  • Hello
Where is everyone today? I went for long walk this pm - out for 4 hours but ruined it a bit by having fanta (too hot for tea) and carrot cake in the tea shop. Still haven't had dinner but it will be a salad with advocado and cottage cheese. Hope this cooler weather helps us all - especially with sleeping tonight, feels like weeks since I've had a good nights sleep. Maybe if I'm not so tired I will be able to get more walking done.

Marion hope you're feeling better soon, wish my other half would book us a holiday, we haven't been away in years. I'm sure you'll find something good to eat and it won't hurt to enjoy it whilst on holiday.

Happy Sunday, enjoy it will soon be Monday.

    Hi all!

Still no acid problems so I am now convinced its work related! Had a few nibbles of things today as I have been baking and I hate offering people things if I haven't tested them first, particularly with new recipes.

B: 2 wholemeal toast with lemon and lime marmalade

L: Falafel and chilli mayo sandwich

D: HM roasted veg lasagne, no sides of anything as we weren't that hungry

S: Small HM scone (I mean small like 1 1/2 inches diameter) and a small piece of choc beetroot cake to test and its an incredibly chocolatey moist cake (BBC good food recipe if anyone is interested)

Back to normal tomorrow, I really want to be down to 11st when we go on holiday to New York as last time our friends there saw me I was nearly 14 st!

Well done on your walk procrastinator. Floyd I like the sound of choc beetroot cake. Is the recipe on line?
Today started off well. I had:

    B. Muesli and semi-skimmed milk with a smoothie
    S. Fruit salad
    L. Fafel? salad sandwich
    S. One and a half apples, 3 rich tea biscuits
    D. Chicken, 3 new potatoes, sweetcorn and broccoli.
    S. Strawberries and yoghurt.

Exercise: Walked 1.5 miles, 35 minutes mainly power-walking on the treadmill with a small amount of running and 15 minutes on the cross-trainer.

Thanks Patchwork, that settles it then I will HAVE to give up work :D:D:D:D

Rachel, the recipe is here but its definately one to eat in small amounts as its quite hefty on the calorie front but it certainly satisfies the cravings. It says serves 8 but I think you could get at least 12 slices out of the loaf as its so rich http://www.bbcgoodfood.com/recipes/7663/blitzandbake-beetroot-and-chocolate-cake

Hi. What would be a low calorie Indian meal. I'm going out for an India on Wedneday. I don't eat them often, so I don't know what is high calorie or low calorie. What is best to avoid ? Recomendations greatly appreciated Thank you :-)
    A work in progress :D

Thanks for the support everybody, it really means a lot! I am off to get weighed now, will post the results when I get back even though I am expecting another gain.

The good news is I feel a little better within myself and whatever demon was driving me the last few weeks seems to be getting a little weaker - so hopefully I will make a fresh start today. Once again thanks to all of you.

    Love
    Marion

Hi salome, I usually have either tandoori chicken or a main course size portion of chicken tikka (not massala) which are both dry spiced meats. If I am super good I have it with salad, if not with plain boiled rice and some yoghurt raita.
At the moment I have chana sambar when we go which is chickpeas and lentils in a spiced non-oily sauce with citrus. Our takeaway is fabulous as it does a reduced fat version as well.
