Didn't post yesterday as was a busy bee getting ready for holiday on Saturday. Also younger daughter and I have decided to get the old camper van out of storage and head out on a road trip this summer. She works in a school so has 7 weeks off. Thinking of taking maybe 2 or 3 weeks and drive up the east coast and back down the west coast of England & Wales. Not sure if we will have time to include Scotland as well though, might save that for a seperate trip. Now I have to get the van taxed, mot done and insurance arranged before stocking it up with healthy foods for the trip. Will be bringing my Remoska along to make sure we eat proper meals while on the road. I am getting very excited about it all!

    Hi all,

Hoping for another good day today, I need to get a bit of a run going before the weekend as we are visiting people again so basically at their mercy food-wise!

B: 50g muesli with skimmed milk

    L: HM channa

D: Oven baked haddock, HM potato wedges and mushy peas

S: I've got some canteloupe melon and might walk down to the fruit stall and buy some cherries while they are still nice

Not been cycling for a week now, last time we went it was very humid and I had trouble breathing so hopefully next time it will have cooled down a bit but won't have time to go until Fri or Sat.

    Have a good day all

    Debt-free and Proud!
    Hi all,

I'm starting to run out of ideas to be honest on what to eat - lunches are generally OK, but I'm getting a bit bored of the same old dinners. Any suggestions for really low-fat dinners gratefully received (got gall stones, so no red meat, cheese etc)

    Anyway, today:

Breakfast - bagel with lf marg
Lunch - 3 ryvitas with cottage cheese, muller light & alpen bar
Dinner - probably some kind of past with sauce (again!)

So today I'm buying scales.......to weigh my suitcase!!! I'm heading abroad for a month but since I'm flying ryanair I'm on a strict luggage allowance. I figured it was more MS to buy a cheap set of scales than to pay £15 per kilo that I'm over the weight allowance!!

Although I suspect I'll have a sneaky peek to see how much I weigh these days. Not seen the proper figure for a while so could be in for a shock!

Hey, haven't been on MSE for a while, but am quite diet-obsessed atm, so thought I'd post here!

Trying this new diet, which says basically: Eat like a King at breakfast, a prince at lunch and a pauper for dinner.
    So here goes!

    Breakfast:
A 30g serving of Sainsbury's Wholegrain Fruit and Fibre
A slice of wholemeal toast with a teaspoonish of Nutella
A bowl of fruit salad with a nectarine, strawberries and red and white grapes

    Lunch:
    A white crusty roll
    Parsnip soup
    A nectarine

    Dinner:
Chicken pieces with lettuce, cucumber, reduced-fat coleslaw and a bit of grated cheese

    Snacks:
A lot of pick and mix. Oops.

    Drinks:
    Squash
    Water
A small amount of strawberry milkshake

    Exercise:
Jogging and walking on the spot for around half an hour (to try and combat the pick and mix damage:P)
    Walking around town

Good luck with your dieting everyone, you all seem to be doing really well! Keep it up!:)

Marion and Purpleskies have great holidays. The freedom of the open road sounds so carefree. Well done to those who lost this week and a fresh start for those who are disappointed with the scales.

    Today I had:

    B. Muesli and semi-skimmed milk. Two thirds of a chocolate crumpet feed to me by my daughter. Got to learn to say no to leftovers.
    L. Cucumber sandwich
    S. 3 ready salted crisps.
    D. 4 new potatoes, half a plate of broccoli, carrots and beans, one sausage.
    S. apple, orange and 4 tomatoes.

    Exercise: Walked 4.5 miles.

    Hi guys,

Hoping for another good day today, haven't had breakdfast yet as I am off to docs for blood pressure check so fingers crossed its OK (my BP was what spurred me on to lose weight because I had hypertension at 30!)

    B: Nothing yet

L: Either lentil soup or chana dal

D: Prawn laksa with courgette and carrot ribbon salad

S: Maybe a skinny latte if I have time today

Have a fab day all :)
