Welcome newbies:wave: and a special welcome back to frogga, good to have you back with us!
Very gingerly stepped onto the scales this morning and didn't get the huge shock I was expecting.... by some miracle I've only gained a couple of pounds over Christmas and am just 4lb over target weight (reached in October) so I'm pretty darned chuffed with that!!:j :j
Went back to work this morning armed with ham and tomato sandwich on wholemeal, cuppa soup, yoghurt, apple and satsumas for me and a box of leftover chocs for the gannets..... which was soon joined by 3 tins of biscuits, large tub of peanuts and various other sweets and chocs brought in by colleagues:eek: Didn't succumb though, well just 2 biscuits:D , but that's more down to being sick of the sight of all things choc covered at the moment...... long may it last!!0 -
Welcome home RS...take care of yourself please!
Not been good today but watched Paul McKenna to-night and feel rather positive
Freezing here, going to bed to warm up.

Hello everyone and thank you for all your good wishes. I came home from hospital this evening after being in since Friday morning with my palpitations (technical term is paroxysmal atrial fibrillation) - usually they don't last long but these ones lasted for over two days and I was beyond terrified as I was on the heart ward wired up to a heart monitor and on a heparin drip. Things went back to normal in the early hours of this morning so they just kept an eye on me for a while and then sent me home on new medication. The stupid thing is that I could have a new surgical procedure to fix this problem but they won't do it unless you are a normal bmi (it's VERY new technology using radio frequencies through your arteries and they have to use special imaging equipment which doesn't see very well through fat:o ). So I have now decided that I am definitely going to get my weight off this year and have my operation and hopefully get a normal life back! Wouldn't it be nice if we could have a meet up towards Christmas and celebrate all our weight loss achievements? I am liking the sound of the new SW extra easy plan and DD1 and I are going to join on Wednesday morning.
The upside of being in hospital is that I have lost about half a stone or more in the few days I was there - the food is rank (and the portions are tiny) and I don't let anyone bring me anything in to eat so The weight drops off quite nicely! I weighed in at 24st 2 last Thursday so am hoping to get a good loss this week - I will take my SW weigh in on Wednesday as my weight and I hope is is less than this!
Frogga has been brilliant while I have been in hospital - She is every bit as cheery, thoughtful and upbeat in real life as she is on this board - Thanks mate!
Marion (or anyone else who knows) - if you are still online could you pm me this weeks SW password so I can have a look at the extra easy stuff for when I go shopping tomorrow? - thanks!
Well one to all the losers - I have only speed read the thread so will go back and look at losses more closely and pick out some of the recipes.Jane

Morning All
Bl00dy pond is frozen over again! Been chipping away at the suface this morning for 45 mins  As if I haven't got anything better to do  Anyway I'm out now so better get on with things.
Hope you all have a good day, I've got me food all planned out and have PLENTY to take to work with me. I was thinking last night that considering I had been stuffing for MONTHS I didn't actually put on that much. I think I got off quite lightly :T
Glad you are back to being possitive RS :A I think a get together is a Brilliant idea :T Shall we make it Christmas? That's something to aim for isn't it? Also I had another thought (I know, there's no stopping me this morning) Lots of people loose weight for a wedding don't they? WELL, Toniwoty get's married in September so we could all get slim for the nice frocks we're going to wear. I know none of us are invited but that's a mere technicality
What dya think? and where is toni? and Nixy?
RIght, now gonna go and defrost me car with the help of Tadpole 2.

Hi all,
Welcome back RS, hope you feel better :T
Its absolutely freezing this morning, said on the news that it was -9 in Chester last night!
My office and lab are also very cold so I have brought my tiny little oil radiator in to try and keep warm :snow_laug
Today will be busy so at least it will keep my mind of the remaining tree choccies in the office and thankfully nobody has brought in their remaining Christmas carp to get rid of it
B: Porridge with skimmed milk, water and honey
L: Lentil soup and 1 slice granary breadRoast chicken with mashed swede, cabbage, carrots, cauli, sweet potato and gravy. Yumz, my favourite!
S: Maybe a skinny cappuccino if I need a break later
Have a fab day all and keep warm0 -
Welcome back frogga and glad to see you are ok RS.
A mixed day yesterday - had a good walk but the coldness increased my appetite somewhat and ended up having 2 bowls of cereal and a few cream crackers a bit late in the day.
Jamie's fish pie was a great success though, and not a drop of fat in it so a very good healthy recipe. You'll find it here (if I'm allowed to post links?): http://www.channel4.com/food/recipes/chefs/jamie-oliver/fish-pie_p_1.html
I did half potato and half sweet potato for the topping, just added a little skim milk and nutmeg to jazz it up.
Breakfast: granola, banana, satsuma (3)
Lunch: Salad with tuna and sweetcorn mayo (1)
Dinner: Pasta with tomato and marscapone sauce
Snacks: munchy seeds, melon and grapes (1)2015 wins: Jan: Leeds Castle tickets; Feb: Kindle Fire, Years supply Ricola March: £50 Sports Direct voucher April: DSLR camera June: £500 Bingo July: £50 co-op voucher0
