hi
now into week 2 of healthy eating, did not get to post y'day so here's the run down of it
breakfast muesili
lunch - ham salad on brown bread
snack - 2 jaffa cakes
dinner - 2 sausages, veg mash (carrot, parnsip, potatoe)
supper - cinamnon bagel and slice ham
today
breakfast - muselie
lunch - chips (really stressful day and it was comfort food for the whole office)
dinner - veg and lentil soup, bagel (rest of family had pizza and chips, boy did that pizza smell good)
i have been trying to do some weights - routine at night is after youngest dd goes to bed I have a bath and then watch sky+ neighbours (its my wind-down routine), OH gets in bath after me... now when i watch neighbours I lift some weights, did 3 sets of 20 first night, 3 set of 25 next night, wow that was hard, dd2 laughed a lot, so tonight its 3 sets of 30
i did some weight stuff last year with a personal trainer (when i had some money!!!) it did help me, so figure will slot this in to my routine and gets me out of putting exercise off for any little excuse i can find0 -
not the worst day but not disasterous either, a bit too much picking rther than proper meals:
breakfast 50g hi fibre muesili
snack, oatcake with the last of the hm coleslaw
lunch, wrap with some halloumi and cucumber
snack, picked at a chicken breast portion i'd cooked(ate most of it)
dinner, smallish bowl of the most delicious broccolli and stilton soup and a slice of buttered toast
need to not eat anything else today to redeem myself from the creamy soup and buttery toast
hope youve all had a good day, will try and catch up with the posts
vicky- prior planning prevents poor performance!

It all went out of the window at about 9:30 ths morning - well you can't refuse a freshly baked blueberry muffin can you? (well blueberries are superfoods arn't they:D)
Then the remains of the meeting buffet ended up in our office after lunch and I pinched a slice of pork pie - I don't even like pork pie that much:mad:
So I have had a small jacket and tuna for dinner and hope that I can make up for it.
I hope I can be a bit more selective in what I eat tomorrow.0 -
Morning all! OMG it isn't raining this morning... wonders never cease!
I didn't really feel like cooking last night, so I had scrambled eggs on toast for dinner (and a couple of bites of my OH's fish finger sandwich - YUM!). Still not feeling quite right, but am just getting on with things regardless. my OH has a terrible sore throat and can't speak properly (aww, bless), so at least I am not suffering that badly.
Today's breakfast is a ham salad wholemeal roll - well, I have been up for over 3 hours, so my body must think it's almost lunchtime, ha ha.
Lunch is pittas (as usual) with tuna and tomato and onion
Dinner will either be HM curry (from MSE's Curry Queen recipes) or meatballs with jacket potatoes and mange touts. Depends what I fancy making when I get home.
I am really looking forward to the weekend, as I am going up to Manchester (I am a Northerner to the core and miss the North like MAD!) to stay with my friend and see my parents too. Can't wait, but in terms of calories, I think Saturday evening will be BAAAADDDDD - my friend and I do like a few too many drinks while we gossip
Have a great day all.

Hi All
Bad day yesterday as boss bought in HM blackberry jam, cream and scones for our departmental meeting. However as I knew this was happening I skipped bfast and lunch.
When I got home found teens had crisps and so I "needed" some too.
DD made dinner - pasta with veg, kidney beans and a sauce made from condensed celery soup. Not sure how calorific it was but it tasted yum.
Have had cornflakes so far today, not sure of other meals but there are 4 cauldron sausages that need eating up so thinking of doing something like toad in the hole. Will be walking with friend later for exercise.WL 11 st 5lb as at 050109. 160209 11st 2lb

Morning all. Hope everyone is feeling good today! I certainly am, but only because the weekend is nearly here and as sad as it is, I do tend to live for the weekends these days! You just can't beat waking up late, having a lazy brunch (cooked by OH!) and spending the day mooching about! That said, our flat needs a really good clean this weekend and my naughty little house bun needs his enclosure cleaning too
Today's eating/exercise plan is:
B: Porridge (made with water) with handful raisins, cup of tea
L: Left over cous cous with cherry toms, sweetcorn, olives mixed in and small pot of HM yoghurtButternut squash risotto (made with stock only, no butter/oil/cream!)
Snacks: Cup of tea, banana
Exercise: 5K run after work and 30mins walking at lunchbreak
Now, someone has brought cakes into work today and I'm doing my best to resist. I'm tempted to go have a wee look at what there is and ONLY take a SMALL piece if there's something I REALLY want. I need to exercise more self control when it comes to cakes so this is going to be a true test!!!0 -
Hi all,
Well I'm not behaving too well with my eating... but at least this week I have been noticing more what/how much I've been eating
So I've just scoffed 225g raspberries. If 80g is one of your 5 a day.... does that mean I've just eaten nearly 3 of my 5 a day?
Anyway food plan for the day:
b: farl, smoked salmon and two poached eggs
l: olive ciabatta roll with pastrami, ham, edam, spinach and low fat mayo (I've been in some very weird food moods!!!) Edit: it tasted gooood
d: Cheesy pizza chicken melts (basically flattened chicken breast with pesto, cheese and tomato on top) and some veg.
Snacks were... lots of very tasty raspberries, and there's a tub of cherries to be had yetworking on clearing the clutterDo I want the stuff or the space?0 -
Hi all. Empy, you do make me laugh, I loved the organic weetabix comment! Well, I went to see the nurse at my GP surgery last night and am sad to say that she didn't offer anything exept good advice (which we all know anyhow, just haven't done it in a while) and another appointment in a month's time. I'm going to stay off the scales at home as I can get a bit obsessed and wait to be weighed then. I'm going to start walking for at least half an hour and write my food diary here every day. Breakfast was a fat free plain yog mixed with museli and a handful of blueberries. Lunch will be soup a wm roll and some fruit and I think I fancy fish for tea with home grown veggies. Hope everyone has a great day, thank you all for being here. It's up to me now and nobody else.0
