Thanks for your replies girls I am feeling abit better now, just disappointed by the stupid scales this morning! I worry myself about the amount I eat and my body thinking it's starving, but I always make sure I eat atleast 1200 cal and don't normally feel hungry until evening after my main meal! so I'm not sure that is the problem but I will try to be more careful and perhaps move some more calories to earlier in the day! That said I did have some pineapple with my sandwich at lunch folowing all your advice!
    Thanks guys

    Hi Guys,
Hopw you don't mind me joining you. I have been lurking around for ages and have to say I love the old style money saving bit of the forum.

Unfortunately I am at home at the moment as i am long term sick. I am also not very active as a result. I need to lose about a stone, although losing 7lb would get me into the healthy range. Despite trying quite hard I have stayed the same.

Anyway im combining saving some money as Im soon going to be in a no-pay situation with losing some weight. Im quite a good cook but can't often do it at the moment due to my health. Any tips would be much appreciated.

I must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer.
Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration.
I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over and through me. When it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path.
When the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.

That is brilliant Rachel - well done! It is just so satisfying to go down into that next stone number isn't it!

The sun is shining today - at least for the morning!

Today I am going to eat:

B - cereal with bluberries and milk
    s - yogurt and banana
L - HM soup and sandwich
    D - chicken and pasta

    Love

  • Well it's not been a great week for me food-wise. I've allowed myself a few treats too many, but the important thing is that I've enjoyed them. I've been doing a lot of baking in the evenings too, which i LOVE doing, but I've had to send OH into work with tins full of cookies and cakes so they don't sit in my kitchen tempting me! Luckily he works with a team of 7 or 8 manly engineers who think nothing of devouring 5 large double choc cookies each before 10am  (this actually happened yesterday!) Anyway, today's plan..

    B: Scrambled eggs (no toast)
L: Leftover lentil dahl, a pear and a plum
D: Something with butternut squash... I'd like to roast it and make soup but no doubt OH will complain that soup doesn't qualify as a meal!

Snacks: Can of diet coke for mid-afternoon pick me up and maybe a small bowl of semolina after dinner (is semolina 'healthy'? I make it with skimmed milk and a tiny pinch of sugar and then stir in some fruit pieces, but it's prob really fattening for all i know!)

Just having a look at the Slimming World website and contemplating whether it's for me or not. I can't believe the sample menu, it looks too good to be true!! I'm sure I'd be eating more than what I do normally if I followed that

I can vouch for the Slimming World menus! I eat loads more than I ever used to eat and am never hungry - regular weight loss too!
