  • Well I have well and truely been OFF the diet wagon for a couple of weeks now and I can just feel the flab sitting around my tummy, it's horrible. Time to make healthier choices (this will not be another diet!) and exercise more. Really determined to go down the lifestyle change route rather than put myself on a diet because that just doesn't work for me. I end up craving all the things I cant have and it really makes me miserable. Anyway, starting today I will make better choices.

B: Porridge (made with water) and handful of dried fruit mixed in
L: Beetroot salad, grapes/blueberries (£1 in tesco!) and a banana
D: Poached salmon and dry roasted veggies, maybe semolina for pud

    Snacks: Tea/coffee

Exercise: As soon as I get in from work and before dinner, either an hour at the gym (if raining) or an outdoor 5K run (if sunny). I find exercising before dinner really helps me to eat less in the evenings.

Hope everyone has a good day :T

Hi everyone, back from weigh in and have gained 5 lbs but it was expected so I am not too upset about it.Thought the consultant might have had a go at me but somebody else gained 13.5 pounds:eek: so she was focused on him instead!

There were a few gains this week and she has told us all to concentrate on eating as much free food as we can this week. She said if it means eating 6 times a day just keep eating as much as you can off the free food lists. Hopefully the idea is you will be so stuffed with free foods you will not be able to eat anything naughty!:p

    Today I am eating

B - cereal with milk and blueberries
L - bacon and eggs and tomatoes
s - pasta with roast peppers and tomatoes (guess whats growing in my garden!)
D - roast pork, SW roast potatoes, cauliflower and brocolli.
s - sliced banana with yogurt and a crushed meringue on top

Think that lot will keep me stuffed:rotfl::rotfl:! Only problem is I will be too full to get any exercise in. Perhaps I should get up extra early and go for a long walk before breakfast and starting my daily eating marathon!

    Love
    Marion

Right, here I go again. I have an appt with the nurse at my local GP surgery who is running a weight-loss clinic AND I'm rejoining Weight Watchers and I'm going to record my daily food intake and exercise on here. You guys are a total inspiration and that's what I need now. I'm feeling pretty low, I've stayed around the 13 and a half stone mark for ages now and I've had enough of squeezing into jeans that only just do up etc. and I know you'll all be nodding your heads in recognition at that one! Today I've had 2 crumpets, butter and marmalade (this was before I decided enough was enough!) and for lunch it'll be a veg soup, a brown roll and an orange. I have an apple for later and dinner will be someing with mince. Good luck everyone.
It's up to me now and nobody else.

Well, I've now stuck at 15 stone for 2 weeks now - getting a bit frustrating really as I know I've been good. Anyway, yesterday I had a complete fall off the wagon moment when in the supermarket - ate a tub of pasta with pesto (loads of olive oil), a doughnut & bar of chocolate. I had to take one of my strong painkillers immediately afterwards as I was getting the gall stone pain.

I've got a week to go until my op, and I was hoping to have gotten down to maybe 14 7, but doesn't look like it will happen. I also need to plan for waht I'll do afterwards as I want to keep losing the weight, but not be quite so restricted. I did WW a few years back so may read through & refresh myself on the points system.

    Anyway, today:

Breakfast - toast with lf marg
Lunch - Krisprolls with cottage cheese, WW fromage frais
    Snack - Special K bar
Dinner - HM sweet & sour (if OH remembered to get chicken out the freezer!), noodles
Total Debt 13th Sept 2006 (exc student loan): £6240.06

    Hi all,

Was skidding around on a slippery slope earlier today, just teetering on the brink of oblivion but I managed to haul myself back! I didn't have breakfast as I was busy in work from 7.30 then I went for a coffee at 10.30 and was just about to blurt out my bad order of 'medium full fat latte and a slice of lemon cake' when a wave of guilt swept over me so I ordered a small skinnny latte and a small fruit flapjack which I know has the same cals as the breakfast I had skipped and at least has dried fruit and oats rather than pure refined sugar like the cake ;)

So its all good, just hope I can stick with it and get the ball rolling again.

    B: Skinny latte and flapjack

    L: HM chana dal

D: Not sure, OH is cooking so could be a roast, prawn laksa, chickpea curry, spaghetti matriciana or chilli chicken ramen as they are his specialities

Well done all, keep at it :)

Still same weight, no knuckling down to try to get below 10st.
today so far, a grapefruit with a teaspoon of sugar. 2 milky coffees.a nectrine. a slice of ham, some lettuce and pasta salad. think it might be soup for dinner then a glass of milk for supper.

Hi All! Been away for the weekend....all went well until I succombed to a dessert yesterday lunchtime! So, I haven't weighed myself today as I'd hate to find myself heavier after all my efforts last week!
