Just got back from my visit to the shops and have bought enough fresh & frozen veg to last me 2 weeks plus a large olive oil so now have £8.37 left till next Thursday:rotfl:

It sounds worse than it is because all I will really need to get will be a bit of milk, I have everything else we need. Starting to think this storecupboard challenge is also going to be very good for my diet as I won't be going to the shops and won't be tempted to buy inappropriate food:T:T

I used to post way back in the summer. I have managed to keep the weight off that I lost, but haven't lost any since October. Mind you I haven't put it on either. MIRACLE.
We had a Lemsip Christmas DD2 still poorly, so the goodies have been frozen or DD1 is taking them back to work for her workmates (all male and have hollow legs:D).

I shall try to keep to FFF fruit, fish, fibre and
no meat, no wheat, no sweet, no treats

    Hi Le Foot
I click on quote then delete all the stuff I don't want, if there is another way I would be pleased to learn.

  • Welcome newbies, welcome back oldies, and happy new year everyone!

I still haven't braved the scales to find out the festive damage, saving that one for Monday morning:eek: That said, although I know I gained in the lead up to Christmas with all the eating out and nibbles in work, Christmas week itself wasn't too bad at all foodwise (obviously a few blips:D ) and this week with the exception of new years eve (far too much alcohol!!) it's been almost a relief to get back to normal plain food..... soup, spaghetti on toast etc - yum!

Danger time for me will be the next couple of weeks when everyone, including me, will be taking their leftover xmas goodies into work..... not very helpful to those of us trying to clamber back on the wagon!!

Best of luck everyone for the post xmas fresh starts!

Hello everyone, a nice shiny new year beckons. Feeling positive and like I really WANT to do this, though I spent christmas putting the stone back on that I'd spent the previous 3 months losing. :o

On the plus side I will be happy to never see another pringle again in my life, and am craving decent food so hopefully this will kick start me. Alcohol in the fridge but am going to give it away or chuck it down the sink. Threw away remaining junk food this morning. Very wasteful but I know if it stays in the house it will get eaten.

Bought some nice healthy cereals and plenty of salad and now just need to peruse this thread for some nice meal ideas. 13 stone 5 pounds at the moment - hopefully next friday will show the results of healthy eating.

Good luck for the new year everyone!

     Wanders back in!

After putting on a few lbs on holiday in August I decided to add a few more ... so now it's time to knock it on the head and get back on the healthy eating, give up the booze (not that I'm a big drinker, but glasses of wine were starting to feature more frequently!)

Hopefully I'm going to start salsa classes on Monday - I love dancing and am too old for the clubs now! If I can build my fitness up hopefully the weather will be with me and I can start running again. Anyway one step at a time, hoping for 1lb a week.

    Good luck folks!
