    Anyway. Plan for today:

b: farls, smoked salmon and one fried egg
l: leftover bbq chicken, hm potato salad and hm coleslaw (all low fat mayo)
    d: kippers and roast veg.

Snacks are some melon, and some cherries.

Monday weigh- in and Ive held my weight at 10:4. I'm pleased with this as havent been dieting for about 3 weeks.
I have come to realise a simple truth. A 7 stone person eats enough food to be 7 stone. a 14 stone person eats enough food to be 14 stone.
If I am too heavy then if I eat less, eg if I weigh 10 stone and should be 8 stone [ reasonable BMI at this, not skinny] then if I eat what an 8 stone person eats [ ie portion size and type of food] then I will, eventually become 8 stone. If I continue eating what a 10 stone person eats then I will stay 10 stones.
this is why diets dont work. its got to be life time adjustment.

  • Hello
Still 11st 12 but at least I haven't put any weight on this week. Yesterday I went to Richmond Park and walked 14,500 steps. Go me.
Today I am knackered, got up late for work so didn't walk in, hopefully I will do so tomorrow. Have a pounding headache this eve. Dinner is in oven, lasagna (soya and lots of courgettes, peppers and onions) and a few small roasties. Yum. Gone a bit overboard on the garlic, got a massive craving for it, don't know why but it's not fattening so what the heck. Had cereal for brekkie, and small hot x bun, apple and banana for lunch. However when I got home needed something instant and found half a pack of tortilla chips so polished those off followed by half a pack of pine nuts (weird) then a tomato sandwich when OH brought some bread home. I get home from work between 3 and 4 and that is the danger time for me. Crazy hungry but too soon for dinner, fruit just won’t do. Any suggestions anyone?

zarazara, i am sure you are right, paul mckenna talks about 'the secrets of naturally slim people' think its the same sort of thing.

greatfulforhelp, well done, fantastic result :T:T

    good evening :D

well it was back to reality with a bump today, back at work after 2 weeks off
in some ways its good to get back to a routine, my diet has been appauling over the past fortnight.

    today has been:
    small bowl muesli
    small bag raisins
far too large salmon salad (with some bread :o)
reasonable size portion of toad in the hole and veggies
    tiny piece of lemon cake

am going to try and not eat anything else today, i have a feeling i have put back on most of the 3lb i lost. am going to try hard before fridays weigh in.

    hope you are all ok

  • Hi Everyone,

Had a good day today - like vixtress it was my first day back in the office after a two week holiday. No disasters in my absence so spent the day catching up.

    Today I ate (very slowly):

    Breakfast - slice of toast
Lunch - pre-prepared ham sandwich and a banana
    Dinner - Chicken & Veg

So well on my way to shedding my first pound!!

Hope you all have a good day tomorrow ;)

As I am going to work late this morning (dentists appt) I shall go to the gym for a swim and try harder today.

    Good luck to everyone.

    morning all!

well done to those who have lost this week:T commiserations to those who havent!

Not too bad a week for me, much better than the last 2 thats for sure:D

Procrastinator - things you could eat during your 'danger' time
    • keep some HM soup in the fridge and have a mug full
    • roasted veg cous cous( I keep dipping into the tub for a nibble)
    • muller light yoghurt ( I put a handfull of cereal into mine and its like a muller corner yoghurt then but less calories)
    • rice cakes or oat cakes(G.I wise oat cakes are better)with a bit of peanut butter of low fat cheese spread such as philadelphia or laughing cow.
thats a few ideas of things that I have - much better for you than the biscuit tin or crisps.

I'm off to work soon and am takig my food with me

    B - beans on toast

L - roasted veg cous cous and mackerel in tomato sauce

D - HM quorn cottage pie

    snacks - fruit and yoghurt

have a good day all x

WI yesterday, and I can report a 1 pound loss. :j

So I have now re-lost the 4 pounds I lost in one week a while back.
I am at least back to going in the right direction, now to keep it up!

Went in for the steroid injections yesterday morning (an early rise for me!), rather painful going in and have been a bit yuk since. The first 48 hours after can be a bit hairy apparently. Here's hoping they work.

So today I am taking things easy: may only do my walking in the garden...a 100ft walk to the greenhouse could be my limit, with a comfy chair and lovely ripe tomatoes my reward for getting there! The peppers have a while to ripen..I prefer red and yellow ones to green ones.

Having posted last, I have made 2 batches of the Chewy Fruit Muesli Slice originally posted by Mrs M, but posted recently by me. It is soooooo goood! :D

The first time I followed the recipe closely-ish (using my HM muesli instead of Swiss-style as well as cranberry & blueberry juice instead of orange), and loved it. Then I did a double batch, leaving out the marg/butter altogether and allowing the mixture to stand for a while to absorb the juices before putting into two cake-tins. I froze one batch immediately after cutting up, to stop me eating it all in one go!

I cooked the above with a Beetroot & Chocolate Cake, substituting skimmed milk for the sunflower oil, to vastly reduce the calories, still very yummy - so my family says, I only had some crumbs...honest!!. Using dark (83%) chocolate has made it quite substantial and filling, so my boys can only take a small piece at any time. They came back every so often for another small piece though, so it is disappearing quite rapidly...they didn't even mind it has their least favourite vegetable in it either!!

So my family have enough cake 'n' things to keep them going for a while. I have run out of bun-cases, so buns will have to wait for the end of the week for the next Mr T delivery. DS2 is a mean bun-baker, so it is his turn this week to do any baking. DS1 will actually be home to make tea today, something Chinese I think. He wants his dad to show him how to use his shiny new wok (to take to Uni) and season it.

Must go and have a lie down...too tired and sore to do any more,

    Food for today:

B: Porridge, sk. milk, water & raisins + OJ
    S: Chewy fruit oat slice
L: HM Houmous, toast, peppers, toms, lettuce. - maybe, or just a banana sandwich
    S: Apple/plum/banana
    T: DS1's Chinese meal - hopefully!

    Enjoy your day

    M

Hi all, well done to all losers.
My scales are still acting very strange so not sure if I have sts or put on two  wish they'd make their mind up

Still the belly isn't as bloated as it was ;)

Did 3 mile walk yesterday lunch time.

Not been sleeping well and got stomach ache today so food is not very well behaved:

    b: nuitrigrain oat bar
    l: microwave rice
d: turkey and veg curry and peshwari naan

snacks - pack of crisps, cherries.

Hope to be better with food tomorrow.
