Morning All! I have woken up this morning and after my first normal half hour of zombie-like state I seem to have got so much done!
Perhaps its the sunshine but so far I have walked the dog, cooked a joint of pork in the pressure cooker so I can chop it up later when it cools and use it to make a pork bolognaise and some more cabbage rolls for the freezer. I have also cooked a gammon in the pressure cooker (handy for sandwiches, rice and pasta bakes etc) and I am just about to use it for the 3rd time to make a big pot of vegetable soup because I got loads of cheap reduced veg at Tesco's last night (bags of stew type veg for 12p!!!):j Plus I have swept and mopped the kitchen floor and loaded the dishwasher!:T
Don't know whats happening with me but I had better get as much done as I can whilst the power is with me:rotfl:
Today I am having:
B - fruit, yogurt and rice
S - apple and satsuma
L - Vegetable soup and bacon & tomato sandwich
s - scan bran cakes with coffee
D - pork and pasta bake
Have a good one everyone!
Love

Morning all, well done to all losers.
I have to report a ½lb gain - not sure how come, other than my breakfasts have been slightly bigger to try and stop the 10 am munchies
And the scales haven't had a new battery for 3 years so thinking that they probably need one (they keep changing their mind every time you get on them - by anything up to 5 lbs!).
I managed a bit over 8k steps yesterday and have done 4k already today (walked part way to work). My goal this week is 7k steps a day with at least one rest dayI seem to be able to do more on a Mon, Tue and then it gets a bit harder nearer the end of the week, I think that's probably because I often have Sunday as my rest day.
Car's got it's mot on Thurs. My most hated day of the year
Food plan today:
b: potato farl with a small piece of smoked salmon and two poached eggs
l: beetroot soup
d: prawn stir fry
Snacks: pear, grapes, and a small slice of Mrs Crimbles dutch apple cake (wheat free, egg free, really low fat etc but still tasty!).working on clearing the clutterDo I want the stuff or the space?0 -
morning all - just a quicke as I'm off for an 11 hour shift in a min. Am taking my food with me to try and avoid temptation
B - beans on toast
L - roasted veg cous cous with tinned mackerel
D - veggie moussaka and something? maybe salad
Snacks - banana, snackajacks, yoghurt
have a great day all xDo what you love :happyhear0 -
Afternoon all,

L....smoked salmon sandwich, apple, tea;

Hi all,
Not coping too well today as I am getting increasingly confused trawling through work papers that contradict each other so my mind is wandering. I haven't overdone it yet but the tendency is there when I feel like this
B: Special K semi milk
L: 2 wholemeal rolls with cheese spreadNo idea, OH is making it
Hope the rest of today is OK although its unlikely I will lose anything this week as its TOTM and I can't get out cycling as I'm too busy0 -

I take my first dose around 7 am, then again around 1 pm and then around 7 pm - which leaves me 12 hours till the next dose! When I wake up with the pain and if it goes on for more than a half hour or so I will take a couple of paracetemol and 2 iboprovin - normally around 2 am
I will go and see the Dr, but don't want them to think I am a moaner:o

Voltarol tablets are AWFUL and I don't envy you at all!
I hope I'm not out of line in asking, but by iboprovin, do you mean ibuprofin? I just wondered, because voltarol is a STRONG ibuprofin...maybe something like codeine (on its own, not with paracetamol) might help?
Anyway, thought I'd FINALLY drop in LOL
Just getting ready to have some soup for my lunch (HM) and I even had breakfast! :T
I'm not terribly sure what we will have for dinner tonight, as we have food in, but don't know what to choose
Got really hungry last night after my tea and it was sooooo tempting to have a chinese takeout, but was really good and had a slice of bread and a big bowl of salad instead. It didn't seem as satisfying as having a takeout, but it filled a hole, and thats all I needed
Anyway, better dash and feed people!0 -
I forgot to mention that my sister has been put on a months trial of the new diet pill Orlistat by her doctor after struggling for 2 years to lose weight. She eats healthily but big portions in my opinion and has a mild tyroid problem they think. I'll let you know how she does.
I was on Orlistat three years ago and swore I would never use it again.
I cut out virtually all fat and, although it helped me lose half a stone, the side effects went from embarrassing to frightening.
I didn't really understand why my doctor put me on it, because I had managed to lose 3 stone all by myself
After I came off it, I was so put off by dieting anymore that I promptly put the three stone back on and then some
I wish your sister LOTS of luck, maybe she will be one of the lucky few that it really works for
If she has a mild thyroid problem, have they put her on meds for this?Mine is a serious problem and I take quite a dose of levothyroxine, if not, then if I were her I would question the doctor as to why they haven't sorted this bit out firstbeing hypothyroid means she will put ON weight quite easily...
Sorry, I don't mean to sound preachy, but I really take issue with doctors who think that with health, it's all down to "weight" that we have these problems.
It's a personal crusade of mine
Sorry:o:o0 -

Thanks kadiya, I did mean ibuprovin - it was my spelling error:o Why do you say Voltarol is awful? They are the first tablets that have allowed me to walk pain free in the last 5 years!:j I honestly havn't had any problems with them at all, just need something for the night time pain. I imagine losing another 100 pounds would help a lot also:o:o!

Voltarol gave me pretty bad stomach pains, but normal ibuprofen desn't.I have taken it for my joints and in all honesty, I'd rather not take it. I have a regular prescription for Kapake instead, which is blooming amazing stuff!
I think it may just be that different things work for different people
Marion, why not discuss amitriptoleine (sp???) with the Dr, it used to be an antidepressent, but a lot of people who I know have MS or arthritus take i for the pain, and swear by it.I've never taken it, even when it was offered, as somedays the pain is a lot more manageable than others.
Newlywed, well done on avoiding the chocolate! I havent had squares crisps in years! They used to be my favourite!Yum!0 -
Well done on the steps newlywed. I forgot to put my pedometer on today and spent 3 hours trawling round the shops so feel cheated.
