Good morning all, I had a bit of a wobble (no pun intended) yesterday. My OH may be being laid off on Friday so the only sensible thing to do was go to the pub and have a couple of pints each. Still it could have been a lot worse and I drank plenty of water so I'm not craving tons of carbs this morning. Breakfast was museli, lunch is soup with wholemeal bread and an orange plus I have a banana in case I start to fade mid afternoon. Dinner will be hm cottage pie (WW recipe) and a stack of veggies. Hope everyone has a good day. It's up to me now and nobody else.0

4Moneysaver, that's terrible about your OH, will keep the fingers crossed for you.
newlywed, it sounds like we have similar goals. I too am lurking around a BMI of 25 and really want to lose a good stone. Yesterday was my official start date too
Today's plan is:
B: 2 x slice of wholemeal toast with low-sugar jam and cup of tea
L: Cheese + pickle sandwich, pot of HM yoghurt with blueberriesTuna fishcakes + couscous
Snacks: Cup of tea, banana
Exercise: Run 5K
As a disclaimer I should probably mention that I am due to recieve a VERY generous gift from my OH today, a brand new shiny pink KitchenAid mixer! If it does come today I think it would be rude not to try it out by baking some cakes tonightWill report back on the damage tomorrow!
Have a nice day all :j0 -
I've got a week to go until my op, and I was hoping to have gotten down to maybe 14 7, but doesn't look like it will happen. I also need to plan for waht I'll do afterwards as I want to keep losing the weight, but not be quite so restricted. I did WW a few years back so may read through & refresh myself on the points system.
Storm, good luck with the op next week, I had mine removed on June 20th, and was only in hospital two days after the op. Are you having key-hole? Since then I have tried to pretend that I will still be in pain if I eat any fat. I did have some gastric colic which lasted a few weeks after the op, which help keep that idea going!
I at least try to keep to less than 4 or 3% fat products, except for meat, where I remove as much before cooking (eg white visible fat and any skin), and then cook without fat. When using mince, I dry-fry it, and then strain it of excess fat before rinsing it with boiling water, getting rid of further fat before using it for spag bol/lasagne etc. Look up Rosemary Conley recipes for ideas as they are all low fat.
That said, I did have my first chocolate this last weekend: a bite of mini-mars-like bar from Lidl. It was quite nice, but nothing like I hoped it would be...perhaps I am going off chocolate! Mind you, that was my first chocolate since March 17th!! I have to admit, I have greater yearnings for carbs at the moment, but that's mainly TOTM.
I started some RC exercises yesterday, or at least those that I could do with my bad back. I was amazed how well I managed them...all this weight loss is already paying dividends. So I am planning to do them today again....gently though!
Right, to food:
Yesterday:
B: Porridge (made with 1oz oats, half water/half sk.milk, and some raisins)
S: Apple
L: Tomato sandwich: HM bread, sliced tom & salt, no spread), + salad stuff
S: Apple, some dried banana (high cals!!!)
T: HM Spag bol + wholemeal spaghetti + banana
S: Hot-cross bun + 2 slices currant bread (all <4% fat) but too much carbs, esp in the evening!
Today:
B: Porridge (made with 1oz oats, half water/half sk.milk, and some raisins)
S: fruit (I'll try to avoid too many carbs today!)
L: HM Houmous with crudites and salad
S: one hot cross bun
T: not sure, making toad in the hole for the rest of family...no way for me!, will probably have Baked pot with B beans...at least try and make my carbs healthy ones!
S: fruit/SF jelly
Looks like a good day today, might be able to persuade DS2 to cut the grass!!!
Bye for now

Ditto for me 4Moneysaver, good luck with everything
Wow miss_cupcake I am so jealous! I am still going with an old electric hand mixer...a bit of a struggle to make 4 dozen buns in one go, but I manage...having a mixer, be it Kitchen Aid or Kenwood Chef would be wonderful...not sure where I would put one though! I look forward to hearing of your baking tomorrow.

flower - I am also a BBSSW and if anyone would have made that comment to me I would have looked them straight in the eye, smiled sweetly and asked them what they meant! Then stand back and watch them get all red in the face and try and explain their rudeness! Then give them a pitying sort of look and just walk away without another word:p
Eating went very well yesterday - stuck to my 6 meals aday and stuffed myself silly with free foods as instructed by the consultant at SW:D
Today I am having/have had:
B - bacon, eggs, tomatoes, and rice with peas and sweetcorn (I made a big pot of rice to use as a filler upper during the day - it is free food and stops me snacking on synful food treats!)
s - fruit and yogurt
L - pasta and HM sauce
S - rice mixture
D - chicken thighs roasted and skin removed with baby potatoes, carrots and brocolli
s - berries and muller with a meringue - maybe more rice if still hungry!
Have a good one

Good morning all, well day2 of my new weightloss regime, everything went so well yesterday until DH came home and asked if I wanted anything from the coop, I said no, but being the thoughtful hubbie that he is he bought me a 'treat' a packet of blue ribands and a packet of penguins. I ate all of the blue ribands and a couple of the penguins, grrr, aswell as a couple of glasses of wine.
I was giving up smoking yesterday however and even went to the Dr's to get some patches etc, but they have a 48hr wait for prescriptions so I have to wait till tommorow, did try it without but turned into an awful raving creature lol. Whilst at the Dr's I spoke with the nurse about weightloss etc and she said the surgery are now offering vouchers for Slimming world for 12 weeks for free, result! Is this a national thing or just a Suffolk thing? So I am going too do slimming world old style and giving up smoking, healthy and moneysaving!
Anyhoo for my eats today:
Breakfast : scrambled egg and one slice of plastic bread
Lunch : Tuna and WW mayo on 50:50 homemade bread and a bag of wotsits
Dinner: HM sheperds pie and vegies followed by fruit.
Hope you all have a fab day
