Evening all, it is very quiet on here at a weekend! Hopefully you are all off being all healthy and active and enjoying the sunshine!
I have had a good weekend diet wise. Went to the seaside yesterday and managed not to over indulge, did have a gorgeous bacon sandwich for breakfast but made up for it by avoiding icecream and only having tomato pasta and salad for my dinner. Very active all day and 40min of jogging, hulahooping and boxing on the wii in the eveining.
Today I managed over an hour out on my bike with DS on the back which was hard work but I managed to go further than last time.
B Porridge
S Apple
L BBQ chicken and veg kebabs, tuna pasta salad and salad.
S Strawberries and a plum
D had huge late lunch so probably wont need anything more than a slice of toast
Feeling pleased with myself, hope you have all had good weekends too

Hello
Hope you all had a good weekend. Mine was lovely weatherwise. Out for diner on Sat - had a tricolor salad, tomato, advocado, mozerella and basil with 4 tiny dough balls - trying to be good then ruined it with tiramasu. Ho Hum, yesterday went to Kingston and a stroll down the river, took the papers with me and had a lovely afternoon. Walked back along the river then bus home. In all walked over 10K steps. Gave in to the crisp monster I'm afraid 2 packs and a choc bar consumed on the way home, expect that's why I have sts again.WL 11 st 5lb as at 050109. 160209 11st 2lb

Good morning everyone - hope you all had a nice weekend. I am going to get weighed this morning but don't think I lost anything this week.:p
I have a very busy day planned so must plan my meals carefully or it will all go astray. After SW class this morning have to go to London to take husband for hospital appointment, I am babysitting Lara (another little bichon) for three weeks, so have to do the dog thing at the park as she really really needs to have some exercise - she will be on a strict diet while she is with me as well. Her owner feeds her treats on demand and the poor little think is so fat she has trouble running and can't climb the stairs!
Then this evening I am going to a Pampered Chef Demonstration at a friends house. I think it is sort of like a tupperware party but the gear is a lot more expensive. I am being very OS and have already let my friend know that I am not going to buy anything and she is fine with that - still wants me to come. Think I will "forget" my handbag at home anyway just in case I get carried away!:rotfl:
Today I will be eating:
B - scan bran cereal with raspberries and yogurt
s - banana
L - potato salad and salmon
s - apple
D - quorn and vegetable rice bake
s - nibbles a the party (hopefully I will be so full from the rice bake I won't eat much)
Love

Morning all!
I've weighed this morning and have managed to lose half a pound - I've no idea how but am quite pleased all the same.
I really seem to be eating for 6 at the moment - I'm blaming it on my medications but its really just pure greed to be honest!
So with 4 weeks to go until the holiday I need to lose 6.5 lbs - doable if I really put my mind to it.
Today's food will be...
B - cereal (milk to dog)
L - supernoodles pot (low fat), grapes and satsuma
D - spaghetti and a portion of quorn spag bol from the freezer if its still edible, if not I'll make a tomato sauce thing instead
S - banana and more fruit if I'm still hungry
E - walk dog x3 (adds up to about 1 hr 10 mins)
That's it for today - hope I can stick to it!0 -
Hi.. first time on this thread so please be gentle! lol! After half-hearted attempts and whinges I have made the decision that I must make the effort to lose weight and that I need to really put the effort in to keep going. I need to lose 2 stone to be comfortably within my BMI range. My problem is how to eat sensibly and make sure I am eating the correct amount needed in order to lose weight but not to feel constantly hungry and to be natural healthy old-style food. I also need what I eat to fit in with the family's meals and finally(!) I am on a tight budget, dh was made redundant a couple of weeks ago so I don't have spare money to join WW or SW at the moment.
Are SW or WW diets the best way to go about losing weight? Is it possible to find the info on the net without spending much money?0 -
My parents were visiting for the last few days, as it was my dad's birthday on Thursday. Had a great few days but on the downside I've had nothing but meals out & take aways while they were here!
Hoping it hasn't done too much damage but on the other hand I've got a terrible cold (and possible stomach bug) so not really feeling up to eating much.
Don't really like going from one extreme to the other so hopefully I can get back to a normal diet soon!0 -
Hi Yategirl and welcome! I know lots of people on here have had lots of success following the slimming clubs but I don't think you have to join one to lose weight. I never have and managed to lose 4 1/2 stone about 7 years ago and kept it off until I had DS 2 years ago and piled it all back on again. I'm doing the same again, just eating healthily, counting calories and exercising as much as possible and it is working and actually saving me money because I am menu planning my healthy meals so I don't sucumb to unhealthy and fattening processed food because I can't think what to eat. Also the need to have a healthy diet on less calories means I am having to think so carefully about what I eat to provide all the nutrients I need and it tends to be cheaper veggies/ salad and low fat protein.
Hi everyone else, well done Rachel on another loss!:j and to anyone else I have missed!
Today shattered after long a stressful day at work so will not be doing any extra exercise.
B Porridge
L Cottage cheese, rice cakes and apple
D Salmon fillet, pasta and roasted veg
S probably a solero icecream and some strawberries as I am under my calorie allowance so get a treat!:j
By the way to all of you who were subjected to my whining last thursday I am pleased to say my brother, who never has anything good to say to me, said I looked slim yesterday:j so I must be doing something right!

Hi Yategirl. I try and follow Paul McKenna's weight loss principles: 1. When your hungry first drink a glass of water and if your still hungry 10-20 mins. later then eat. 2. Eat what you want.
3. Eat slowly. Chew each mouthful 20 times and put your knife and folk down between mouthfuls. 4. When you think your full - stop. I learnt this by initially eating blindfolded as most of us are programmed to eat what we see on our plate.
I eat three meals a day and try to snack on fruit and salad (but I also do give into temptation) if I'm peckish in between. The weight loss has been slow but I've lost 1st. 8 lbs since February.0
