    morning!

I'm off to work soon till tomorrow morning. Luckily its a good meal on the menu tonight and we're off out for lunch to Morrisons so I know I can get something healthy there.

B - 1 slice WW toast and 28g puffed wheat

L - either beans on toast(brown bread) or jacket spud and beans

D - salmon with sweet chilli and soya sauce with new pots and veggies

snacks - yoghurt and fruit. For a treat as I'm sleeping in I'm taking a chocolate and orange hifi bar:D

I've got the weekend off so shouldn't :De too hard keeping on track - its at work thats its hard cos there's too much temptation.

Hope you all have a lovely weekend x

    Hi all

Doing OK today, had a few treat-type things but restricted the amounts to acceptable portions ;)

    B: Porridge with skimmed milk

    L: Chana dal mini naan

D: Scouse with beetroot and a slice of granary bread

S: 1 small slice of chocolate yule log, 2 slices of granary toast for supper

I also did 2 hours of wallpaper stripping so hopefully that will cancel out the yule log!

    sb44 - I'll have a look at that diet!
Hope you're all doing well. x

It's not a diet though, it's about changing how you eat things ie you have to eat more to lose weight.

He says you can eat what you want but you need to eat your live foods first ie those with nutrients in, veg, fruit, salad stuff etc.

I normally hate salads, I find them really boring but I have been eating them with my meals this week, had a bowl of pasta bolognaise with a mixed salad on the side of the plate. Tonight as an example I had two slices of a deep pan homemade pizza that I made but ate them with a knife and fork as I had a mixed salad with it.

If you eat your live foods as he calls them, first, then you can eat whatever after but I think the idea is these foods fill you up, you don't want to eat your crisps etc after as you feel stuffed. You also need to drink a glass of water before each meal as this makes you feel fuller.

I have only been doing this for a week and my weight hasn't changed much but I have gone down a dress size ( I have been eating chocolate and Twinks Hobnobs whilst doing this). You are told to put away your scales and go by clothes sizes as your fat is replaced by muscle which weighs more than fat.

This is what OH and I do with all our meals (we have either a salad or veg side dish) but its not through any conscious decision, its usally to get the bit we aren't so keen on out of the way so we can move onto the 'real' dinner ;)
If only I'd thought of marketing it as a weight loss lifestyle niche I could be a millionaire now.......
  • lost a pound this week, though due to violent d and v, so prob cheating.

    Hi

I am an on/off reader of this thread (should be more on than off :o), but can I be honest? -

all the talk of WW and SW puts me off!

I thought this thread was about OS ways of losing weight, not relying on a money making organisation to solve your weight problems.

I know some of you will say you are cooking from scratch etc within whichever diet plan you are following, but the opening post sums it up for me - What shouldn't be accomodated here is if the thread goes off topic and covers ready meals, fad diets and weight loss clubs.

This is just my view, but I have to be honest, it does put me off.

Creeps out before she gets lynched. :o

Donna - I do mention SW but I dont go into detail about red, green or syns etc and I dont think many people do. This is a place to swap ideas for meals and tips and to support each other whatever way we chose to lose weight. The emphasis is on trying to cook from scratch as you said or to help people that are trying to do this.
    I'm sorry you've been put off :(
