jojob, do you have any dried tarragon? Lemon and tarragon goes well for a salad dressing.

Can't believe I'm gonna say this but, any room for a not so little green one? :o

It's been ages since I came on here and I guess, like a kid who ran away from home, the longer I was away the easier it was to stay that way

I started my 452nd atempt at loosing weight on Jan 1st and I magaged Brilliantly until Jan 2nd when I started pigging :o Recovering Spendaholic is still in hospital with her heart (well, she was unlikely to go in without it was she?) and you'd have thought the fright of that might buck me up into some atempt at what I've heard they call 'an effort' but hey ho

So, here I am, if I had a tail it would be firmly between my legs, and once again I'm asking for help from me alde pals on the WL thread. I now weigh 18st 4lb. Not as much as once I was I guess as at my heaviest I have been 22st. However only 3 years ago I was 12 st and thought I was HUGE then

My plan ( My God, that's hysterical!) is to start again tomorrow ( I actually cringed as I wrote that as I'm SO getting de ja vu!) WD will be fridays. I'm gonna do my usual trick of 3 meals, 3 snacks. It's worked before so............ It aint rocket science with me, just need to stop pigging. Once I get into the routine of it I can keep it going but It's just the initial push I need.

SO any of you got objections to this little old Froggie hopping back on board? I'll behave meself honest :D

P.S sort your legs out Tappy! That's SO last year!!

  • I'm up to join a challenge. I've followed your efforts to lose weight, Frogga, and we're very similar. Over the past 6 years I've eaten my way from 11stone up to 18stone  and now I need it to come down for health reasons if nothing else. I'm starting 'officially' tomorrow and am aiming for a weight loss of half a stone a month (a new challenge maybe?). I'm figuring if I weigh myself on the last day of every month I will (hopefully) be able to see a loss worth speaking about (1lb loss doesn't motivate me when I have about another 100 to go :rotfl:)

I hope RS gets well soon, and let's go for it, make 2009 the year we make a change :T

I'll post my official start weight tomorrow morning

    Hi everyone.

I joined this thread a couple of months ago - and promptly fell off the wagon (story of my life as far as my weight is concerned :o)

Anyway, 2009 is now here, which means I can't kid myself that the wedding is next year and I have loads of time to sort myself out. It's THIS YEAR  8 1/2 months away and I need to shift at least a stone, hopefully more like a stone and a half, and tone up my bingo wings before the big day. So I hope you'll have me back.

Doing OK so far. Finally finished off the big tub of Celebrations earlier and just a couple of slices of christmas cake left to finish off - the diet can't start till all the bad stuff's gone :p Been good with the exercise though, managed 4 gym sessions in the last 7 days and one 4 mile trek out on Dartmoor. Just hope I can keep this up when I get back to work tomorrow, it's so tempting just to come straight home and veg after a day in the office. Work should certainly help with my fruit & veg intake though - I doubt I've had my 5 a day for a couple of weeks, I'm so much more disciplined when I'm at work.

Food so far today has been:

    B - oats-so-simple (golden syrup flavour - very bad!)
L - toast with poached egg and baked beans

Snax - the 3 remaining sweeties in the Celebrations tub, bag of crisps.

    Dinner will be spag bol.

Do baked beans count as a veg? If not, that's a big fat zero for my 5 a day! There are some oranges downstairs, I think I better shuffle off and have some of those...

Be strong everyone, I hope you all get to where you want to be.

welcome back BigBird - yes baked beans do count as 1 of your 5 a day!

Retired-lady - I enjoyed the soup thankyou, the tip about leaving a few whole beans to put in at the end was a good one, I really enjoyed them!

hello frogga, not one of the alde ones, more of a new one, but hope I can help as I have a good kicking foot :)

I'm doing a Valentine's challenge on another forum I use, it's my be Voluptuous for my Valentine challenge! The plan is to lose 20lbs (2lbs gone so far) before Valentines, and then treat myself to some proper matching sexy underwear! I like it because you don't need to be in a relationship to enjoy wearing good undies, so it's a reward for all.

Made a big pot of thai style sweet potato soup today, my lord it's got a kick.
    Weight loss to date - 8st 13lbs :j
