Ooh! I am going to a surprise party this evening too - wonder if we are going to the same one?;) Mine is a pirate themed one on a ship - I don't like parties at the best of times and fancy dress parties are IMO the worst type of party you can get! I feel really fat, and am not wearing a full blown costume - just a frilly top and black pants - doesn't matter what I wear I will still look hideous:o
Well done to all the losers - I haven't felt able to post for the last week because I have felt really down about not being very consistent with my efforts!
I am trying to do Slimming World (but not going to the classes) and have had a good few days, but I don't want to get complacent because I seem to do fine for a little while and then fall off the wagon in spectacular style.
Marion - are wholemeal wraps a healthy B? I just got some half price in Sainsburys!
Anyway - have a good weekend everyone!Jane

fairly good day yesterday, will try and do the same today. The new pills I'm on may cause weight gain:eek::mad: so I need to be extra good.
Marion - I'd call it piggy pie!
RS - hope you enjoy the party.

B - soaked muesli
S - 2 melba toasts and a banana plus a scraping of peanut butter
L - jacket spud, beans and salad
D - quorn curry(using low fat tikka curry sauce) with brown rice
snacks - yoghurt,fruit(kiwi,apple,grapes)

I havn't asked my Consultant because I am afraid she will say no, however in my opinion it comes under the umbrella of
"57g of any wholemeal bread (except pitta bread)"
which is a healthy extra B. My consultant is very very strict and doesn't even think I should mix yogurt into my rice once in a while - yet SW rice pudding is free? So I just tweak things once in a while and keep quiet about it in class!:p;)!

Thanks for the suggestions, I think we will go with piggy pie since piglet pie sounds like cute little baby pigs:eek:
Mind you it beats all the suggestions of my husband involving swine fever mash etc.!When life hands you lemons, ask for tequilla and salt and give me a call!!!0 -
Hello everyone
I'm not doing well at the moment, feel I will have put on another couple of lbs this week, won't list my failings but my belly is now bloated and I feel soooo ill. Doc has put me on painkillers every 3 hours for 2 weeks and I have no energy. Sorry to be such a party pooper when everyone else seems so upbeat. I considered not posting any more, what with the lack of exercise, wrong food choices and then to cap it all being unable to get computer access, but then I thought at least when I come on here (eventually) I find support in reading all your posts and I have somewhere to offload. I wish it was just me to feed and not the family (selfish I know) my choices are very different from the teens. OH is Ok, mostly eats what he's given.
Has anyone caught the biggest loser on itv, stupid time, 4pm, I'm interested in what others think of the trainers, they are pushing so hard, I thought the "burn" factor was discredited in the 80's. I get so out of breath when exercising it frightens me, but seeing how the contestants are being pushed I'm thinking maybe I'm far too soft. Will keep trying - and failing probably- and post when I can.WL 11 st 5lb as at 050109. 160209 11st 2lb
11st 5lb as at 20.04.09 11st 7lbs 040509 11st6 010609 I wish 2016 175 lbs.

procrastinator - sorry you're not feeling well but glad you're sticking with us!:j hope you soon feel better.
I saw an episode of biggest loser last week and thought the female trainer was very hard on them - I'd never have coped with being treated like that plus some of the exercises did seem really tough for people not in the best condition.
Marion - glad you liked the name piggy pie!:DDo what you love :happyhear0 -
I have watched all the biggest losers I can. The aus one was quite a catalyst and help to begin the diet, I really liked it being on every day and early evening. They do push them very hard and I think that it is only a matter of time before they have one with a heart attack.
However on the US couples one they analysed one womans change in body fat etc. she had lost something like 50 lbs in total, but her body composition had changed so much that she had gained 11 lbs of muscle. When you realise that 1 lb of muscle burns 50 cals a day more than 1 lb of fat then she could eat over 500 calories more per day than if she hadn't gained the muscle!0 -
Hi everybody,
RS...don't even think of not posting, I slack off posting now and then and seem to be worse when I do. I don't like that loser programme because of how hard they make people 'work'....think that they must have health check before they start as I would be afraid ( and unable) to do that stuff at my age and weight....extra walking is all I try to do and not even succeeding very well at that lots of the time.
To-day's menu:
B....Muesli, coffee
S....Apple, slice bread with hummous
D...will be either chicken or gammon steak with cauliflower, peas and oven chips;
Snacks....another apple, some pineapple, kiwi, tea
Have a good evening all

Why can't you mix yoghurt into the rice - do you mean your breakfast rice thingie? Why not? And do you know why you can't have pitta bread?Jane
