Didn't post yesterday as I forgot to get weighed!!

Anyway stayed the same this week - probably due to feeling really unwell last week and then friends bbq on Saturday night, but at least I didn't put any on.

Hugs to those who need them - off to work and then straight to the gym after.

    Food today:
b: farls with one fried egg and one bit of bacon
l: salmon salad from last night as I had belly ache
d: Chicken breast with pesto wrapped in bacon and veg

Snacks are grapes. Hoping for another good day.

  • Morning all, and hugs for anyone going through it at the moment. Had a good weekend food-wise as I was in charge of my OH's mum's kitchen. Made lamb burgers with low-fat chips and home grown veg on Sat evening then it was roast chicken, salad and boiled new pots and a nice slice of melon and some stawbs for pud. I was craving exercise by Sunday evening as all we managed was a stroll up to the local park to take the kids and dog out. The heat soon had us heading home though. I'm planning a mega walk home this evening from work which should make up nicely for my sedentary weekend. Hope everyone has a good day.
It's up to me now and nobody else.

    Today hasn't been too bad.

    Today I had:

    L. Cheese and Walnut sandwich
    S. 2 apples
    D. Homemade vegetarian shepherds pie.
    S. Half a tin of value peaches without the syrup, 1 yellow bell pepper.

Exercise: 3 mile walk, 45 minute swim and a brief bounce on trampoline.
  • Hello, I need some focus as working from home just seems to mean I eat endless rounds of toast!

    Today's plan is

B - Porridge with banana, sultanas and honey
L - A little Veggie chilli with steamed greens
D - Veggie chilli in tortilla wraps with cheese and yoghurt dip

snack and drinks WILL be water, herbal tea and fruit

Exercise - 3o minutes walking and hand weights

    Morning all!
Sorry I haven't been on for a few days - been to mums to help out whilst she was in hospital - she's home now and much better so I'm back at home and trying to get on with it again.

I missed my weigh day but did it when I got home and I've lost 1 lb:j

I have been very busy and not really paying much attention to food so I guess that the weightloss is due to activity rather than being good.

Since getting back I've had a dose of flu like symptoms - sore throat, streaming cold, aches and feeling sick - has helped with the diet but have done NO exercise at all (I won't count staggering round the block with the dog!)

But I feel much better today (OH has been fab and looked after me) and am back on track - back to work tomorrow.

    Todays food -

B - cereal (milk to dog)
L - fruit (grapes, banana, satsuma, strawberries) and a yoghurt
D - 2 quorn sausages, mash and yorkshire pudding and gravy

Not up to much in the way of exercise but will walk the dog as far as I can.

Hope everyone else is feeling a bit better today? xxxx

    Hi all,
Did a 3 mile walk yesterday.
Planning 2 miles today to sainsbugs and back - unless I chicken out and take the car! :o

Struggling a little today, must try and be good :o Had a few digestion issues with the change in diet  so have made a few minor changes....

b: farls with one fried egg
l: olive ciabatta roll with tinned salmon, light mayo and black olives
d: baked butternut squash with crumb top and chicken breast in bacon and extra veg (should fill me up :D)

Snacks.... two slices of malt loaf (the ready sliced one otherwise I slice it much thicker ;)), some oatcakes.

  • Good morning all, I started the day with an hour of walking - I'm really enjoying myself and getting that funny feeling of missing exercise when I don't get any. Breakfast has been wholegrain yogurt, lunch is soup and a roll with some fruit and dinner will be skinned chicken thighs in the slow cooker and plenty of green from the allotment. Have a good day everyone.

  • Hello everyone :)

Can I join you? I haven't had time to read the whole thread but I really do need some help and encouragement, I'm fat and I'm ashamed of myself for not being able to stick to a diet and so fed up with yo-yo dieting and half asped attempts

I faced up to the dreaded bathroom scales today and I'm totally depressed at what they say  all this lovely OS food isn't helping my waistline even though it is helping my purse and if I don't do something now it will get worse. I went to SW back in January and lost just over 1st but the class kept getting new consultants, sometimes nobody turned up and the last few meetings I went to consisted of nothing but a weigh in so I gave up going. I have 7st to lose to get to where I want to be. I keep starting with good intentions but falter after a little while. Problem is I bought things in and have things in the freezer and meal planned for the month and not everything is low cal even though its OS.

From the posts I've read so far here most, if not all of you eat lots of fruit, veg and breakfast. I don't really like breakfast and I only really like apples, grapes and bananas, will eat some other fruits, veg is the same but I think that's more because I haven't tried a large variety and tend to stock to carrots, cauli and cabbage. I have a sweet tooth especially chocolate and like bread and potatoes, I'm doooomed! I've got a fair few SW cookery books so will go look in them and see if I can alter the months menu to still use up what I have in but cook things that are more slimming.

So far today had 2 decaf coffee's with skimmed milk no sugar and 1 banana. Lunch will be a sandwich on granary bread (2 medium slices) and tea will be veggie mince pasta with salad. Will try and sort out a eating plan that is more diet friendly. Weighed in this morning at 17st exactly, will weigh myself again in 1 week and see what happens. I'm going to try and get a couple of gentle walks in and dust off the Wii for some tennis and jogging sessions as I've not been very active for a long while, get fed up not being able to breathe properly and gasping for breath when I try so I tend not to exercise much. Okay so I have a plan and hopefully I'll get off the pity pot and start getting thinner instead of hiding from the truth and slowly getting fatter! Any help and advice would be most appreciated.
