    Morning all:hello:

I've been using this site to keep track of my calorie intake. It is completely free:j and really easy to use. I've been doing it for a whole week (yes, that long:D) and I'm loving it. I can eat hm flapjacks, butter, cream and wholemilk yogurt and drink wine so long as I log it. It takes a bit of planning and some brain work, but I think there are no easy answers, if you want to lose weight you have to put in some work. I've spent the last 20 years saying 'I'll just eat less' and that hasn't worked. Now I'm back to the method that worked for me when I was 23 and lost 4 stone -good old calorie counting. I took my eye off the ball and the weight came back. I'm not going to let that happen again.

I haven't gone over my calorie target (1450) all week even though on Fri, Sat and Sun I had half a bottle of wine. Today was my weigh in day and I've lost 6lbs. I know this is mostly water and the predicted weight loss is 1.5lbs a week but it's a great start. I'm aiming to lose 4 stone by February next year.

So, I'm all fired up with enthusiasm today and I'm hoping to report back next Thursday with more success;)

    Hi all,

Yesterday afternoon deteriorated rapidly after I posted as we discovered it was someones birthday so out come the cakes and doritos. Normally I am OK and just have a tiny piece of cake that I count etc but I was in late so I ate 2 pieces of cake and a fistful of doritos then when I got home I wasn't hungry so didn't eat my tea :(

Anyway, its done now and I am back to it (even though there is still cake left ;) )

    B: Porridge with skimmed milk

L: Singapore chow mein left from last nights tea

D: Not sure as my Mum is visiting last minute so we may end up eating out

S: Maybe a skinny cappuccino if I have time :)

Have a good day all, great loss Thriftlady

So I've had a little bit of a boost this week. I met up with my cousin on Tuesday night, who I haven't seen since Christmas, and she said that I was looking well as she thought I had lost a bit of weight and yesterday one of my friends said she noticed my thighs were a bit slimmer. The jogging must finally be starting to pay off!

It's great to hear things like that as I find it very difficult to stay motivated, especially this week as I'm suffering from some terrible bloating and feel bigger than ever! Having someone say they can see a difference because of the effort I've put in has definitely helped keep me on track!

    Hope everyone is doing well!

might leave the weigh in until saturday

    have a good evening!

    Todays foodages

B - Small bread muffin - 2/3 toasted with flora light, lattee
L - Chicken couscous (made 50g worth = 1 portion but only eat half)
D - Cheese tomato and fried onion omelette - 2 eggs

S - 6 dates, few dried cranberries, one mccoy crisp :rotfl:

Today is day 3 without crisps (does that one mccoy count? lol) . Bought a packet as soon as i went into work as i was upset and had a bad day. Haven't eaten them and they are in the kitchen? The chocolate addict who sits beside me in work is totally amazed and said she is going to try PmCk!

    E - cycle 2 miles, walk 2 miles

Just about to do some exercise - hulahooping (yes really) , and walking on mini trampet. Will update once exactly done.

Ok , 40 minutes of relentless attempts and i cant get beyond 4 hoops. Poor kitty is hiding under the chair and meowing every so often. :rotfl:I'm sweating like a badger, and laughing so it's all good. Every blimmin website says the same thing and none of it is helping!

I am determined so will keep trying, and i can't believe i have been at this 40 minutes. Going to do some toning now. Various toning finishing with 140 skips (up from 100 2 days ago)

Edit again - finished! Exhausted and feeling good! Anyone any hula hooping tips?:Dtired-sleeping-smiley-36.gif
