Yikes! Well my starting weight is 22 stone. Crikey. I am 5 feet 10 but that is still a HUGE weight.

I am trying to adjust to it. It isn't how I see myself in the mirror, I can tell you. I must have some fat blindness, ha ha! Well I am not blind now, so I am more determined than ever. At present I am a size 24, so I am aiming for a size 16 (high street not Evans, which I find bigger)

I would be super happy at a size 16 - don't know what weight that would make me, but perhaps 15 stones would be a good estimate.

Jay jay - I am so gald you posted, lets get on this journey together. i am up for the challenge.

    Hugs
    Caz

JayJay do you eat at your desk out of habit or are you really hungry? Do you have a proper lunch? Do you keep yourself hydrated? The body can confuse the signals for thirst with hunger.

    Today I had:

    B. 30g box of cornflakes
    L. Macaroni cheese (husband made it).
    S. Nectarine and tomatoes
    D. Pepper and spring onion pizza with chicken, tomatoes and cucumber.
    S. Apple.

    Exercise: none.

Quick weigh in and post whilst OH is off the puter then I'm off to work. Council has built a new pedestrian bridge over the railway so I have no excuse not to walk to work now. It opened on Friday so I shall try it today, I recon it should take me about 45 mins. My intention is to walk as often as possible. Well I've posted so now I have to.
Have put on a 1lb this week but maybe the walking will bring better results next week.

    Good morning everyone!

Bit of a crappo start to the diet, as I was rushing so much this morning, that I've not had time to pack myself a lunch up for today. But I'm going to be good and buy a wholemeal bread ham salad sarnie and some fruit.

Will be meal planning tonight, for this week's lunches and dinners, so I will know exactly what I will be eating.

Tonight's dinner is HM kedgeree using smoked mackerel and adding some peas so it's more healthy and PORTION CONTROL!! Fresh cherries and yoghhurt for puds.

No exercise today, but I will be doing half an hour's aerobic exercise tomorrow.

Hope you all have a successful and healthy eating day.

Morning peeps, well have made a huge effort today and walked the doggy for a mile, not very fit Im afraid but hope if I can do that at least once a day that will help loads. Did some washing and just had big bowl of porridge, I believe its really good for filling you up and not too bad calorie wise!:j Not sure about lunch but still have leftover pork from yesterdays dinner so perhaps some veggies and pork for tea. Will resist weighing myself until saturday Have a good day everyone.

OK, I do have a tick against this thread - but it must be ages and ages since I posted. I'm no lighter....
Actually my weight has been fairly static for a very long time - but I'm three stone overweight (maybe slightly more!). I'm also fairly tall, so don't look as large as that sounds - which is why I've managed to ignore it thus far.
My GP tells me my cholesterol is now very high - so that's one issue to address. The other is that I have very swollen ankles and mottled legs - and he says I have to lose weight if that's to improve at all.
So, tips, encouragement and a general kick in the right direction would be very much appreciated, please folks.

    Have made a reasonable start,
B: Took shreddies and milk to work as went swimming at 7am.
    L: Small sandwich, activia yogurt.
D: 1/2 an M&S pizza (a bit naughty but was a pressy from DD so a treat.
S: Banana, apple, cherries and pk of Aldi rice cakes

Snacks were eaten at work so will have to be really good this evening.

Rachael - I eat at my desk as there is nowhere else, I do drink at least bottle of water each day, often two. There isn't enough time to go anywhere as lunch is only 1/2 hour, but I make sure I have a proper pack up and if I can plan my snacks then I should make some headway.

I plan to try and keep off the scales until Sunday morning, well we'll see how long I last!!
