Hi all, welcome all newcomers.
Well, at the weekend there was some wine, some cakes, some arguing with OH, some toffee muffins.... anyway life goes on even when you feel:wall:
Managed to squeeze in 25 mins on wii fit till it got taken over by OH and the kids for ski jump competitions :rolleyes:Better than the kids sat on their bums watching tv all day though.
Food today:

l: spicy parsnip soup and a small HM wholemeal roll
d: smoked makerel/kipper something... will have another read through my thread and see what I fancy.
Snacks are: malt loaf.
The good news is, I've lost 1½ lbs. So not bad as a start for the first week.
Off for a walk at lunch as it's sunny. Dug out my old minidisc so got some old music I haven't listened to in ages.working on clearing the clutterDo I want the stuff or the space?0 -

Good Morning
Making stock from chicken bones from yesterday's roast chicken and plan on making soup once the gas has cleared ! I hadn't noticed the gas wasn't lit, yet still coming out! I just thought it was my cold that was making me feel groggy!! Oh well, my head and the house are now clear of gas, so I should get off the computer and get cooking. I need to get tonight's tea started too. Working our way through the freezer at the moment.
DH and I are child-free this week (well until Friday afternoon!), so we are having meals that our children don't like! DS2 doesn't like stews, hence tonight's tea, with dumplings too I think! We might splash out and have a meal for £10 from M&S on Wednesday - a delayed wedding anniversary celebration.
I think I will take a walk after lunch to enjoy the wonderful weather we are having.

Hi all!
I've been on ww for 6 weeks now and have lost 15lbs. I've got weigh-in tomorrow night but am doubtful I'll have lost anything as had a night out the other day with dinner and drinks, but I'l be happy if I've stayed the same.
I'm finding it easier to diet now that the weather has cooled as I prefer to fill up on HM soups rather than salads, they just don't fill me up enough!
Made HM mushroom soup the other day and tried making HM cauliflower soup this weekend but it turned out too thin and kept jumping out of the pan whilst I was blitzing it0 -
Not been very good lately, that's why I've not been on here
B: One slice toast as the milk had gone off
L: Egg mayo sandwich, fat free yogurt and an apple.
S: Flapjack
T: Beans on toast, apple.
I still have 12lbs to go until my first goal, which seems to far away right now.
Raspberry Swirl - love the username by the way! Although I haven't had soup today, I'm also a big fan of soups. I should really try and make my own, never sure where to start!
ZaraZara - well done on the loss!My weigh in is on thursday

Raspberry Swirl is my favourite Tori Amos song
HM soups are really easy. Generally, they start off with an onion and possibly garlic, if they're veg based soups. My mushroom soup was just onion, garlic and mushrooms cooked in a spray of oil and then simmered in some veg stock for 20 minutes. I added a splash of milk as I blitzed it instead of something creamier.0 -
Weighed in this morning and have lost 1lb - the first weight loss in nearly a month.
However it means I now total 14lb so I have finally managed my first stone!!! (only 51/2 left to go)
I hope to do really well in the next 2 weeks as then I go on hols - we are going on a cruise so I may just be back where I started when I get back, but I will try to have little portions - then I can try everything without pigging out too much.
Good luck everyone.0 -
Hello :hello:
I've recently returned to MSE and I am reading lots of posts and getting lots of advice and inspiration.
I joined SW 4 weeks ago and love it and when I found this thread I really wanted to join you all if thats ok?
I don't do ready meals - hate them with a passion! I tend to cook from scratch and like 'proper' meals.
I have 1st to 1st 7lb to lose after already losing 6lb in 3 weeks (get weighed tonight as 4th week) and hoping to have lost at least 1lb.
I'm really serious about my weight loss, am a member of my local gym, though haven't been in a little while so need to start making the most of it, I love eating fruit, vegetables, lean meat, pastas etc... so have loads of faith in myself that I'll do it, but I need more then the once a week meeting for support and inspiration so hoping thats where all you lovely people will come in!
Will let you all know how tonights weigh in goes!
LG xx0 -
booo...stayed thee same.
It's :starmod: week for me at SW though so will put it down to that.
Hopefully means next monday is a nice biggun!
Just sat planning my meals for the week and gonna do a shop tomorrow. Nothing should get in my way this week so I'm ready and raring to go!0
