The meatballs are ok especially when the are in a nice sauce! Here is the recipe for the sauce I make:

    1lb Plum Tomatoes
    1 Red Onion roughly chopped
1 Red pepper, de-seeded and cut into chunks
    2 garlic cloves unpeeled
1 red chilli, halved and deseeded (optional)
    Fry Light
¼ pint stock made with Chicken Bovril (or vegetable)
Salt and Freshly Ground Black Pepper

    1. Preheat over to 220/gas7. Toss together the tomatoes, onion, red pepper, garlic and chilli. Place in a larger roasting tin, spray with fry light and roast for 25 mins until softened.
    2. Remove from the oven and squeeze the garlic from their papery skins, mix again with veg and transfer to a pan
    3. Pour in the chicken stock, roughly mash veg with a fork to make a coarse sauce, season well and reheat before serving.
    Love

ps - not sure where I got the recipe from - sorry!

Me too! Why is losing weight so hard?

Any tips to get and stay on track? What do you all do when you are hungry/or just want to eat something?? I start everyday with great intentions of eating well but end up snacking and sometimes just eating anything I can get my hands on..

I've found having a glass of water helps as the body can confuse thirst for hunger. Secondly planning has helped. If I know I'm going to be out late then I take a sandwich and some fruit. I don't buy crisps or sweets but I must admit my biggest downfall is the kids baking and feeling obliged to eat anything before it goes off.
    Today I had:
    Breakfast 1 (5am): Smoothie
Breakfast 2 (8am) one and a half crumpets - the half had chocolate spread on it.
    Snack: half a pineapple
Lunch: Ham and cheese with chive sandwich - I need to start adding salad to it. Quarter of a pineapple (pineapple needed to be eaten by today)
Snack: 4 apples and i banana over a 7.5 hour period.
Dinner: Beef stew and cous cous.
Snack: Apple and red pepper (guess what else had to be eaten up).

Exercise: Walked 5.6 miles, ran 1 mile and an hour on the stepper.

I also did my monthly measurements today and although there wasn't much change, my waist is finally smaller than my hips. So I'm quite happy with that.

I agree with rachel about drinking more water and I find that if I write down everything I eat it stops me going overboard. I try and snack healthily and always carry emergency supplies of a banana or cereal bar with me. Planning is essential and also dont have the 'bad' stuff in the house at all or at least keep it well out of sight - I have 2 teenage boys and a husband so we always have biscuits and crisps but they are not in view and I always have some low fat versions in case I get the munchies, Morrisons and Asda do multipacks of crisps/snacks that are very small(bout 40 cals each) and I find these are enough for me.I dont however have chocolate in the house :EasterBun as I just cant keep my hands off it:D

Its certainly not easy to lose weight and even harder to keep it off long term but we have to keep trying or the alternative is to be fat, unhealthy and unhappy.
I think I've waffled enough for one night;):D
