits etc, so want to look nice! Also seriously considering having another baby!!!! either next year or the year after so need to be fit and healthy for that adventure. Anyway enough waffling, for my eats today I am having:

    Breakfast:

Porridge with skimmed milk and a teaspoon of brown sugar

Lunch: 2 eggs with slice of toast, small amount of butter

Dinner: no idea will update when I eventually decide!!

My issues are very much snacks, particularly choc, however at school we are charged 85p for a kitkat so this should stop from both a money perspective and weight. I also quite like a couple of bottles of Rose a week, this has definatley got to stop - I have quite an addictive personality and started to like the feeling of calmness it brought, particularly after a bad day with years 10 and 11, lol.

    Speak soon
