Well. I seen Claire Richards do it in her boot camp and it is very hard (for me anyway) . Here explains. Let me know if you find it hard - I find it hard to gauge my own strength because of a medical condition, so don't know if it really is hard!Mrsmoneypenny wrote: »I think i wrote on here a long long time ago, that i always wear a pedometer from the second i wake up until i go to bed a night and make sure that i do 10,000 steps a day.
I dont need to lose weight but i defo need to tone up my arms and stomach...
You have shamed me, i must get my Ped out too. The battery ran flat so in the drawer it lies .
have you also tried Pilates or yoga? Both very good for core strength and toning. There are various workouts and some that focus on the armsMrsmoneypenny wrote: »But in place of that, i bought a very small trampoline and do 10,000 steps on that, which is about 75 mins a day. It is much easier on the feet/ankles. I very rarely jump on it, its usually running on the spot type of thing.
I also have a couple of hand wieghts. They started off quite low weight and have gradually increased in weight. If i get fed up with the weights i have a very wide stretchy rubber band (cant remember what they are called) so i get my steps and my arm exercises all while watching tv. I do the steps and the weights/band at the same time...
I have an urban bounder which is a bigger version = my mum gave me. She got it from QVC. I need to get using it. I also have a lend of her pilates machine which is gathering dust. Thanks Mrsmoneypenny, I think you have inspired me.:T:AA little nonsense now and then is relished by the wisest men

Afternoon all!
I've discovered wireless at the conference centre so I'm back on track.
I seem to be over my paddy of yesterday! Sometimes a good whinge is all that will do (sorry!).
I had breakfast this morning and found a fruit bowl so had a selection of melon, ornage and pineapple, with a slice of cheese and a spoonful of scrambled egg (which was yukky, it always is abroad for some reason!)
Lunch at the conference was "meat" soup, fish risotto and bread - so I could only eat bread (veggie) and have some orange juice.
I'm moving back to near the airport later this afternoona nd so can find somewhere I can actually eat something then hopefully!
Its one extreme to the other through no fault of my own - from full on binge (all my own work!) to imposed starvation!
Hope everyone else is doing ok.
Might pop on later to update you with the results of my food search in Portugal!0 -
I'm struggling a bit at the moment, I just want to pig out on chocolate and give up with all the healthyness and exercise - I haven't though!
Breakfast - Rice crispies with semi skimmed milk
Lunch - Linseed wrap with falafel, salad and low fat hummus
Dinner - I have no idea, I am going to make my boyfriend cook because I want a night off!
Snacks - Grapes, strawberries and a muller light.
I will do 45 minutes on the wii fitness coach tonight, have a good day everyone.Slimming World - 3 stone 8 1/2lbs in 7 months and now at target :j0 -
Keep it up KJM, think of the long term goal!
Here's another good fitball exercise - the jacknife. It is a pilates move so never seen it done with a ball before. Actually, that site seems to have a lot of good moves.:D:jA little nonsense now and then is relished by the wisest men
