evening all!
I've not posted for a few days but I'm back now! I'm also following(sort of) the SW green days.
Well done to those who have lost!:T
I have STS this week but not too bothered.
I'm working all weekend (and tomorrow) 32 hours and its been an exhausting weekend but I've tried not to be too naughty - did have a curly wurley and small slice gateaux yesterday though!:o:D will brave the scales in the morning. Weigh in is Wednesday evening at SW.
Hope you're all doing well and welcome to the newbies!Do what you love :happyhear0 -
Evening all,
I've tried really hard to be good today but we went visiting Oh's family this afternoon and we stopped at Tesco to buy a cake for them. Oh bought some sausage rolls and mini sausages to eat in the car as he'd told them not to cook for us. When we got there they'd cooked so it would have been rude not to eat it, then they wouldn't stop feeding us.
I guess i'll just have to be extra good the rest of the week, i'm not going to worry too much.
Breakfast - 2 x Toast with spread
Lunch - Ham salad sandwich & an apple
Tea - Stir fry thingy
Snacks - Apple, 2 x biscuits, an ice cream, 1/2 a sausage roll, 5 mini sausages, a small slice of cake & a bakewell tart.
It looks really bad written down:o.
I did go for an hours walk as well so i shouldn't be that much over i hope.
Well done Keiss , come over and join us on the flylady thread, there's a new one starting tonight.0 -
Hello
Monday weigh infor me and at last the scales are moving in the right direction. Have lost 2lb since last week. My sister sent me a book from Aus, The Gabriel Method, by Jon Gabriel, about losing weight without dieting. Lots of visualisation and how to get your body to burn fat instead of making it. He claims FAT stands for famine and temperature and is a basic animal responce. When we keep dieting our body feels as is we are in a permenant famine situation and holds on to our fat reserves. It comes with a CD to listen to at night so I will try it tonight. It might all be a gimmick but then again it might help so I'm going to give it a go. My sister sent it over because she tried it and didn't get anywhere so I need to see if I can do better. :rotfl:WL 11 st 5lb as at 050109. 160209 11st 2lb

Morning!
Procrastinator - well done on your loss:T thats book sounds good to me - I've always believed in the 'famine' thing where you have to eat regularly to lose weight. Too many of my friends starve all day then go overboard with an evening meal because they are hungry and wonder why they cant lose weight. I always have my 3 meals a day - sensible food most of the time and snack in between with fruit or yoghurt if I need it and I've managed to keep my weight off for a year and a half so far!:j
I'm off to work for a long shift today - 11 hours:eek:
B - weetabix, blueberries and banana
L - bubble and squeek(leftovers from roast lunch)
D - HM quorn cottage pie and veggies.
I'm also taking yoghurt, mango and melon with me.
Thats the plan if I manage to stick to it!;)
Hope you all have a good week.Do what you love :happyhear0 -
Hi all,
The scales are still up the creek - one day say I've lost 6lbs - the next say I've lost nothingsomething very wrong there :rotfl:
In any case, I have lost an inch off my waist and a bit off my bust too. A size 12 blouse I bought and couldn't do up at all (it's a very slim cut 12 though, as they do usually fit) will now do up. So must have lost some weight.
Might go for a walk later... And weds will be doing a 3 mile walk to work as OH wants the car (he'll drop me half way).
b: farls, smoked salmon and 2 fried eggs
l: wholegrain rice and tinned salmon
d: some fish steaks from Aldi - think they were talipa or somethingand veg
working on clearing the clutterDo I want the stuff or the space?0 -

Hello again !
Not been online for a few days due to a visit home to family but the good news is that I have managed to lose 2lbs:j
Not quite sure how - I was good up until we went away on Thursday afternoon but I did stray quite a bit then - I haven't sat still for days though and am shattered (looking after ill mum, disabled sister, useless dad and bonkers nana and sorting out wedding stuff).
I'm hoping for a similar loss this week too - I have my wedding dress fitting next Weds so need to / have to be good!
Today's food is...
B - cereal (milk to dog)
L - satsuma, banana, apple, grapes and a go ahead biscuit
D - quorn sausages and a small portion of HM mash (to use up aging spuds) maybe a little bit of gravy
S - hopefully nothing but maybe a small biscuit
E - walk dog for at least 1 hour total (20 mins done already at 7am!)0 -
slimming world green day.
yesterdays meal was a potato and carrot curry.
5 potatoes
2 carrots
2 onions
2 carrots
tomato puree
carton passata
stock cube
pataks curry paste.
gently fry the onions till golden, add cubed potatoes and sliced carrots, add your paste (3 tablespoons i used), some puree, passata (some of the carton also went to another small pan for a onion free curry lol). 3/4 pint stock, again some went to the other pan. some salt and sugar/sweetner as well
simmer gently till carrots/potatoes cooked. about 3/4 hour
serve with rice.
free foods - rice, passata, stock cube, puree, potatoes, carrots, onions
pointed - oil, curry paste 3 syns per level tablespoon (balti. madras is higher, korma is half point lower.tikka massala is 1, rogan josh is 3.)
it was enough for 2 adults 3 kiddies plus left overs which were enough for 2/3
so maybe 3-5 points for a portion ?0 -
Had a bit of a disastrous weekend after my good intentions on Saturday - OH & I went to a pub to watch the cricket as we don't have sky sports & ended up eating Scampi & chips on Saturday instead of my 'good' evening meal
Sunday wasn't too bad, toast, ham sarnie & then a home-made lamb kebab in the evening with loads of salad.
Today, started well - toast, ham sarnie & 1 finger of drifter... but then there must have been something wrong with the sarnie as I had to come home early from work (ahem) So I guess nothing for dinner, maybe some plain toast later on to see how my stomach reacts. Teaches me right for not making my lunch & buying one from a cheap cafe!Total Debt 13th Sept 2006 (exc student loan): £6240.06
