Well, I tried the soya milk with my weetabix and blueberries today - quite liked it, so thanks again Cazz!
Lunch was some oatcakes with a strip of smoked mackerel, a chunk of cucumber and a couple of baby plum tomatoes. Also 5 cherries and a few grapes!
Tonight's meal will be meatballs and???? (depends on DH!)
Have also been to Curves, so some exercise done too.Resolution:

Hi
this is my first post on this thread, and i think on the forum, been lurking on various bits of the forum (put on redudancy notice recently) ... love the old style board
I am currently 11.5 stone, 5"5, would love to lose at least a stone, eat reasonably well apart from supper time when i eat too much, also have a sweet tooth, missed a lot of meals last few weeks thanks to stress, been living on my nerves as my mum would say, not a not fan of breakfast, can't eat anything until been up at least an hour, know that's a bad thing, this morning did go buy weetabix and museli to have in the office so am at least having something half healthy. OH lost job last year, now works part-time looks after our 2 kids rest of time, he is not a confident cook, so ready meals been a regular feature... took some action at weekend and made big cottage pie which did us 2 nights and also spag bog and chilli (3 of each) for the freezer
my main issue is lack of exercise, i just can't get my brain to see it does me any good, don't enjoy it, find every excuse in the book not to do it, too impatient, etc, i find people who exercise on a regular basis a bit weird, my brain just does not compute that
anyway figured if i posted here, would help me keep pressure on myself to GET SLIM, for my own benefit and my kids, keen to learn too from other forum members
anyhoo that's me
todays food diary
breakfast - muselie
snack - apple
lunch - wholemeal toast, ham and beetroot
dinner - haddock, oven chips and home grown peas (OH made tea)
snack - tiny bit homemade carrot cake0 -
Welcome Mrsdrb. Sorry to hear about your stressful time and redundancy notice. With exercise you could increase it by parking further from work and walking the rest of the way, you could wear out hubby - supposed to be very good exercise and stress reliever, cycle with the kids; the list is endless.
Last couple of days have been best forgotten - binge eating and lack of exercise.
Today I had:
B. and L. Crumpets
L. and S: Pizza hut salad, 1 slice of meat feast and a handful of chocolate raisins.
D. Macaroni cheese, corn on the cob and baked beans.
Exercise: If the Wii is free I'll spend half an hour on that.0 -
Rachel021967 :j OH will love your suggestion, cheers, will try walking thing too, we agreed last week to take the kids swimming every weekend so that will help build up those exercise minutes
just had an apple and decided too to take rest of carrot cake into work to remove the temptation for me to eat it all0 -
Had a really hard day at work - managed to stick to eating just the food I took in.
Breakfast - Shreddies and milk
Lunch - Ham and phili light sandwich, activia yog, rice cakes.
Pasta and HM tom sauce made with lots of veg.
Snacks, banana, apple and a naughty bag of mimi cheddars
Have been to the gym this evening so done my bit of exercise. Have also booked a review with a coach so that I can get some advice about my aching joints.
I am finishing work early tomorrow (I hope) so plan to have a bit of a cooking session tomorrow. That way I can have back up meals in the freezer so I have something healthy to fall back on.0 -
Evening all,
Congratulations to all of you who are doing so well.
Welcome Mrsdrb...know what you mean about exercise, in my case I need to force myself for long enough to get into the habit....and I mean go walking, nothing more strenuous. Did manage to stay active most of the day to-day, and I ate:
B/L...Toasted bacon sandwich, cappuccino with sugar;
Sn....Large plum;
D.....chicken breast, celery, carrots, parsnip, broad beans, potatoes with butter, 2 slices sponge cake, tea;
Sn....Small hm roll with butter.
Good luck to all

I did really well yesterday.......until I got home. I had had a rubbish day at work and was feeling a bit low, so I ended up drinking 4 pints of lager during the evening. :beer: AND I ate a load of mash with butter in.
Oops. :eek:
So back on track again today and although I am a bit disappointed in myself, I am not gonna beat myself up about it, because that would be even more negativity and it will just demotivate me further.
Soooo, looking towards a healthier day, I've planned:
Breakfast: A coffee and a slice of HM bread with low fat cheese slice on
Snack: Nectarine
Lunch: The rest of my HM mackerel pate with oatcakes and cucumber
Dinner: New potatoes and some more HM beef stew & peas
Off to Curves at lunchtime for half an hour's aerobic exercise.
Hope you all have a good day.

Not going to be a good day today either as its my birthday and I'm off out for a meal tonight. Start again tomorrow.
Floyd - hope you feel better and its not the dreaded lurgy!
B - toast and marmalade
L - beans on toast(more bread:rolleyes:)
D - spinach and mascarpone lasagne and chips(at pub) and probably a pudding too.
have also had an alpen light bar.
hope you're all doing better than me:DDo what you love :happyhear0 -
Felt really pleased with myself yesterday evening as DH cooked meatballs with spaghetti and corn on the cob. I ate all my corn but deliberately only had half of the rest...difficult as wasalways brought up to clear my plate, but there was far too much and I knew I didn't really want it!
Breakfast today was weetabix, plus blueberries and strwberries and I lunched out with two friends. No starter or pud, but a helping of seafood ravioli and a small glass of white wine! Have already told DH not to cook me any supper - I'll be having ryvita and a couple of strips of smoked mackerel and fruit.
The scales are going down....Need to get off to the gym shortly.Resolution:
