morning all! I'm back after a few days away in Wales.
Went to SW and got weighed last night  not good, in the last 2 weeks I've put 2 and a half pounds on:mad: but I did expect it as I've fallen off the wagon big style. Today I'm starting again with a veangance.

    B - 2 weetabix and a banana

L - jacket spud with baked beans

D - HM quorn cottage pie and veggies

snacks - fruit and yoghurt plus a light hot choccie at bedtime.

I'm off now to catch up with what you've all been up to x

Marion - can I have the recipe for your quorn vegetable rice bake please - sounds nice!

has anyone got any suggestions of what to do with a tin of chickpea dahl? think its free on SW so bought some but dont know what to do with it!

Welcome back taplady! I think we can kill 2 birds with 1 stone here as you could throw in your chickpea dahl into the rice bake! I think. Actually I don't know what dahl is but it can't hurt:rotfl:

My rice bakes are the simplist thing in the world to make. In the Remoska I put 1 cup of rice, 2 cups of water, any left over vegetables in the fridge or a handful or 2 of frozen ones, packet of quorn pieces or chopped up left over cooked meat (gammon is nice), about a quarter of a cup of soya sauce. Cook in the Remoska (or oven I guess) anywhere between 30 & 45 minutes depending on what you have put in there since frozen veg takes longer. Sprinkle black pepper when serving and a some nice grated parmeson - we have this a lot since it can taste so different depending on the ingredients put in!

Going line dancing again tonight - and my 2 daughters are coming with me - so excited:j:beer:

    Hi all

Hoping to stick to it today although there are lots of choccy biccies about!

B: 3 small slices wholemeal toast, no butter and HM marmalade

L: leftover chickpea curry from yesterday (no rice)

D: might be eating out with friend but at least I know I can get a big bowl of moroccan harira soup or vegetable bahmia so its fairly healthy. If we don't go out, maybe spaghetti matricianan or singapore chow mein (HM)

Have a fab day all. Tappy, send the dal my way I eat it on its own for lunch nearly every day! Love the stuff

Hi, thanks for the advice :) I have decided not to join a club just yet but to see how I go managing myself.

I am making an effort to drink more water (not easy with dh home making coffee (with milk) all the time!) and if I feel hungry I am having a drink and waiting 10-20 mins first to see if I really am hungry! Snacks have been fruit but I find during the day I don't need to snack. I am limiting my bread and potato consumption so cornflakes for breakfast, soup/salad/occasional sandwich for lunch with fruit and then a evening meal with the family but more veg and less carbs for me. The evenings are the hardest as dh snacks constantly but I am managing and am allowing myself chocolate on NCIS night!!! I am also making an effort to watch portion sizes and have downsized my plate for our evening meal - looks as if I have more but I still have a smaller portion than on our standard dinner plates!

It's not a rush... I just need to take my time and eat sensibly I know.. I will get there!

I like the idea of writing down what I eat/plan to eat each day so I will try and join in with that.

Thanks for the kind welcome! :j
